These are seriously awesome phones, I was able to get a 2023 Razr+ for like 70 percent off because of these new models coming out in a couple weeks. The cover display is really cool. It's actually the same size of an original iPhone. I hardly ever use the internal oled display when out in public.
I have the RAZR 40 ultra, and I'm really disappointed in Motorola. It's still running android 13 with no sign of new OS updates. I would not recommend getting the 50 ultra, as the same will most likely occur with it only rolling out with android 14, and not being updated to android 15.
Sounds like the Minuum keyboard would be ideal for the cover screen. I've used that keyboard on all my phones, because I detest keyboards gobbling up too much screen real estate.
I got the flip 6... kind of thinking the razar would have been better. One thing I don't like is both phones cameras get in the way when the phone is closed. They should be on the other (bottom) half of the phone, with the cover display taking the entire top half the phone. The cover display could have a small selfie camera, but nothing too large.
Just a suggestion add some looped animation or may be just a lock screen behind you in the Montor, In the starting I though there is someone else sitting and using some other phone which is odd to look at.
If I was Motorola, what I'd do is I would move large camera to the back and incorporate undefr the screen or smaller selfie cam on front. This way I can use whole lottta more features while folded and wpuld have full front screeen available without large camera holes. I'm sure this is where their design will be going towards but let me tell you that whichever manufacturer does it first, will be ahead of game in foldable phones field.
General GOLDEN RULE for Smartphones Perfect phone for you would be what are the compromises you are ok to make and what not The fact is there are pros and cons of every phone If you want a flip phone with better performance samsung is still better If you want a bigger screen and you prefer razr style go for it
Hi I looked at the Motorola ultra when I was changing my flip 3 and my choice ended up between flip 5 which I purchased or the opposite flip brilliant crease finish. The 40 felt like a plastic toy compared with the other 2 . I hope the 40 has corrected this and become a true competitor.
Will this be let down by the really poor Motorola update policy?.. My Razr 40 Ultra is still on Android 13, and there are only bimonthly security updates.
I have both the the flip 5 and razr from last year and I love the flips camera and built quality more . I wish my Samsung watch would work better with the Motorola, this would be the only way for me to switch to motorola. And if they had a better camera
I am thinking of buying the razr 50 ultra but I do have samsung watch which I really enjoy, the phone I have rn is a OnePlus. What are your issues with the watch and motorola phone?
@fenn5390 that all the samsung AI features don't work on the Motorola. I recently downloaded the beta 6.0 and my watch always disconnects from the phone.
@fenn5390 even before the beat software update , I was not able to get as much details as I normally get from when you sync the watch to a samsung phone
Lately Motorola is producing great products, the only drawback is that they dont give as much os and system updates to their budget phones like samsung. If they give atleast 5years of updates in their budget phones as well then Motorola will be the better product, imo.
This guy is way off base. The Samsung has superior build quality, better gorilla glass, better moisture/dust resistance, and enhanced Aluminium shell (yes Aluminium is a real term for the metal used in both products). Its a better product than the Moto imo for quality that matters most. I have the Flip4 and its been great but I always upgrade every other release cycle. Just ordered the Flip6 today through Verizon. Got a $400 trade-in for my Flip4 (if you order directly through Samsung they have a $500 trade-in value for the 4). I ordered from Verizon just for convenience. They are also offering a free upgrade to 512gb vs the standard 256gb. I'm looking forward to it primarily 3 reasons. First is the new lens upgrade. Photos and videos from the Flip4 are disappointing, especially since Samsung is known for its superior lens technology. In addition, the new AI capabilities (which were not even mentioned in this video) are outstanding. I'm heading to Europe in a few weeks and look forward to using the new language AI capabilities. Another important feature that was not covered in this video: the vapor chamber for heat diffusion. It doesn't sound like a big deal but it is. The Flip4 gets VERY hot when connecting to bluetooth devices and Android Auto. The vapor chamber is designed to disperse the heat. All in all a very nice upgrade to an already great product with superior build quality.

Dark title, there! (...I read it as "Z Flip's dead-baby")
commas matter! 😀
Samsung flip killer.
This Moto is so much sexier than Samsung's flip.
Uncle spurt help there are pornbots in your comments
they're looking for the spurt 😔
Don't tell him that, he'll never get any work done! 😂
Lmao.
uncle spurt is about to go uncle mode
He should thank you for this comment
Sounds like the Minuum keyboard would be ideal for the cover screen. I've used that keyboard on all my phones, because I detest keyboards gobbling up too much screen real estate.
Your selfie on this RAZR looks very nice to me
The standard Razr 50 next please
I loved the 2023 razr plus, the only issue with that was the mediocre battery life so this could be perfect
Nice video. I’ll stick with my iPhone 15 Pro Max though. Roll on September 😊
Just a suggestion add some looped animation or may be just a lock screen behind you in the Montor, In the starting I though there is someone else sitting and using some other phone which is odd to look at.
But how good is it in comparison to the z flip remains to be seen.
Remember the flip is $1800. So it better be a damn sight better for all those clams!
@@darlenepaul2918In wat country is it that much? I can get it for 1150
If I was Motorola, what I'd do is I would move large camera to the back and incorporate undefr the screen or smaller selfie cam on front.
This way I can use whole lottta more features while folded and wpuld have full front screeen available without large camera holes.
I'm sure this is where their design will be going towards but let me tell you that whichever manufacturer does it first, will be ahead of game in foldable phones field.
General GOLDEN RULE for Smartphones
Perfect phone for you would be what are the compromises you are ok to make and what not
The fact is there are pros and cons of every phone
If you want a flip phone with better performance samsung is still better
If you want a bigger screen and you prefer razr style go for it
Hey yo would you swap with oneplus 12?
Luv your accent ❤
These cameras look pretty decent. Are they better than flip 5??
Spotted Periphery!!! Good taste
Looks very decent, and at a competitive price. Always like stock Android. Software updates from Motorola always seem a bit iffy though
all phones should have a back screen like this and get rid of the selfie camera
I had the razer model that came out last year. I did enjoy the phone. Just wished the cameras were better.
I can’t sacrifice camera quality 😣😣 i want one but waiting until they up the tech on these
@@brandonwilson7579 Same. Still a slave to Pixel and their giant-ass phones until then.
How come there are no videos about the Moto Razr 50, the non ultra, with the dimensity 7300X?
what about the 50 (non plus)?
I don't get why they don't put the cameras on the back instead of taking up a lot of the space on the small screen on front.
How would you hold it?
@@bradye21playsIndieHorror with your hand.
@@badfoot Yeah, and you would cover the cameras with your hand.
@@seethisth4753if the cameras were in same place on back. Then when open the small screen would be at bottom of phone as opposed to top.
Put the camera in same place on the back, so when it's open the small screen would be at bottom half and cameras up top half.
Hey chris, did you not get the moto razr 50? I wanted a review of the dimensity 7300X.
Will this be let down by the really poor Motorola update policy?.. My Razr 40 Ultra is still on Android 13, and there are only bimonthly security updates.
Just updated mine to android 14 yesterday
13:25 i can relate brother 😆
Is it fine for 3 years android update or upgrade? Or it may be extended?
I have both the the flip 5 and razr from last year and I love the flips camera and built quality more . I wish my Samsung watch would work better with the Motorola, this would be the only way for me to switch to motorola. And if they had a better camera
‼️‼️‼️ i need the best i feel like that’s apples biggest selling point i wish Motorola cared about being the best
Any low light photography shots?
How does the phone operate? Most moto phones are weird and hard to use especially if you never use one
Lately Motorola is producing great products, the only drawback is that they dont give as much os and system updates to their budget phones like samsung. If they give atleast 5years of updates in their budget phones as well then Motorola will be the better product, imo.
Call that magenta instead of hot pink
It’s the most nice mobile phone of this generation I love it
Does anyone know when the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro will be available in Europe?
Looks pretty great for the first time
This guy is way off base.
Hot pink in your face. The best one liner yet 😂
Is it dual sim? Any improvements in camera?
nanoSIM + eSIM
Does it have a real Always on Display function inside and outside display?
What’s that game that you always play?
Genshin impact
Motorola some apps and features are very convenient, but it's not too heavy also.
Was that a Bleach wallpaper I spotted? Pretty darn cool if so
