Want to know what Israelis and Palestinians in the Middle East really think about the conflict? Ask a question and I will get answers.
People ask Israeli Jews, Arabs and Palestinians questions. I go out and ask random people to answer.

As an atheist, I kinda feel sad watching how some people think of atheist. I don't think they are dumb or anything but it's just the way they were brought up. They have a terrible misconception about atheist.

+Jack Doyle I don't think what he's saying is that Muslims aren't human. I think what he's saying is that when you identify with a certain religion or ideology you separate yourself from the rest of the human race. Now that he is no longer a Muslim he doesn't have anything separating him from the rest of the human race.

But you can clearly see *what religion does to a person.* They have not yet been able to give a good argument or evidence that there is a God.
Religion makes most people intolerant, they shouldn't think differently. They shouldn't question anything.

Well the issue with "rape statistics" is that in places where you're allowed to rape your spouse, or in places where the woman raped can be punished for premarital sex, perhaps many rapes go unreported? Or reported but never punished? Could be something to this you know.

Heywood Yabloome you can actually compare several religious groups to the nazis.
Even Stalin can be compared to Hitler and he was an atheist.
You can compare Kim Jung-Un to Hitler if you want and North Korea worships him...
Also Hitler believed that the Arian race was pure, muslims believe that you need to believe in their god just as much as Christians or Jews do. Not races ;)

    • @MGC-XIII
      @MGC-XIII 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Heywood Yabloome hahahaha I'm sorry, you're referring to Extremist muslims as all of muslims. That is wrong, it's like saying that the Crusades reflect on all Christians, you know back when they invaded a country because they felt like it was theirs "Because of god!"
The Israeli government is utilizing terror in Gaza.
The American government which is mostly run by Christians, is using terror in the middle east.
      Not terrorist xD right!
Muslims believe in the old testament just as much as Jews do and more than what Christians do. They see the Quran as being book 3 where Christians see their new testament as book 2.
Take a long hard look at American history, what is the root of most of the civil wars and hate crimes? Religion, which Religion you might ask, Christianity.
I don't understand why people ar trying to whitewash the Christian history. It has been just as barbaric as Muslim history have been.
There's 500 years between the books and sometimes it feels like there's the same amount between the cultural aspects as well.
The only way to change that is to enlighten and embrace, not to shun and kill.
Education shows people to be more moderate and actually less religious. I believe this is the only way to conquer any form of extremism, be it TWBC, ISIS, IRA, Al Qaeda, Scientology, etc.
Also, can you remain you intellectual honesty and say that Christians do not kill in their gods name when they feel offended? I can think of several newer stories of just that.
They are the same religions at the root, not much more different than Catholicism is from Mormonism.

@@maryanndeweerd2570 that's not it. God sent his prophets to tell people that he exists and there is no other God with him, he is the creator of everything, to worship and serve him only with no other God with him, since many people used to worship lots of Gods. If you wanna speak particularly about Islam and it's teachings about believing and worshipping God, Islam says that there is no force or compulsion in religion , and it teaches one to ask, question, look, research everything they doubt or are confused about or dont believe, and in the end it's up to the person. But if you wanna look at other religions I advice you to search what the Talmud and Torah believes and says about atheists ( you'll be amazed with the explicit words used). As, a believer in God myself, I believe God is not in need for US to believe in him, in the end we are his creation, and he is our creator. So us believing in him isn't for his sake , it is for our sake. Why?? Yes, to be rewarded with eternity in heaven, and we cant be in heaven if we dont believe in God to begin with. I hear from many atheists telling me that we are lucky, some of them actually said that they envy us ( the believers) , I asked why? They said because humans NEED to believe in someone. 🤷🏼‍♀️ But if you, personally, dont believe in heaven and hell, then yeah everything I said is meaningless to you 😄

@@valsett3385 so you believe in aliens but refuse to acknowledge that this whole universe and everything in it has no power behind it? You limit yourself to your philosophies and books and forget that all these “great philosophers” themselves believed in god and came with their theories because of a belief in a god. They also most of them committed suicide or went crazy because of how ridiculous they made their theories. You refuse to acknowledge a creator but you believe in aliens… if you’re gonna argue about or against a creator then apply that to what you believe to be the truth. You just don’t want to accept that if there’s a creator then there’s a responsibility. So it’s arrogance and you’ve already been talked about in the Quran. Your phone and computer and car and all this technology has an engineer and laws that make them work… so this whole universe and al the factors on earth and in the universe that is complete symbiosis with everything is more complex than the most advanced technology on this earth. Just cuz you don’t see a god doesn’t mean there’s no god, you can believe in your aliens but apply your Philosophy and view on what you believe in then. For you to believe in your aliens and philosophies and come to your own conclusion and think that’s the truth then realistically you have more faith than anyone who believes in a religious book so you’re the most faithful cuz your beliefs are based on blind faith and baseless arguments with no content. You refuse to say a god but yet you say there’s aliens so you’re more faithful than anyone else you just refuse to call it god and people who believe say it’s god so there really is no difference. If you refuse to look at your own body and how your body works and how it applies to this whole world and ecosystem and universe and say “god isn’t there” and that “aliens have a greater chance of existence” more than god then you’re the one with the most faith and the most limited to your personal beliefs so don’t call people out for having their beliefs on a religious text. Your philosophies are taken as law and as ultimate truth for you so therefore you are just as limited as you say you’re not

***** I wouldn't be so sure the majority were atheists. I think many of them simply didn't mention they were believers (but I'm in no way suggesting the USSR was bad because of believers). They certainly didn't fight for atheist values, because there is no book which states what atheist values or goals are. They fought for the state, which happened to be led by an atheist.
I strongly disagree with your next point. Leftism doesn't have anything to do with fighting for your government. Militarism has been strongly associated with extreme right wing ideologies. Leftism isn't equal to 'big government' like you suggest. I take you are an American? Because most people who have this view are Americans (correct me if I'm wrong). Anarchism and communism are both left wing ideologies and propose a stateless society. Police states, anti drug policies (including alcohol), strong military, xenophobia, death penalty are all associated with right wing politics. Religion has always been associated with right wing politics, with tradition and conservatism.
Don't confuse ideology with (real) societies. Communism is the perfect example to explain this. By definition, communism tries to achieve a stateless, moneyless and classless society. Did any communist society ever achieve this? Obviously not. But leftism is an ideology, an idea, unlike a society. A society is real and things might turn out differently from what its intentions were. Ideological communism has never been achieved, but it is unfair to think communism is what the USSR was. In fact, no 'communist' nation ever proclaimed themselves communists, they all called themselves socialist on the way to communism.
Let's be fair: the only reason why the USSR called themselves communists was because they had to pick an ideology, but in fact they were all dictatorships (which is in contradiction with the very definition of communism). In the end, dictatorships don't follow an ideology. Left or right wing dictatorships, it doesn't matter. They all follow the same idea: glorify yourself and crush your opponents. It has nothing to do with left or right wing.
The bible does state that leaving the faith and trying to convince people to believe in other gods should be punished by stoning to death. Deuteronomy 13:5-10.
But yeah, that doesn't count anymore, right? I pity those people who were unlucky enough to live under the old law, which was by the way created by a perfectly just god :)

    • @Secret5964
      @Secret5964 8 ปีที่แล้ว

***** Well if you define christians in your own way, I guess most soviet soldiers weren't christians in that sense (but neither would those people have been atheists).
You are now demonstrating the 'no true scotsman' fallacy. You seem to think you are a true christian (as many christians do), and you believe you can see who's a real christian. Obviously you cannot since you assume you are a 'correct' christian, but nobody even knows what that means. If you would go back 1800 years ago, you would probably think all those christians aren't true christians. Their christianity would look like a totally different religion from yours. That's because christianity is passed on through blood and culture. It changes over time, it adopts new viewpoints and, especially in the last century, has adopted many secular values. This is all culturally based.
About the 'passed through blood': do you even know why my country is christian? Because the Romans killed and raped my ancestors, and obligated them to renounce their faith in their own gods (Wodan, Donar, Balder...) and were forced to accept christianity. To make it easier for them to accept this weird and foreign religion, the church modified their own religion so that it would be more like my ancestors' religion (=syncretism = mixture of religions = culturally based). For instance, they pinned the date of Jesus' birth on the 25th of december. And obviously the christmas tree is a pagan symbol as well.
The abrahamic religions are religions of conquest. The jews killed their neighbours (or even their own tribes) who worshipped 'false gods', christians conquered Europe and killed rival denominations (catholic vs protestant) and the saudis conquered the Arabic world. The reason why those three are the largest religions is because they are the most violent and conquered most parts of the world. Jainism will never be a religion of great numbers because they won't conquer any people or force them to accept their religion.

    • @Secret5964
      @Secret5964 8 ปีที่แล้ว

Matt Schwartz Okay sure, I should have said "the reason why christianity and islam are the largest religions is because they are the most violent and conquered most parts of the world, and judaism didn't have a chance because they were persecuted and killed off by everyone including christians."
But that's a rather small correction to my whole post. I think it's clear I didn't mean it in that way when I said:
"The jews killed their neighbours (or even their own tribes) who worshipped 'false gods', christians conquered Europe and killed rival denominations (catholic vs protestant) and the saudis conquered the Arabic world. "

Religious rules and laws invariably hamper the development of conscience. This causes all sorts of problems like pointless violence and warfare. Those who preach nonviolence as a rule or law tend to be the most violent of all. Such people cannot be trusted because they’ll violate their proclaimed values with the weakest of excuses.
When you externalize compassion into a set of rules and laws, what you’re left with isn’t compassion at all. True compassion is a matter of conscious choice, and that requires the absence of force-backed rules and laws.
The more religious a person becomes, the less compassionate s/he is. The illusion of compassion substitutes for the real thing. Religious people tend to be the most bigoted and non-accepting people on earth. They’re the least trustworthy and suffer from the grossest character defects. They pretend they’re doing good, but they’re really collaborators in a system designed to push people into unconscious slavery to a “higher” authority. They are slaves promoting slavery.
Historically speaking, religious people love to fight each other. Instead of unconditional love, they practice conditional loyalty. The only unconditional aspect is their thirst for blood. If you disagree with them, you’re a target… either for conversion or destruction (both of which are really the same thing).
If you value the ideal of unconditional love, you won’t find it in the practice of religion. Real compassion doesn’t arise from believing in God, from practicing various rituals, or from studying the concept of karma. Compassion can only result from conscious choice, and this requires the freedom to choose without the threat of punishment or the promise of reward. If you’re obedient to your faith, it’s a safe bet that compassion is absent from your life. You probably don’t even know what real compassion feels like.
The more we collectively abandon all religion, the better off this planet will be. . It just means we must stop turning spirituality into something it isn’t.
      Faith is fear.
Religion is the systematic marketing of fear.
Blessed are the poor (donate heavily). Blessed are the meek (obey). Blessed are the humble (don’t question authority). Blessed are the hungry (make us rich while you starve). Blessed are the merciful (if you catch us doing something wrong, let it go). Blessed are the pure of heart (switch off your brain). Blessed are the timid, the cowardly, the fearful. Blessed are those who give us their power and become our slaves. Muahahaha!
That’s the kind of nonsense religion pushes on people. They train you to turn your back on courage, strength, and conscious living. This is stupidity, not divinity.
Religion will teach you to fear being different, to fear standing up for yourself, and to fear being an independent thinker. It will erode your self-trust by explaining why you’re unable to successfully manage life on your own terms: You are unworthy. You’re a sinner. You’re unclean. You belong to a lesser caste. You are not enlightened. Of course the solution is always the same - submit to the will of an external authority. Believe that you’re inadequate. Give away your power. Follow their rules and procedures. Live in fear for the rest of your life, and hope it will all turn out okay in the end.
When you practice faith instead of conscious living, you live under a cloak of fear. Eventually that cloak becomes so habitual you forget it’s even there. It’s very sad when you reach the point where you can’t even remember what it feels like to wield creative freedom over your own life, independent of what you’ve been conditioned to believe.
Faith is the coward’s substitute for courage. It’s also really good marketing if you’re the one who controls the faith. If you’re afraid or unwilling to assume total responsibility for your life, you’re a perfect match for religion

I actually met 4 atheists while I visited Palestine, in 3 different cities: Nablus, Ramallah, and Bethlehem. Three girls and one guy. When I expressed my surprise after the third atheist I met, she said "I suggest you stop counting, because there are a lot of us." Her estimate was 20%. I was absolutely shocked, but also thrilled. I hope the atheists will be able to come out of the closet someday and have the freedom to express their views, and have open and respectful dialogue with religious people without endangering themselves or jeapordizing their relationships and reputations. Since Muslims in most Western, secular democracies are allowed to practice and express their beliefs, then atheists, agnostics, and other non-Muslims should be given the same right in Muslim countries. Failure to guarantee this reciprocity is complete hypocrisy.

Im not saying that all of the crusades were justified but first which i think is most commonly demonzied was the most justified.
Byzantine emperor asked for help after 4 centuries of seljuk attackc on byzantium, also christian pilgrims were denied to enter holy sites .
Somehow noone mentions that lot of crusades were targeted on european pagans , mainly baltic ...noone cares about it,doesnt fit they agenda of victimhood
What about ottomans ? they nearly conquered europe , you fail to realize that europe was constantly in a shadow of islam , always on defence , well until 18th century. Should all of europe pay because 5 countries had colonies ?
Btw are you liberal(traitor of your race and culture) or a muslim ?
i cant tell :Dif you are muslim then you must be very satisfied right now, but if you are european then its time to wake up , are you so selfish that you would rather not be called racist then to defend your culture and your people?

No,you are mixing first crusade with the Peoples crusade which was just a bunch of priests and peasents(few knights) who answerd popes call and went right to holy lands ,and get massacred in turkey , First crusade happened year later actually , its main forces were mainly french and norman noblemen , we could say it was the only succesfull crusade becuase they established lot of chrisitan states in holy lands principality of antiochia, county of edessa, kingdom of jerusalem etc.
You should learn about those things your coutnry is full of Crusader citadels and fortresses, crac des chevaliers or marqab for example,i always wanted to visit those places , unfortunately they suffered some damages in this fucking war and who knows when will syria be safe for tourists again,
Do you live somwhere near the coast or in damascus ? What dou you thing abou war and basar al assad ? i think he remaining in the office is the only logical option , i dont see any other .
Im from Slovakia , look im not racist or anything but you have to see why are people so islamophobic, this multiculturalsim is literally destroying our culture ,there are states like belgium or netherlands that produce most isis fighters in the world ,lot of muslims in europe are radicalizing, just look on the internet what is happening in the sweden or germany .
Our country didnt want to accept any refugees , but EU wanted to sanction us , so we decided that we will take only assyrian christians as our country has 0 mosques and basicaly no muslim community, but EU still called us racist etc.
EU is fascist because it forces small christian nations to take thousands of refugees(mainly muslim) with no background information about them.

They are forced to marry men they do not know, and many of them are prevented from completing their studies. The suffering of men is not half the suffering of women, particularly in Islamic countries. She is killed because of the hijab, she is killed because a lock of her hair appeared, there is a Saudi woman who was killed by her brother because she wanted a job, there are hundreds of victims who were killed by their fathers and brothers. Hadeel Al Harthy was killed by her atheist brother because she photographed herself in Tik Tok. There is a man who burned his wife in Amman. Hundreds of hashtags are raised to save women from murder and violence. Our lives are miserable compared to the life of any man in these countries, and no one hears the voice of women.

And that's for sure way way way more big than the milky way if compared to the rest of OUR universe (since we don't know the limits of the universe, a multiverse theory is more than legit). That has been discovered recently, because people who lived before hadn't the right tools to "experience" that. Since the bacteria and sea creatures evolved into man (Because yes, that's where the apes we EVOLVED from came from), human cultures from all over the world created over 2700 gods. God is just a simple and blind answer to our questions, that can be answered through science and rationality now, and what does humankind still do instead of being grateful to these real saviours? It keeps searching the easiest answers in something that it created itself. That's so depressing...

How these people can truly believe that a book is evidence of God is astonishing. Some basic logic refutes that. "God exists, because our holy book says He exists, and we know our holy book is true, because God wrote our holy book, which says that God exists..." Repeat ad infinitum. It is circular logic. In philosophy, it is a well known fallacy called Begging the Question. This has been known as a flaw in logic since literally ancient times. Even Plato knew this, and he died centuries before Muhammad was even born. How brainwashed and indoctrinated must you be to not see that? Religion is purely cultural. It always has been. If there IS some divine truth, then it is not likely to be ANY religion mankind has invented to further our own ends. If a culture wants war, then the gods of that culture will endorse war. If a culture wants peace, then that culture will have peaceful gods. It is plainly obvious to anyone who has studied more than one world religion in depth. But that's not how it works usually. You are taught the religion of your parents, who learned their religion from their parents, who learned their religion from THEIR parents as well. There are converts, sure, but nowhere near as many as those who have been indoctrinated as a young, impressionable child by family and other trusted loved ones. Just because YOUR culture says that YOUR god exists does not mean that He actually exists in reality. There can only be one objective truth, and you don't find it through bias and emotional attachment to ideologies. You find it through impartial reasoning.
Allow me to save you the years of emotional pain of having to slowly reason it out for yourself and abandon the chains of your indoctrination, as I had to do: God doesn't exist. It's wishful thinking. Better to rip that band-aid off now, so you can start to live your life in a meaningful way. Be free, and live free. Stop praying to an imaginary character from over four millennia ago. It does you no good. It just gives you false hope. You will be disappointed in the end. God is literally just Santa Claus for adults. Except Santa is not a sadist like the god of the Bible and Qur'an is. Sending his "beloved children" who he supposedly forgives to burn in Hell forever, no matter how good they are, just because they didn't see the logic in believing. Bullshit. That is a control tactic. Terrifying you into belief. Total terrorism. It's fake. All of it.

Atheism is also a belief, because go back to the beginning, and atheists have to believe that matter has existed eternally, without any logial or scientific explanation as to how matter became to ''be'' out of absolute nothingness. as an atheist i disagree. atheism is a relegion like all the other relegions. it just has fewer scripture and rules ;)
let me elaborate: you cant prove a negative. you cant prove there is no god, just like you cant prove that there is a god. not believing is still that: believe.
obviously its the more rational believe, because why would you believe in something for which no evidence exists. but this does not change the fact that its still a matter of believe, not fact.

But on the other hand it is always possible to prove that something which has a reality exists, such as objects, laws of nature or physics .... I don't think religion is an opinion really, more a way of life. People argue it like it's opinion but it's something so embedded in the individual that it feels as though it was always there. Becoming an atheist to me was an easy enough thing to do, because I probably decided it when I was around 9, but unless you're exposed to different ways of thinking early enough in your childhood, it's virtually impossible to totally erase that part of your personal philosophy. You can't blame these people then if they never, until it was too late, had anything else.

You dont expect me to believe Koreans would do that either (who are super christian). You dont expect a Vietnamese or a Taiwanese to do that about rejecting Buddah? No they would just "pray for you" and that would be it. Super conservative christians in rural towns in the hills would argue, but none of them would display such a lack of respect for human rights as a lot people in this video did.
No, you clearly mean Islam, so stop saying "Religion" cause I am getting sick of it. Most religions have a very open and tolerant view compared to islam about free will. I am not talking about all muslims in general (this video proved some muslims has a tolerant view) but Islam itself.

Okay, could you write that one more time in english cause I am not so sure what you're trying to say. I couldnt make it past "religion racist" cause that sentence alone is confusing me...
Are you also trying to compare nuns and pastors (individuals who has committed their entire lives and occupation to the theological teachings to represent their religion) to say ordinary common people with a religious view?
That's not a fair comparising, a better one would be to compare a pastor to a imam, and I can assure you that the pastor would have quite a more liberal view regarding choices of religion and feminism than an imam would.
And yes I consider christian women to have much more liberal prosperity in their lives. They usually stay "pure" cause they have made that choice themselves, maybe through encouragement by the family, but rarely by threats or force from anyone.
And if they left christianity, or sexually liberated themselves, again they wouldnt be persecuted for it.
Try being a woman in basically any islamic society and try converting or have a sexual free will. Your choice will be: The knife, the stones, or the acid liquid. Take your pick.

Confidence to the extreme is actually a good risk to take in a survival scenario. If what you want to do is perpetuate your genes, it makes sense to act in a way that will cause many people around you to follow your lead. This will increase your status, and thus increase the quality of mate you can attract.
This goes for men and women.. although admittedly more for men. For women it is much more important to be young and fertile looking, biologically speaking. However, I am sure we are all familiar with the 'Queen Bee' types who also do this.
And this is all assuming your purpose is to procreate with the best genes you can get. If you have some other primary goal, it doesn't make as much sense.
