19:25: This is due to tile tick priorities. A repeater facing into another repeater will always be ticked before a repeater facing into redstone. I did not expect the first time finite (Galois) fields to become relevant again in my life to be in QR codes lol. I remember learning about them while taking abstract algebra but we mainly studied them because they’re interesting and we only vaguely got references to them being used in cryptography
Btw if anyone is curious what they are, here’s the wikipedia article (GF(256) is the finite field of order 2^8) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finite_field?wprov=sfti1

this was a very interesting project! i highly enjoyed watching this video, you explained the concepts behind the qr code generation really well and it made me appreciate your redstone in a new way as i was able to understand which parts do what and why. i'm going to send this video to my friends :D
19:25 Explanation! So when there is a repeater (facing the same direction or to the side or a comparator facing the the same direction or to the side) in front of normal repeater it has a priority over a normal repeater while torches have less priority than both of them and I also have to say that if the repeater gets depowered and repowered before it depowers it never depowers. What exactly happens is that when the torch turns off 2 ticks later repeater turns off first and then torch turns on (because repeater has priority) then 2 more ticks later next repeater doesn’t turn off because the one before it has priority (because it has a repeater in front of it) More info there: m.th-cam.com/video/03eaDmffj5Q/w-d-xo.html
maybe the problem at 19:25 is schedule list. If not, then it is an interesting thing to discover. TL;DR: lv 1 + lv 2 repeater is different than Lv2 + Lv 1 repeater. Someone named cubicmetre has a video (the wonderful world of wireless redstone) about how to use it for wireless redstone at any distance apart (as long as the chunks are loaded of course).

19:28 This is, because there's a."hidden" mechanic in minecraft, which decides, which way the redstone or signal (I'm not sure which one) travels in which direction first. So, if you mirror a Redstone build, it could happen, that it doesn't work correctly. It has also something to do with the alignment, where the signal/redstone has to travel. Sry, I'm not really good at redstone (I need 3 hours to get a basic door working 😂😂😂), but I saw this in a video of phoenix or so, where he explained it. I remembered the important part, but the rear is lost in the void for me, sry 😂😂😂
Thanks for the shout-out matt! It was a lot of fun working with you on this project and helping along the way.

I only remember the w4w9W

Ah of course, it’s all so obvious now
0:37 I recognize that URL anywhere
even pixelated it still scares me

The part at the end, when he blows up the QR code and it still worked actually left me in awe. Outstanding video Matt!

ngl kinda hype. i have been curious about how QR codes kinda work for a long time so it is super neat to see it explained in minecraft

Awesome, more plz, like Redstone pc made with create mod.
do you have a redstone texture pack for bedrock i cant Offord java so i have to play on bedrock
