- Looking to capitalize on the success of Super Mario RPG, Shigeru Miyamoto attempted to reinvent its style. And by keeping the same combat mechanics but establishing a new type of animation, the world received one of the most beloved entries in the Mario series.

Luigi's role in the Paper Mario series has been quite a journey. In N64, he's more has a side role where Mario can visit him each time. in TTYD, he has his own adventure and thus more of a bigger role. In SPM, he's one of the main playable characters. In SS, makes only 6 cameos with the last one being during the end credits. Color Splash, barely even there at all. And finally OK finally gives him a secondary role we haven't seen since SPM.
We need a game based off of his adventures from TTYD
But let's be real.... We ALL want to play Paper Luigi
Well, we also have the Mario and Luigi RPG games where Luigi has a main role.

This is just a list of some trivia. The Luigi Diary entry about him wanting his own adventure isn't really a reference to Luigi's Mansion, it's just the usual thing of him wanting to be like Mario.
In the shiver city toadhouse, if you take a nap then stand next to the toad (not certain if this part is needed) then pause and unpause, the toad changes from a shiver city toad to a regular toad
You don't even need to take a nap, just talk to the toad then decline. After that you can pause anywhere on the map, even outside the house while inside a different house to come back to find a normal toad.

8:40 "Double Sun Dilemma" Paper Mario's battles were set up in a sort of diorama, so it's like someone put a display for the battles together.
Something that wasn’t mentioned but in the garbage pile where the code was located in in Paper Mario Sticker Star, there is also a note from Goombella and also a note from Parakarry
Only in the english localization. In Japan Goombella and Parakarry never gets mentioned.
This isn't so much of an iceberg video as just a cool reference video.
Half of it is also like a walkthrough. Some of the stuff mentioned you have to do to get through the game.
Fun fact: In Japan, Paper Mario is Mario Story, and Paper Mario TTYD is Mario Story 2. Paper Mario: Sticker Star is Paper Mario: Super Seal, and Paper Mario: The Origami King is Paper Mario: Origami King. Super Paper Mario and Paper Mario: Color Splash have the same title. So in Japan, Paper Mario started in 2007.
Bro you missed a game over in SPM. When you enter space the second time, Tippi will ask you to put the space helmet on. You can say no, and while very persistent, it will eventually lead to a game over if you keep saying no. Tippi's dialogue is actually funny too.

0:49 you forgot to mention that this is a direct throwback to the people who did this first- SquareSoft while making Mario RPG. They did this exact thing in Booster's tower.
Paper Mario always had amazing Music
Besides Resident Evil 64 being on of the largest capacity cartridge at 512MB/64Mega Bytes, Paper Mario, I believe, is 320MB/40Mega Bytes. There are a few other games that were released in larger capacity cartridge, but Resident Evil 64, as far as I am aware, is the largest cartridge on the Nintendo 64 and on any other home console or handheld for decades to come.
Pokemon Stadium 2 and Conker's Bad Fur Day were also released on 512MB carts

@@zachlundberg4802 Omg if they do Super Paper Mario I will so cry!! And also, the evidence seems to be pointing towards it. They didn't make a remaster of Paper Mario 64, but they added it to Nintendo Switch Online. So we have Mario RPG, PM64, and TTYD, now SPM seems to be coming next...

There was unreleased Planed game that used super paper Mario engine wich was discovered in the korean build of the game. Wich people belive intelligent system where trying make own thing After super paper Mario, the story was gonna be like a la alice Wonderland but with full of Cats, but some suspect was a rebranding to subtitute super paper Mario to other region with a replaced character to commit promotion with an Toy Company as for the game. But unfortunetly as file cointained withing its still unknown what could meant be like. Probaly was Good development process but After wile It fell trought so It was cancelled.

@@keenankersh7944 Only happens in the US version for some reason. It's to do with the lag they intentionally added _presumably_ to make the game look bad so people would stop requesting they go back to the PM64/TTYD style and stick with the brand-friendly SS/CS version where Toad is a character and not a species.

I loved the original Super Mario RPG and I couldn’t wait for a sequel. Then I saw Paper Mario 😾😿 Very disappointing. I just couldn’t do the crappy 2D graphics. I know that’s the style yadda yadda yadda. I just couldn’t get into it.

Paper mario games were ok but nowhere near as good as Super Mario RPG. Maybe Miyamoto is ok accepting that one of his games was loved because of it's art style and not it's mediocre gameplay ;)

This is one Mario series I can't get into. I have tried and tried and tried. I have bought the games and it boils down to the boring ass turn base mechanics. If it was like zelda is that would make it amazing but this I hit you then you hit me bs is just terrible and that goes for all rpgs
I love how some of these things are only known because of Stryder7x
