Fabric and paper snippet roll! Fabulous! I don't recall watching anyone else make this type of roll. So fun and I love ephemera made ahead of time. x

I like those spools. I put mine on thread spools and my husband cuts wood dowels for me and I put wood circles on the bottom of them. Love making snippet rolls. They do come in so handy.

Absolutely loved the Tracy Fox printed on fabric. Asked you how it was done and bingo you explained. Sometimes I think you must hear us in the background. As usual you left me inspired to follow your example and do a snippet roll, you leave me with so much to try I’ll never get bored. Thank you 💐

Fabulous Rachel. It’s taken me two days to watch your gorgeous demonstration - too much going on here. But, I’ve made four preliminary strips which need further embellishments. Great success. I am ecstatic. You need a medal.

Super cool Snippet strips, Rachel! I would clip them onto a wire clothes hanger with wooden clothes pins. Put where you can see them and get to them easily...they can decorate your room before they decorate your pages!

Lovely snippet roll. I never thought of making it in a roll, always just made them in little strips. Thank you for sharing, I stored them by putting a large safety pin in the top and hung them on a ring. Keeps them straight and pretty hanging in my craft room. When I snip part if there is some left I repin and hang them again.

Great snippets. I'm a quilter too and I sew scraps of fabric to adding matching tape. I bet it would work with paper scrapes also. It would be easier to roll up. The spool would just get bigger.

These can be wrapped around pieces of pool noodles, too, and be attached with straight pins. I use pool noodles to store unfinished quilts/wall hangings, binding, wide laces, and fabrics strips. It’s an inexpensive, lightweight and easy-to-use option.

I just sat here and ate a big cup of ice cream and watched this for the second time just mesmerized
Love the pieces of material my favorite. Yes mother going for a water break and grab a sweater. I’m cold. .
Oh need to tell ya what I did with mine
Hung the snipits on a hanger with clothes pins so i could just look up and see what was there
Maybe a help to someone who has a place
I hang a lot of paper like that so I can see it from my desk. Gives me lots of Ideas at a glance.
    You what I mean ?

For storage how about attaching one end of each strip to a large book ring and hanging on the wall from a nail or tall shelf? You could either punch a hole in the end of the strips or attach a bulb or safety pin and then put the pin on the book ring. 🤗

Beautifully done (as usual)! I notice that they are oriented vertically so would be used in that position on a page, particularly as images were used. What about making some horizontally - to be used across a page rather than up and down? Just a thought.

I know you mentioned sewing and textiles are a fav of yours, do you like slow stitching? I just took book out of library on slow stitching....LoVe it! Going to try it and then incorporate some of that in journals as well.
