That car's purely a beast, couldn't stop smilling throughout the entirety of the video wwww (Props to the new on-board camera setup, it gives so much more feeling and feedback of the track compared to the previous one, insane job !)

The car is a beauty. A classic. Power and a balanced chassis. A Rentech version of the gt amg with the 6.2 naturally aspirated engine did 6.30 secs on a empty ring a few years ago.

This would have to be one of the fastest cars I have seen that Misha has driven on the Nurburgring! From seeing how relaxed Misha is driving the car, this Mercedes look easy, safe and user friendly to drive even at high speeds.

I'd say it's a shame Europe isn't getting the C8 ZR1 (even though I hate the look of the C8's) to get your thoughts on the 1064hp new Corvette, but I'm sure your one dealer connection is probably going to do his best getting around that red tape to get one, so maybe you still will get a chance to take the new ZR1 around the Ring and give us your thoughts...more aero and downforce than the Z06, but a slightly softer chassis setup.... plus the big HP number, sounds like it could be a Ring weapon
The sound and emotion the car gave, made me want to say push that f--er Misha!!!! So much adrenaline and Power! You could definitely see the front torquing under the load of the engine in the video… Very nice! I just kept wanting to swear during the vid!!!!!
I don't like any Mercedes nowadays... except this one! OMG. Pulls like a Tesla, handles and brakes like a Porsche and sounds like an angry jet fighter. Amazing car for the Ring! One of the best for sure.
100% one of the best sounding and performing cars. My other favorite sound is the Aston Martin V8. Now if we can just get a gen 2 or gen 5 dodge viper to sound like that I can peacefully move on to heaven and know I had a good life.

The GT3 version of this car holds the Mount Panorama - Bathurst lap record at around 1:56, the lap is on TH-cam and is amazing to watch and listen too, I wonder if Misha will ever get an opportunity to drive on that track!!
was not 100% stock GT3 though. they said if it allowed to be a little derestricted and a few aero tricks here and there, it then did that time. i saw a mini documentary on the lap. still outstanding though.

Stock turbos won’t allow it to go 700hp. I would say this was making 670hp-680hp but the AMG GT R drivetrain is incredibly efficient.

You can get the only manual version of this engine in the Aston Vantage V8, or at least within in a very limited production period.
