So then how would the z flip 6 compare to the razr? Plus, if this was such a close battle, does that mean that the razor plus definitely beats the z flip? 6
@@tiffanybluetarot well the phone in the video that is battling the z flip 6 is the Motorola razr 2024 as in the standard edition. Motorola makes a razor Plus variant which is about $300 more than the standard razor. So my question is in this video he basically says that for less money the standard razor can hold its own and go toe-toe with the z flip 6 so I would assume that that means that the more expensive razor Plus would annihilate the z flip 6
I think really the only 2 things Samsung's flip has over Motorola are the camera software, and the software updates. Motorola phones are a lot better then they used to be. They need to work on their updates and their camera software, they are so close.
Just got the Moto razr in the same color way on cricket on Friday and I got it on a carrier discount so out the door with the month of service in a case I paid $400 it's my first flipping phone I sold my fold 3 to help pay for it I think it's a great device.
Razr 50 wins easily against ZFlip6 - one is proper flip phone, the other is a slab phone that can bent in half. The real question here is how it stacks versus its "bigger" sibling - Razr 50 Ultra/+?!
The Razr wins hands down for me. Such an under rated phone. Got my Razr+ last month with no feeling of buyer's remorse. The last Samsung I own was the S22 Ultra full of bloatware that gave me anxiety. The user experience was frustrating and difficult to use. I had buyers remorse within a day but still gave it a chance for 6 months until I threw it against the wall. I'm a NEVER SAMSUNG ever again person.
if someone manages to have a samsung flip for more than 3 years then this alone is a miracle. It has nothing to say that it can be updated longer than a motorola. When you don't have a working screen after 1.5 years
At this point the only things that matter are durability and 7 years of updates, whether you're using a slab, flip, or foldable phone. Everything's fast enough and generative AI is not advanced enough. So, if a Flip is durable enough for 7 years of updates, it's the way to go since it's not twice as expensive as the Razr.
I do think, give the RAZR another iteration of this phone and it'll be close to surpassing the Flip. Just seems like a few things here and there that they need to fine tune.
To Z flip 6 because on the motot the audio sucks when on call ngl. People always have a hard time hearing me on it and also when I record videos it always sounds so low. Not sure if its just my carrier or not but I'm with Verizon and I never had a issue with them. So I switched to the Samsung z flip 6 and it seems like I gotten better audio on calls and videos.
I think Flip Phones are only just Starting to be a viable choice for the general Public and all the fine tuning in the last couple years wasnt good for early adopters but is good for general public 😊
I feel like people only say about updates on Moto, But I always feel like no one talks about software optimization. I had an A80 (with a pretty mediocre soc) and man the Ram management was fantastic, on the Motorolas I test (the last one was Edge 30 Fusion and Ultra), I always thought this was terrible, I always felt some lag here and there and the RAM management always let me down, several times switching from one app to get a code to type in another When I returned the original app was reloaded even with 8GB of RAM or more. I feel that Lenovo doesn't make the slightest effort in the software department, a shame because the phones are much more beautiful than the galaxies lines, the design is so bad on Samsung right now (A and S line is the same thing), The exception is the Z and Ultra lines. 😞

I'm not sure if the device comparisons its the right one. The Razr 2024 is more aptly compared to the Galaxy Z Flip 5, while the Razr 2024 Plus (also known as the Motorola Razr+ 2024) should be compared to the Samsung Flip 6. for the chipset (QUALCOMM) and screen display, memory. Motorola dis 2 models in 2024 (normal Razr 2024 using MediaTek chipset and the Razr+ using QUALCOMM). Of course in my case I'm a Samsung owner of a Note device, and I have all the Samsung ecosystem (Smartwatch, Buds) to don't loose the extra options only Samsung allow I will go for the Samsung Zip flip 6 (Even if the Motorola has maybe better design).
Sorry but the selfie photo was so much better on the Samsung. The razr cut out so much detail lost most of your stubble and it deaged you making it look terrible in comparison to the Samsung.

Hopefully not all brands keep following the Apple squared off "chonk" fashion first. Google's now down it. Most people case there phones (foldable not so sure). But the extreme chonk difference of say a Moto Edge 30 Ultra vs a 14 or 15pro max both in minimal cases makes the large screen Edge feel less chonk than a pro never mind a pro max
I wouldn't label a USB 2.0 port on the Razr an A+. At least it supports Smart Connect (formerly known as Ready For) unlike the Galaxy Z Flip which STILL doesn't support Samsung Dex.
Thank you! Your the only reviewer who's actually done a qualitative video quality between the two that shows the difference. Every other reviewer is saying the two phones have more or less the same shooting and video capabilities. Each phone has pros and cons, but as you can see in your video (because it's well done) that there is a huge amount of difference between the video recording on either phone. As someone who was on the fence, but really needs goof video recording, this is by far the most helpful review out there. Thank you!
When Apple do a folding phone, it's going to have their best cameras.. i don't understand why they are putting lesser cameras in these premium folding phones
What I hate is the feature compromises between both companies when compared to each other. Example: Galaxy Z Flip 6 doesn't support Samsung Dex 👎 but it has a USB 3.2 port 👍. Motorola Razr+ supports Smart Connect (formerly known as Ready For) 👍 but it only has a USB 2.0 port 👎. Compromises like that make me not want to buy either foldable phone at all.

Please compare Samsung flip 5, 6, Motorola razor 50 and 50+ it will really help us
One UI on the Razr design is the best mix
After putting a case one either one, they would be a tight fit in jeans pockets. Almost 7/8" thick. I wanted one of them.
I just bought the Razr 50 orange, for £470. I think that's pretty darn impressive.
I think really the only 2 things Samsung's flip has over Motorola are the camera software, and the software updates. Motorola phones are a lot better then they used to be. They need to work on their updates and their camera software, they are so close.
I just picked up the Razr plus 2023, brand new, from Best Buy, for $499.
Just got the Moto razr in the same color way on cricket on Friday and I got it on a carrier discount so out the door with the month of service in a case I paid $400 it's my first flipping phone I sold my fold 3 to help pay for it I think it's a great device.
Nope FLOP FLOP Sucks...lacks sooooo much
I got mine from cricket. It's my first flip also. I love the phone.
Motorola Razr 2024 but get a protective case for it.
I agree with one of your commenters. Why did you compare the flip 6 to the razr and not the razr Plus? That's an unfair comparison.
In the intro he says that the improvements in the base Razr is so significant that it’s worth doing a comparison.
@@anthonyt425 okay then, I don't agree
Razr 50 wins easily against ZFlip6 - one is proper flip phone, the other is a slab phone that can bent in half. The real question here is how it stacks versus its "bigger" sibling - Razr 50 Ultra/+?!
Samsung has gotten way too comfortable already.
I still cackle at the larger display being toted when you still have two large cameras that take up the screen
And the huge hinge area over the screen
User experience is priceless. I just got rid of a Motorola phone. I am pro samsaing so I won't comment further lol
Breaks easy all it takes is the right spot and the hinge blows out the screen 10 inch drop on rubber floor mats ! Crazy no phone breaks from that but razor does , buyer’s beware don’t get the razor
the moto gives a flexible and light easy to use feel and zflip looks heavy and rough just by looks
"Next up let's compare this $50,000 car to this $27,000 car. Who wins??"
😂
I know, right?
I'm disappointed in my Flip 6 because the display after a week is making nasty noises
That happened to my Fold 4 after six months, so I traded it.
Are pictures that big of a deal I like the Motorola over Samsung. They always pick the camera over the phone itself. They always go by the camera
Galaxies phones are overall good andriod phones compare to the rest.
Okay so we wanted a real comparison and you gave us the lower model to compare then said the real comparison is on the way here it is a month later and no flip 6 vs moto plus or 50 gesh come on smdh
I only wish a flip architecture phone fit my phone needs as well as Jamie's shmedium polo shirts fit him...
But alas, not to be
Razr + mops the floor with both of these phones.
Does android still come with pre installed app??? I hate how you can’t remove apps
Motorola has by far less than the Samsung. And you can usually uninstall them. Or at least disable them.
Sorry but the selfie photo was so much better on the Samsung. The razr cut out so much detail lost most of your stubble and it deaged you making it look terrible in comparison to the Samsung.
Actually i think the pictures look better on the moto side
Which crease is better
"Given it's still stuck on Android 13"
Then what Am I Using? Android 13.5?
Imhmyrvra bringing the great content
Chose with my wallet. Got the Razr 2024. $400 cheaper and a better battery is hard to beat..
Agreed 💯
Cricket wireless is selling the razr for about $240 out the door and that’s better than any deal I can get on the Samsung so I went with Motorola. So far it’s been great
Samsung Bezel Flip 4 needed dex and upgraded outer screen to justfy price. Moto razr+ is worth price on looks alone.
How can you not compare it with the plus version of Motorola?
PLS HELP! ... Google fi has the Razr for $349 (gray only) and the flip 6 in Silver Shadow or Blue for $600. (So far no sign of the Razr Plus.) Both models w 256gb. Which would you pick?
What did you end up getting?
@@anthonyt425 I'm sticking with my S22 Plus for now. I'll get the next version, prob the Razr. Hopefully Google fi will have the razr+ next time around 🤞
I have the razor 23' i have gotten black dots that turn into green/blue lines on the crease of the screen this has happened to me twice now.
Good to get your corroboration - only said to Michael F this afternoon that he sold me on the Razr+ so that will most likely be my first folder! Thanks for this comparison - Samsung pricing this year takes them out of contention.
ANY FOLDABLE is way too fragile way too overpriced and way too lacking...THE FLOP FLOPhas a cartoon stupid screen and shitty cameras
Since i had to pick only one, it was the Flip ... again
The Moto camera is really lacking.
This base model Razr isn't even comparable to last year's Razr 40 Ultra and Flip 5, so the Flip 6 🤷🏽♂️
Hardware wise both are A+, but when you factor in Motorola's incredibly lackluster OS Support, it's hard to go that route
I wouldn't label a USB 2.0 port on the Razr an A+.
At least it supports Smart Connect (formerly known as Ready For) unlike the Galaxy Z Flip which STILL doesn't support Samsung Dex.
@@PSYCHOV3N0M if you want Dex get a regular S24.
Motorola has poor software update support. Youll be lucky if you get 1 major Android OS update.
Screw samsung..motorola wins
You are def Motorola fanboy
When is Apple coming out with that ?!?! 2030? 2035 ?!
@jakey20022 my point is these companies hand it to Apple by not making complete designs.
Samsung is not exactly good either. my fold 6 is still on the june security release in september
Yeah but updates are rubbish on Motorola
Nooo moto skin tones look like 60s NBC Living Color
What I hate is the feature compromises between both companies when compared to each other.
Example:
Galaxy Z Flip 6 doesn't support Samsung Dex 👎 but it has a USB 3.2 port 👍.
Motorola Razr+ supports Smart Connect (formerly known as Ready For) 👍 but it only has a USB 2.0 port 👎.
Compromises like that make me not want to buy either foldable phone at all.
FLOP FLOPS Lack way too much shitty cameras way overpriced and way too fragile
Honestly the chin on the moto is one of the worst things ever lol
Flip has the elegance that RAZR has lost. I have the fold 4 and flip 6
I Haven't seen anyone keeping a smartphone for 7 years and most of my photos are for selling stuff online so I'll go with the Motorola.
THE FLOP FLOP Sucks
boring. can you compare against all the other brands like oppo, vivo, xiaomi, oneplus, honor foldable phones instead? no one gives a s h i t abt motorola even in USA, not to mention outside
The Chinese brands are the ones pushing things forward.
samsung paid you how much for that video?
It was sent to your bank account. You tell me
hahahahaha why why why 😮😂
The only problem with the Motorola Razr flip phones is durability.
Same with FLOP FLOP
