And the winner of the Porsche UK Classic restoration competition is...

Back in 2015, Porsche GB challenged all UK Porsche centres and recommended repairers to choose a Porsche model from the transaxle era and return it to its former glory. This is the story behind that competition - of how the teams discovered the cars and the passion and dedication they channelled into restoring them.

I bought a 944 in 1990 had it for 4 years and sold it. Bought it back in 2006 and still have it today. It still has the same smell of leather as when I first owned it.

I had a 1979 924 with M/471 suspension and I LOVED driving that car. After that was a 1984 944 and it was beautiful to drive as well. I miss my transaxle Porsches and one day when I have the time and the space I will get another.
