I look forward to your art every day! You are just so full of joy in what you do and you are spreading that joy to this art community! Thank you so much for being here and sharing with us.
I love your laugh, especially when you get excited and go RARR!! You are absolutely right, if they don’t like something about your videos - they’re not your tribe. Bye, Felicia. Bless their hearts!
What a fun project with such yummy colors! You spark joy Denise and not just art related joy! You lift up my spirits and make my whole day better. Your freedom of expression both creatively and personally has really inspired me. I love your process, your diverse choice of art supplies and your adventurous spirit. There is truly nothing that I don’t enjoy when it comes from you girl! You are pretty awesome. Keep up the amazing work…….we are all better for it!
It’s like Christmas when I open YT and there you are! In all your creative goodness and joy you make me smile as I watch and listen to you create! Keep the videos coming, you/they are loved!
I love the little squares! Using different techniques helps you see if you love one more than the other to turn it into a larger project!! Thank you for your creative inspirations!
Confession...i sometimes feel like i can't make it to the end of your creative process. But, thankfully, i always do. You make something exciting out of what, to me, is not much to look at. But that's what you are teaching me... just keep adding layers, and layers. I'm not very good at that yet, but I SO appreciate your trying to show me how. Thank you!!
HEEHEEHEE 😂, My favorite. These are colors that i wouldn't have put together either. But boy the combo of art supplies to make the most creative tiny pieces of art. Wow wow wow. ❤
Denise, this video ROCKED ❤ Your cards are phenominal and your enthusiasm is beyond infectious! You make it look so easy, your art comes out fantastic and you are such a joy! TFS all your creative ideas and the tip about using your opposite hand to free draw lines, etc on your paper before adding the paint. A very good point! ❤ xo Barbie
All of the above! Teaching, learning, selling my art… That is what makes it fun! You put it in a way that I haven’t been able to. I thought I either had to be making art for fun, or doing it as a profession. Well, doing it professionally is what makes it fun for me! Thank you so much seems like such an obvious thing, but it was very insightful for me when you said this :-) I just came across your channel yesterday. Been really enjoying your energy and your style, abstract art is More meditational and a type of letting go from my usual technical problem-solving way of working in art. I get a lot out of watching you have fun! ❤️
Love love watching your clips! You know..if you use the numbers stencil from the other side you get the same effect of the scribble writing..it no longer resembles numbers. It becomes less recognisable to our brains.😊
Go with the flow and trust the process. It's definitely a lesson I have to practice. Before you pulled the tape, I thought it was a crazy hot mess. Then you pulled the tape, and I was like OK that looks better. But cut, they are gorgeous. I don't know if I would have kept going to the end on my own. Each time I see you push what I think is done, I get a tiny bit braver. Thank you for following your passion for teaching.
I’ve been “riding the art wave” all week. Just doodle with paint and then doodle different textures with a black pen. I love it. BTW, I’m the one that asked if you were ambidextrous.
This would be really cool with some copper metallic ink with your dip pen. So yummy! Another use could be if you were creating a card deck, could scan the images to upload to a card printer.
I’ve learnt so much from you! What you said about purpose just set me on fire. I’ve come back to this video after spending hours in my studio painting what my autistic brain feels like to me. I realise my creativity is about connecting my insides with the external world so I can teach others what it feels like to be so different. I do most of this through my writing. Last week I had this 💡 moment where I realised that this information I found is what ‘a decade ago me needed’ so I could recover from my mental health struggles. I have a purpose in getting this information out there for others. But watching your video today, I realised that this counts for my art work too and I had a little joyful leak out of my eyes. I knew I created to express and process my emotions but if I can teach someone else how to do that too then, that, would be truly incredible!
Another great time/video🎉 @14:02 😮 loveee the numbers stencil how it turned out 21:40 thx for tip on brushes and paint types. I wondered on it. 22:40 fantastic idea using Yupo paper to make stencils 😱 26:00 i love the idea of art prompts and the skillshare tutorial would be good to take. It def was fun to just pick some and start painting away. 😊 @29:12 i realized you could cut like this and frame a 3 pieces in one artvpiece. 🤯
This is super. Thanks so much for all you share with us, I watch every one. You make me smile with you, when you get excited. I'd love to see you use some pieces in a collage - would you consider doing that sometime too please?
Thank you! ☺️ I have several collage classes on Skillshare, I just haven’t been inspired to do any lately. This channel is new… so you’ll definitely see me go through art phases! 😊
I’m like you in that I really need a reason/purpose for creating something. The only exception to that for me, so far, has been gelli printing - I can just make and pull prints for hours without any purpose other than ‘playing.’
I always look forward to your videos! I find them so calming and relaxing. I watch them before I go to bed. 😊 I like that you can't predict what the finished piece is going to look like. I love seeing the whole process. 💖
You are so inspiring! Love how you taped the paper and created one large piece of ART with 12 visually gorgeous areas or can cut into smaller works of ART! I'm loving your videos!! Thank you!
You make creating your beautiful art look so easy. Feeling inspired, for my first attempt at art, I tried to mimic this project and it turned out just awful. I am not giving up, though. The good news is that I can only get better. Lol. At least I sure hope so!! I still had a great time. Thank you for your positivity. You are a fun, bright part of my day.
I also love just experimenting, I have so many bits created over the years, in fabric too, actually doing the whole picture is not as much fun........if i do complete something, my daughter has it out of the door and into her home before I can find it missing...:):):):)xx
I loved this color grouping! Makes sense since I have an orange sectional and a teal recliner! The very last one was my very fave…going to play today! As always thanks for the inspiration! So many !!! ❤
So far I'm preferring the color cards you have pulled from cube 2. I was hoping you had a dark blue posca pen to make some dots in the orange! I LOVED how the piece looked without even being cut up - and I thought I might tie them together with some linen embroidery thread to make more marks. How inspiring!
Love these tutorials. I especially like more individual ones bc it creates more possibilities! If you framed these to give away or sell, how would you seal them? Thx.
Thank you! ☺️ Really depends on what I use on the paper as to if I finish it with spray. If it has soft pastels or oil pastels - then I use the Sennelier fixative for pastels. Otherwise, you have issues with the pastels (soft pastels shed and oil pastels tend to never really dry). If I don't use anything like that - I don't usually use a finish spray. I store them in clear art sleeves or frame them. You can use the Krylon artist sprays if you want a good one. Gamvar is good for oil paintings. I'll do a finish video soon showing the options I use.
Sometimes I do gather interesting things to paint with. I've done some Skillshare classes on making your own things with stuff you find in nature... I haven't done it on any of the youtube videos yet. We'll get there. 😊
Hi Denise!!! I'm subscribed and I love all your videos You have such great ideas for inspiration!❤ btw: it's pronounced punch- a- nella & Paw-ska pens. 😘😁❤️
New to your art videos and avidly watching all of your demos and I have a question to ask; What would you recommend purchasing first, the Colour Cubes or the Kuretake watercolours? I can’t stretch to both at once. TIA x
If I had to choose - I go for the watercolors. There are plenty of color palettes online you can use if you want to do some color challenges like I’ve been doing. I have hundreds saved on Pinterest - just search ‘color palettes’ on there and save the ones you love. I have a video coming up using an online paletteS. 😊
Thank you. I never thought of doing a search. Although I do like the idea of having a colour box to “dip” into. Eagerly awaiting your palette video now 😊
No, I don’t sell the art. Since I make videos and classes I usually need them later for photos, samples, etc. some are framed and hanging in my house. 😊
I look forward to your art every day! You are just so full of joy in what you do and you are spreading that joy to this art community! Thank you so much for being here and sharing with us.

What type of substrate did u use for these beauties? Fun fun fun
I used Stonehenge 100% cotton watercolor paper.. I link the materials under the video for you in the description! 😊
How are you making pigma and Posca pens work over acrylic? I ruined several of mine that way.😢
No idea? I just go for it.

Do you sell your paintings?
No, I don’t sell the art. Since I make videos and classes I usually need them later for photos, samples, etc. some are framed and hanging in my house. 😊
My need to follow the prompts would not allow me to get away with missing colours/lines on any of the pieces 😅
