Ohhh Wowsers!!! This is THE BEST!!! What a fabulous, fun, easy, therapeutic, relaxed way to make all sorts of ephemera using scraps!!! 😱😍 Sooo... is anyone else wishing they had more scraps... or is it just me? 🤣😂🤣 I’ll never have enough scraps again lol. There are sooo many possibilities to make ephemera from these... everything from pockets to tags and belly bands to covers!!! Sooo awesome!!! I just did this and love doing it. But now I'm our of glue. So I'm going to add some stamping. As it got longer I rolled it and used a book clip to hold it. So much fun!

I’ve been enjoying watching you work with your current glue book, which is obviously a history of WWII. It was amusing today to watch Winston Churchill getting more and more surrounded by flowers and ultimately covered over with pink. He was an artist himself so he should understand. 😆

I thought I was the only person whole found collaging videos relaxing! I started watching this last night and fell asleep, it was a really good sleep too despite my 5year old being sick. And then I went straight to collaging when I got up this morning. 💖

This is a cool idea, I would make a folio or journal cover of some sort out of this. Sure up the other side with a heavy card stock for structure....hhhhmmmm...got me thinking Gayle.
I LOVE this idea of an endless collage for tags...I made 2 sheets and whoa!!! MIND BLOWN!!🤯 so much done in so little time.....I LOVE LOVE LOVE it🥰thank you for sharing..I will have to make more tomorrow 🥰

Oh my gosh Gayle, what a great idea! I love the randomness and then to see how it all comes together when you cut out your tags and cards. This is going to be addictive I can tell. I like too that you can go back and forth and not do any one thing too long and come up with a whole pile of ephemera really fast. Thanks for sharing.

Love doing this! I’ve always found so many uses for these from covers to belly bands and everything in between! Pam at Paper Outpost has a great video on a similar way of using up scraps. Thank you for sharing.

Just thinking about your expanded craft room. (Woohoo!). I think you need a “dining room” area with a big table that is well-lit from above. You’d have more room to lay out big projects, but more importantly, you’d have lots of space where your grandkids can “play” with you when they visit. I’m sure they would love knowing that Grandma had set aside a special place for you all to craft together. 😊❤️
After I watched this I am thinking that’s the only way to do collages tags and journals cards. The flow is so relaxing and the results are random but they turned out awesome.

I just started doing this craft. I find it very fun and therapeutic. I just had a stroke so the only thing I can do is junk journaling. One of my followers on Facebook told me about you Mary Paetz. You have helped me so much in the way you organize and create. I have only done two junk journals but they were fun and sold ASAP. You have been a huge inspiration to me. I am living with my daughter now and I can’t get organized yet. Need all new shelves and L-Shape desk that I had to leave in Galveston. I get so frustrated because of the stroke but I am back to doing lives and I have followers on Facebook that I have sent your way because you simplify it so well in laymen’s terms. You are my go to gal. Thank you so much for all you e taught me. I always look forward to your videos

Since the collage is literally using everything and anything at random inking should be done after the collage is finished. This way you create a more harmonious color palette by using a single color to go over the entire thing. This type of collage can also be lightly gessoed or painted. You could also use your sewing machine and the color of the thread can act as the unifying element. Check out Melanie Sullivan’s last video on how she used her scraps. That lady is a genius. Thank you Gayle for giving me yet another inspiration for all the bags of scraps I have just put into my cabinet.

Love this! I watched Rachel and Carol work on theirs the other day and yes, busted out those scraps! Very addictive! My husband has many rolls of masking paper so I have been using that for the backs but I love your idea!
