I had fun hanging out with you today watching you do Scrapping Saturday. You gave me ideas on some magazines I have around the home that are free like “SimplyKC” and “Kansas City Homes & Style” their pages have that same weight and feel as the magazines you’re working with. So that’s a plus~ I can rip out the pages of interest, and use the other pages for collaging. You got me excited to start some collage books today for making master boards for future tags, tucks, and pockets. Thank you for all you show and share with us. I really love your personality, creativity and passion for arts and crafting.
I have never been able to find a way to "wrangle" my stuffs together cohesively. I've watched you do this kind of thing umpteen times, BUT! Today it made sense! I have exactly the same Medicare book! You are truly brilliant! Thanks for shining a bit of your light on we humble crafters!
You are humorous today. My husband can hear some of your comments from the kitchen and we are chuckling. Hopefully no coal in your stocking. "I don't have time to die" from the sneeze. "I feel like I've been sitting all day...because I have." I've known about stand up comedians but you may just be a sit down comedian. He he.

I love the first masterboard with the red tissue. Once it is cut up I think it will make beautiful ephemera bases. Thank you for keeping me entertained while my arms were kept busy cradling my baby girl (cat). 😻
I love to collage. It's very relaxing and can get the juices flowing when your creativity is dull. My favorite from today is the neutral one!

Good evening, Gayle! Happy Saturday! It's always fun to see what you come up from leftovers. Kind of like getting in the fridge and making up a unique dish from the week's dinner leftovers. Just never know what you'll get, but it's often really good! 😊 My favorites are the neutrals. Dont know why, but really like those.
On Monday, my hubby and I are taking the trailer down into VA for the Thanksgiving week. Going to where I spent some of my years growing up on one of the military bases in Norfolk. I was born there, left, went back at 3 to 5, left again, then back at 8 until 13. Its a big part of who I am and so many good memories from this time of year, too. My Dad was a musician with the Navy band, so there was a whole lot of entertaining events I went to. My favorite memory is being on the back of a truck with some of the band members with my Dad to go Christmas Caroling in the housing area. It was always fun! So, it will be fun to see how things are since I lived in that area at the end of the 60s, beginning 70s. To show my husband places I grew up. We'll be visiting my youngest brother's godmother and daughter whom I haven't seen since that time, too. So very excited for the reunion. We'll also do a fun trip to Colonial Williamsburg to see the beautiful, unique wreathes they make for this time of year. I've been before with photography friends when I lived in mid-VA 12 years ago. It is amazing the craftsmanship put into making them using fresh fruits, a variety of greenery, and other unique items. Such a great place to visit. I've always loved it.

I can understand your husband doing the shoveling. It’s satisfying to see a clean drive, done by my hand. But I have a shortish drive. At this point, unless the snow is light (only a couple of inches) and followed by a warmish day (above 30), which we have in Kansas, I have a college student do my shoveling.

Yes, please hire Mike's shovel replacement, I heard on GMA yesterday that there were a couple of cardiac fatalities shoveling in this NY thunder snow storm. perhaps you could give it to him as a Christmas gift so he can't refuse.
Shorthand: I still use "of the" and "between" and "in" and a few others all the time 😏

Hi and hugs! Get a snow removal person. You always hear stories about people dropping dead shoveling snow. I don’t know what snow removal costs because I don’t have snow where I live but I’m sure just selling one journal would take care of it. Get all that stuff you plan on listing on Etsy listed and tell Mike you’ll pay for it. I totally agree with being ready to put Christmas away. That’s why I hardly even decorate the house anymore, by the time Christmas came I was ready to put it away. I’ve been known to take the tree down on Christmas night. I don’t even have a tree anymore I just put up a few decorations, nobody sees it anyway. Finishing up my last Christmas journal, hopefully today and then I can put it away and get back to normal life.

We’re the opposite. We pay for lawn getting mowed and snow getting plowed. We’re very similar in age. I’ve been telling him lately that I need someone to vacuum and mop but it’s not happening very quickly😂😂 🤗🦋💕

We should be heading into our Summer here in Australia, except we are dealing with floods and rain and quite cold weather for this time of year. We are very fortunate that our house did not flood, but so many others did in our area it is just devastating

Growing up , my mom would write out her Christmas shopping list in short hand so my sister and I couldn’t read it.
I like both of the Christmas master boards. The first one is different from what you might normally do but it is bright and cheerful with the red. I bet that once you it into tags or journal cards you will enjoy them more and with a little bit of decoration they will sparkle.

I got an advertisement magazine in the mail this week. Yep it went in my pile of “save to use” things. 🤣 Thanks to you I now have all my Christmas pages and related things in one tote. Makes it so much easier to grab & start creating. We are just very cold here in Nebraska, not enough snow to matter. Sure wish New York state could share theirs with dryer areas! Have a blessed day!

My daughter-in-law does the same with sending me Amazon links for the older grandchildren’s Christmas gifts. It makes it so much easier. And they always love their gifts. Absolutely love the Florentine papers. I was able to purchase some from Rachael, but I want to hoard it! I have watched Enola Holmes 1 and 2 and enjoyed them. God bless you❤️

Love this! What do you all do after you've collaged and you have bits that lift off the substrate page? Is it better to use mod podge? I have wonderful master boards that I always need to "fix" before I can really use them. Maybe I just need to be more generous with the glue stick?

I’d say be more generous with the glue stick and use a good brand. I have pages I glued five years ago in my glue book that are still stuck using my Uhu glue. Hi Gayle, I love the Enola Holmes movies too. Have you watched the Extraordinary Attorney Woo? It is a series about an autistic woman who is brilliant and becomes an attorney. Don't know who the actress is, but she is a cutie. I binged the whole series in one weekend. I looked at the price of Florentine paper, wow, kind of like rice paper. Is there a good place to get a mix of designs in one spot? Stay warm. Hugs from Texas
My only suggestion is to search on Etsy. There are quite a few sellers. Many are in Europe, so postage is high. 🥴❤️
