Reminds me of several concerts with them in the 90's... no phones, no cameras, pure music, joy and interaction. Damn I miss those days. Konge band!

No Fuel left for The Pilgrims is an amazing album, big fan from the UK. These guys should have been way bigger
DAD is like our national band.. they've been going strong for over 30 years and still do concerts.. they're amazing, and heard them so many times 😀

I'm a dane, from Denmark same as this band. I am 40 yrs old and grew up listening to them. I know all their lyrics by heart!

I saw them live two weeks ago on Copenhell festival. Same stage as Metallica, Iron Maiden, Judas Pries and Kiss. Well deserved!
They were called "Disneyland after Dark" originally. Named after the 1962 movie of the same name, so Disney really didn't have a leg to stand on had it gone to court but Disney has deep pockets and the laywers of the band advised them to reach a settlement or Disney could bog their career down for years with cease and desist orders.
Bonus info. I was at their first big stage concert at Roskilde Festival in 1986. They'd only played small clubs before that and had not yet released their debut album. Metallica played the same year, and day in fact.
My dad saw them sometime in the 80s, probably Roskilde in the dirt; when they were still Disneyland After Dark...

DAD started out as Disneyland after dark, but Disney didn't like the name so it was abbreviated to DAD.
And the bass player only has two strings on his bass since he can't see the use of more than two.

In denmark, this is a rock band all go have a good time listen to, drink some beers and stuff, its proberly the most used rock/metal band in Denmark for festivals and stuff, they been around a while..
Now worldwide Volbeat is proberly a more know, rock/metal band from Denmark than D:A;D these days..
But yeah D.A.D is go have a blast with rest of Denmark, kind of thing..
One of the more unique bands out there. Stig Pedersen plays a 2, yes, 2 string bass. But it works because Jacob Binzer plays so much of his guitar in a lower register. This is off of No Fuel Left for the Pilgrims. Other great songs on that CD are Jihad and Point of View. Grow or Pay is another great song from their CD Riskin it All.

I never heard this much of the solo! it seem like a reenactment of a clockwork orange ! honestly I never thought of DAD as a progressive band!
Bass player Stig Pedersen plays different Basses designed by himself. Always with only two strings 😎
Fun fact: D-A-D was actually called Disneyland After Dark, but the Mighty Mouse and his gang of attornies threatened with a lawsuit if they didn't change their band name. :)
Fun Fact they only got threaten Disneyland, when they started having concerts in the USA, but they tried to break through in the US at the time Nirvana hit the scene and it was all about grunge, so they went back to Europe and still kicks ass here.
