- Ladies and Gentlemen, this is your Pilot speaking, my name is Tseno, I hope you are having a great day and in today's episode I have a proper German drag race for you.
-The Mecedes AMG GTR comes with 4liter turbocharged V8 with 585hp and 0-100 km/h in 3.6 sec. It weighs 1630kgs. RWD and 7spd DCT
-The Porsche 911 991.2 GT3RS comes with naturally aspirated 4.0 flat six six with 520hp and 0-100 time in 3.2 sec. It weighs 1400kgs. RWD and PDK.
-The Porsche 911 991.2 Turbo S comes with 3.8 liter turbocharged flat six with 581hp and 0-100 time in 2.9 sec. It weighs 1675kgs. AWD and PDK.

And changes drivers, because in this channel there is always a better driver than the other, in this particular case the driver on the left(the one that starts driving the orange Porsche).
The GT3RS and the AMG GTR - two absolute beasts for a track day, too bad my only experience with them is in the Forza Horizon videos that I create🤣

Merc GT R isn't built for standing start drag races - it'll lose every time because that's not what it's built for. It'll nail almost everything from a rolling start though (which is what it's designed for, because full races aren't just standing starts). You need rolling starts too.
Agree with you completely, unfortunately our test track is too short for a rolling race. I do apologise for this.
It creates so much drag though, that is what is currently scarong me from buying one (amg gts/gtr) i have goals of wanting to build it to make 1400hp at the wheels (gad vip stage) and take it imsa to have them work on the car to get to around 3200 lbs (check out their imsa rxr amg gts/gtr) i just worrying that itll be slower then a corvettes and lambos due to drag.... Any adivce or tips?
you can make that exact same statement for the GT3, bc it has a massive wing on the back, if you didn’t see. The merc can’t beat the gt3 on a track, here the amg is outmatched. The porsche made 7:20 around the nurburgring, when the amg did 7:33. The gt3 can beat the merc on the straights and corners
@@gold-6680 that's the AMG GTS time dude the AMG gtr put down a 7:10.9 on the Nurburgring....so no the Porsche is slower
@@austinweippert4065 Then i rectify because i was wrong for both these cars. Searched for both wrong, in the vid they have the gt3 rs and the amg gtr and the 911 gt3 rs driven by Kevin Estre did 6:56 minutes around the nurburgring

That statement is usually used when something has failed to meet required expectations...that Gt-r (in small letters) further loses to the M5 and im not even referring to the competition pack and of course, in a longer track, its more a pauser rather than a purposeful car..

Let me tell you….the Turbo is a hero off the line but apart from that uninspiring and boring as a sports car. Drove the 991.2 Turbo S Cabrio and was emotionally completely DISAPPOINTED. But as daily driver in summer and winter time with awd, pdk…and other gimmicks no one needs in a Porsche…it can also be used as a substitute for a quiet and fast limousine!
The Turbo S dominates in a straight line, either of the other two would completely decimate it on the track.

I haven’t watched the video yet, but a race between a 4 wheel drive car that goes fast in a straight line and two cars that are fast and turn well. It can only go one way.

That 911 turbo s IS JUST BUILT DIFFERENT!
That’s the older version of the 911 turbo ..the new one is much faster.
This is 991.2 that’s correct!
The 992 Turbo ist still rare, mostly professional motor sport chanels got press cars.

I have Mercedes AMG GTR 21MY. It is so amazing car.
I`ve owend Porsche 911 Carrera S 21MY, but I sold early because 992 is not fun car to me.
922 loses exhaust so that I can not satisfy that car.. Not fun for me.
Last year, I bought Merceces AMG GTR and very satisfied with AMG GTR.

The Merc isn’t meant for drags like this but, some got it going off the line to 60mph in around 3.5 seconds or less which is impressive for rwd

911.2 Turbo s has slightly higher top speed than the AMG, but both are great cars ngl
But that’s the 2021 version of 911
GTRS has too much drag due to the aero parts. This affects the top speed in the higher end. Hence why AMG-GT was catching up.

The AMG GTR is very a hard car to launch compared to the porche because it is not a 4 wheel drive

If the AMG had 4matic+ or if you guys had a Rolling race, the Merc would have just thrown the Gt3rs and would have jacked up with turbo s pretty decently because RWD's aren't good at straight line acceleration

Very nice video but 7 second 100-200 time is very slow for the gtr. I used to own one and here in turkey the fuel that we get is just junk and still my car ran 6.3-6.5 almost every time but regardless this video is a really nice comparrission

That GT-R sounds amazing. So does the GT3RS. The Turbo S sounds horrendous and quite shameful, but performs like a beast.
When launching the turbo s you gotta push the little button on the steering wheel to get the best launch. But I’m sure you know that.

there is literally 0 chance that rear engine car would lose to a mid engine RWD car in a drag race from standing still if there is not a huge gap in power. Launch control can't brake the laws of physics, it can only deliver power as efficiently as the grip allows it, and having engine at the rear gives you a ton of grip during the launch. thats why Porsche is so good from standing still even though it's only RWD, it's rear engine gives him so much grip at the start that it can even beat AWD cars from 0-100km/h (
