Actually, Larry Koopa was given his name simply because "he looks like a Larry."
Larry was actually not named after Larry king. The translator just looked at him and said he just looks like a Larry because he wanted all of them to be after music artists
I like how this guy is physically incapable of saying “Super Smash Bros. Melee”, instead saying Super Mario Bros. Melee.
Great video, however I did notice a mistake in you stating Larry was named after Larry king, although the man, I forget his name, stated that all of the other characters were named after those you displayed, he actually said he had no one in mind with Larry, he just felt he looked like a larry
That's not the only mistake, at 18:32 he says the original Mario Bros game was included in Super Mario Advance 2, but the cover art he shows is from SMB1, NOT "Mario Bros".
I'm confused. You keep saying Mario World is not a part of the Mario trilogy (Mario, Mario 2, Mario 3)...Like yeah, it's the fourth game. What exactly do you think a trilogy is?
I was left with so many questions after watching this video. Maybe he rushed this video as a tribute to just like Mario 4 was rushed?
Good job! But just a constructive criticisme… be sure to avoid fangames footage during your videos since those sre unnoffical. At 4:34, it’s the title screen of a NSMBW mod. At 18:00, you are showing a fanart of a game that doesnt exist… also, at 18:40, you show the boxart of SMB when talking about the arcade Mario Bros game.
Also the redundancy of him mentioning the Sunken Ghost Ship level being a crashed airship from SMB3 twice for no particular reason, even pointing out that its explained in the manual both times.
The fact you can hear the VA for Luigi laugh when he says "That's Mama Luigi to you" 😂
This video game stands in a league of it's own! I remember rushing home in elementary school to play this and it will FOREVER have a place in my heart. Great video as always Maker!

Some of the most classic video game music ever made utterly iconic Super Mario World is probably one of the most recognizable games of all time by sound alone

If SMW was a rushed game I can only imagine how insanely amazing the unrushed version would’ve been. With one more year of development they could’ve added Luigi and make it a 2 player game for example.

what is with the occasional weirdly random and out of context images like using an image showing the Switch, XBOne and PS4 when talking about SEGA vs. Ninty era of the console wars, almost seems one of those Wikia "who is" videos that just pull random stuff from Google without checking if it makes sense.

3:30 Sonic didn't come out until 1991, a year after Super Mario World.
Super Mario World dropped in North America on the same year as Sonic 1.

Love the video, smw is one of my favorite games! I did want to point out that the 5up is actually in the game! In one of the Forest of Illusion levels, if you keep jumping between wigglers to get a 1up, you’ll eventually see the 5up graphic, and I believe also a 3up one?

Yoshi's Cookie is a 1992 game that came on the NES long after the SNES was already out and successful.
Super Mario World is a 1990 game.
Yoshi had their own game on NES though...
which came out in 1992, _after_ Super Mario World.
