Silverflame, one of my favourite songs of all time, with one of the best guitar solos (in my opinion), and one of the most captivating and haunting lines of all time: "Girl in a glass-box dressed in white, happy enough to commit suicide" Here's some history behind the song: The song was written by the vocalist and guitarist Tim Christensen in his childhood bedroom in 1993, when he was 18 years old (all of the band member are childhood friends who started playing together in 1988). The song is build up around the musical themes of the melody. The lyrics themselves don't actually tell a story. It's more so to paint a picture in your mind using words. The lyrics of the first verse "Girl in a glass-box dressed in white" is something Tim dreamt, and subsequently wrote down. So the song is not actually about drugs, even though a lot of people read into it that way. But the song is also not about anything in particular, so you're meant to paint your own mental image. The lyrics have whatever meaning you apply to them. Like staring at a painting, trying to analyse it. Which I think is uniquely beautiful. If there's anything else you wish to know about Dizzy Mizz Lizzy, or any other danish bands, don't hesitate to ask.❤
Love Dizzy Mizz Lizzy - Tim Christensen the leadsinger/guitarist didn't want to be a singer from the beginning - lucky for us he couldn't persuade any of the other band members to do it. The lyrics to the first verse came to Tim from a dream he had and he describes it more as a painting - it's more about the rhymes than actual meaning of the words in this song. The song was written in 1993 when Tim was 19 years old. Other great songs by Dizzy Mizz Lizzy: "Waterline", "Love is a Loser's Game", "Barbedwired Baby's Dream". Tim writes some amazing songs. One of his songs from his solo career was a big hit here in Denmark as the theme song in a tv-series and has even been covered by Celine Dion: "Right next to the right one". By the way - if you want more views remember to put a Danish music tag on the video (Danes love reactions to our culture ;-) )
Tim Christensen started the band at the age of 16 😇 This song was written when they were 18 🧐😊🥰 Tim had been playing the guitar since he was 6 years 🤩 Just listened to a podcast on Silverflame, Tim said that the lyrics were based on a Dream and he was not awair of any drug connection 🇩🇰 Love from Denmark as was Dizzy Mizz Lizzy By the way their first two albums were big in Japan, still great music 🎉❤🎸🥁🎹
"Silverflame" is really not about drugs. It is about a dream that the lead singer had. He has stated on several occasions that the title and the lyrics are nonsense. In fact, the songs on their first two albums were almost all nonsense. It was all about the music back then. The singing was merely another instrument to complete the sound.
grow up listening to this legend of a singer songwriter. Danish bands in the 90's were the best ^^ also kashmir another danish band from the 90's. is very great music. D.A.d as well. music today is just not the same!. people use way to much audio-tune
Im from the Home country of “dizzy mizz lizzy” and i would just like to correct you on your pronouniation. Its pronounced “glizzy mizz lizzy” and its spelled dizzy mizz lizzy because the labels thought glizzy mizz lizzy was stupid
