Great video. How would you install ball ended tanpura strings ? Would you put the string in same way to the ball then bend it back over like a regular string ? If you have any info that would greatly appreciated
Hello sir, I have a problem with my tanpura. When I try to rotate the peg for making the tune pitch perfect, it doesn't tighten much and automatically comes back to the position where the pitch tends to be imperfect. Please help!
it happens sometimes. you need to hit it slightly inside the hole, with your hand. it will go deeper and likely stay. then you can fine tune with pegs under the bridge
@@artyomhvansThank you sir. I did repair it. It is fine now but still I face issues like when I put some pressure on the peg it stays intact but if I rotate it to tune it slightly, then it again rotates in anticlockwise like before. Is there a problem still persisting or by putting slight pressure we can overcome it? Like there's no crackling sound while tuning the pegs...
@@prajuktaacharjee2006 press as hard as you can when rotating. Also you may hit it inward with your palm gently, after rotating. It's not a major issue. If too much troubling just take the peg out and give it a slight rub with a rough sand paper. Also in the hole, with the help of a round pencil. This should remove any lubrication that might have formed through the years and make the surfaces sticky with each other again.
