Fun fact: The featured singer Johan Gotthardt Olsen (lead singer of the Danish rock band Magtens Korridorer) is also an assistant professor and researcher at Department of Biology, University of Copenhagen. He holds a PhD in macromolecular crystallography and biochemistry.
Not often you see a rock star with an active academic career like that.

This song is so beloved in Denmark. In 2020, I performed a romantic (classical) version of this song, at a wedding. Not many rock-songs can be considered appropriate for a wedding, but this one had everyone at the wedding crying happy tears. It's an amazing song.

For Evigt” is Danish for forever or eternally.
The song features Johan Olsen as the guest artist, the singer from Magtens Korridorer, a Danish rock band.
There is a version with an English chorus, called “The Bliss”.
On the international version of the album, “For Evigt” and “The Bliss” have their track positions swapped.
“For Evigt” is a song about remembering the good things in life and celebrating it. ‘Cause nobody knows if it’s going to last forever. It’s great to be working with Johan again - I think we work well together.

Banjo artist is Rod Sinclair Scot Living in Denmark, female Singer is Mia Maja who have done a bit of work with Volbeat but not that famous for her own music, Telia Parken is the Danish National Stadium in Copenhagen where most big stadium bands would play in Denmark, and something a lot of Danish bands aspire to be able to fill out, Volbeat has had a few tours where they played after Telia Parken.
The Danish bit : For evigt, måske for evigt
    Ska' vi sammen samme vej
Og når i morgen får øjne, og natten hviler sig
Ska' vi for evigt måske samme vej
Rough Translation: For Ever, maybe for ever,
Will we together go the same way,
And when tomorrow open its eyes, and the night rests,
Will we forever go the same way.
It definitely is an anthem, the second largest sport in Denmark, Handball, have more or less adopted this anthem to say that the fans, especially of the male and female national teams, sing this chorus during games to show the team unwavering support. In fact just yesterday during Denmark world championship game against Chile you could hear the crowd singing this chorus and the stadium speaker thanking the crowd for the song.
Personally for me the song is about the rocky road a relationship can be on, and the singer stating how all of those memories in spite of the problems still make him wish that the relationship will last forever.

Johan is a force of nature and always brings something extra to the party (around 12:30 in this video you can hear Michael Poulsen say "I don't know if I dare" because he knows the second he starts on the chorus, Johan will clear the stage with his sonic waves).

As fare as danish metal rock bands goes, i would recommend: "Magtens Korridorer" (Another band with Johan Olsen on vocals) "Sort Sol", "Dizzy Mizz Lizzy" and DAD"

They toured all through America, and was lucky to catch them. They have a few styles, American influenced, and not caught up on one standard sound, spanning a couple decades. They have a few singers (and instrument players), that rotate for a variety of songs. Lead guitarist is an American, and from a popular heavy rock group. Hopefully you react to more, and figure out who he is. Nice Liliac reference too!

Saw them live in February. They are probably one of the best bands live I've ever seen. They were the headliner for this Telia Parken concert and sold out a nearly 50,000 capacity venue. They have so many great songs and every individual is at the top of their game for the instrument (or vocals and instrument) they play but you never see egos. Love them. Oh, by the way, the stalker looking dude is Johan, Volbeat's lead singer is Michael Poulsen who has a very unique sound himself. Michael, Jon, the drummer, Rob the lead guitarist (used to play with Anthrax) and Kasper the bass player are the only actual band members. Everyone else are guest appearances. I don't remember if it was this concert or another but Lars from Metallica actually played a couple of songs with them live.

Hey man your reaction was very similar to mine when I first heard Volbeat. 😁 Got to say though it's nice to see you in good spirits considering all that has happened this last few weeks.
And speaking of that, would you consider reacting to Breaking Benjamin's I Will Not Bow? Kinda one of my favorites when things go poorly and helps me soldier on.

Man, this is the perfect song to get introduced to Volbeat! Now if you could react to Lola Montez, The devil's Bleeding crown or Fallen will be amazing!

Johan Olsen who is featured in this song, is the lead singer of another danish band called Magtens Korridorer (corridors of Power) which primarily sings in danish (as he does in this clip)

Hey man! Just found your channel recently and already love it. I gathered from some of your videos that you rather like yourself some bass playing. Therefore I see it as my duty to recommend Royal Blood. It's a two man-band, bass and drums. Sounds a bit minimalistic, but I can promise you a unqiue sound. "Figure it Out" or "Out of the Black" are good starting songs. Preferably live versions, so that you can actually believe what's happening. Keep up the great entertainment!

Ur so right about this song , and nothing brings ppl more together in DK , than this song playing , man everyone is screaming their lungs out lol ! But this danish band is so much more , ( and differrent ) And Volbeat were also well established as icons already here , before this song came out, ( but i get what U mean ) And ur right ,an anthem song , dont think theres a danish person , who doesnt know this song

I totally agree with you that Volbeat follow the standard Feelgood rock anthem, with a hard rock beat. And their songs are damn good. My little trouble with listening to Volbeat is that they get a bit repetitive. Check out "A Warriors Call" - which is a great song by all means - and you'll see.
As for pronounving "Evigt" you can try the english word evict, but say it kind of slow and with focus on first syllable :)

    It is a Danish band.
Johan sings in Danish and he is officially in the song and has sung in other songs with volbeat. He is the lead singer in another Danish band called the Magtens korridorer.
and it's not a festival but a stadium concert with volbeat.
