    It will not takeover hand held gaming but yes Its very exciting. Handheld devices has a comfort in the hands and whatever else make it a handheld but this is game changing but I do not think it's going to take over handheld gaming but I am asking myself how powerful it's going to be vs the Asus ROG ally specs and power

    If you're up too date with the Emulator scene, you'll know Android can already play AAA games quite well, ie majority of the switch games library.

    I doubt it'll catch on unless there will be physical controls on a future device. I do hope this brings in competition and there are devices like the Xperia Play again...

    My only real concern is that most of these AAA mobile games coming up will be tied to Apple Arcade, which sucks because one of the stipulations behind ApAr publishing is that it needs to be Apple exclusive on mobile which means no android release, which is where all of the dedicated gaming phones and most mobile gaming peripherals are.
    For that reason alone I don't see this working out, which SUCKS because I have been screaming about the potential of android as a gaming platform for years

    • @kokonbini
      @kokonbini ปีที่แล้ว

      I WANTED TO EDIT THIS TO ADD-
      As for handheld PCs, that's kind of a niche market in and of itself and its going to be sustained by its own enthusiasts so I wouldn't worry too much about phones in that regard.
      -BUT THE TH-cam APP SUCKS

    Warframe is also coming to iOS devices, its in beta right now but with something like a backbone controller it has been a pretty okay experience so far. I only really stopped playing it because there’s no cross save yet and theres no real reason for me to start over lol

    if Apple can get it to not be close to 2000 bucks CAD going forward then yea this could be a game changer. I'm very big on mobile gaming and love my Nintendo switch A LOT. I personally will not be getting Iphones for the foreseeable future but can see people really enjoying this.

    This can be done on any modern smart phone and already is. Mobile ports are nothing new. The problem they come across with Apple is the micro transactions which is why they are looking at single player games for $60 upfront.

    • @whitefata104
      @whitefata104 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lol those games are heavy even steamdeck barely to play at 720p. Snapdragon gen wont able to render those game at 720p@30fps. A17pro is same level as M1 chip. Thats why capcom and many other developer want to port they games

    • @JohnCiaccio

      @@whitefata104 No doubt but they will cut them down for mobile. People also don't have the storage size in phones for modern games. I am sure they are working on mobile ports of the engines though.

    This seems like the biggest fuck you to android users apple has ever done. Release the best gaming chipset on the market that can run RTX, but put in a closed ecosystem with only 10 games that support it. If this were an android phone, i would pay 2k for it for emulation and ports by modders, but that's all off the table due to the idiotic appstore restriction so I would never buy it.

    pc handheld just barely get attention. And now apple slap it back. Especially Nintendo will drop the bomb to. Just sad i after switching from steamdeck to ally. And now apple really big deal Cus they can play those games longer battery life as you know they limit tdp around 3.5w as i tested in iphone 13 and total power consumption under 5w playing these games and absolutely kick ally to the ground at 40w
