its easy to see that 80% of players are bots. watch how many players are online after an update. all the bots cant login because the client needs to be upgraded before the script will run again. soon as jagex does an update watch how the worldly player base goes from 1k to 200

Some of these accounts with ridiculous xp are hand-trained by gold farmers. Probably only a small percentage, but that could explain some of it. The anti-botting programs do need to be improved though; there's no fucking excuse for something being botted for 1XXM XP and never being banned. That's just blatant incompetence.
@@TheLolilol321 The issue is that even if you have a system that catches 99.99% of bots, that still means that one in ten thousand goes undetected. That one bot, and other bots patterned after it, can then go on to live a fairly long time - after all, they already went undetected! It's the bot that lived.
If Jagex wanted to manipulate the game to stimulate the economy they could just dump massive amounts of stuff directly onto the GE, they wouldn't need bots to farm it for them...

It's really easy to do with near no requirements. You can tell because the price of ranarrs has fallen 25% in 2 weeks near an all time low. Same with snapdragon seeds but 20%
I've seen bots training agility at the Edgeville Dungeon agility shortcut, between the spiders and earth warriors. The highest level one I saw had 89 agility, 110 combat, and was wearing an Elysian spirit shield + barrows legs and chest. Most wear adamant or rune. Stabbed that one a few times with a poisoned dragon dagger, to see if it'd react, but it didn't. No prayer, no teleporting, no chat. Just kept training agility until the poison killed it, and then it ran back with the same setup.

Nate Marinate yeah.. I was planning on going for my 8th 99 hunter but when I reached to lvl 70 I stopped, cause there’s literally 2 bots every world on each spot. Sad days.
I LOVE how every time Pugger or someone else provides proof that bots simply aren't being banned, (accounts with 140M ranged xp for example) they say "Yeah, we know, but we're banning them".... no they arent lol.
Farms I've noticed: -Emblem farm still present, but theyre running to the farm spot on the world above, then hopping. -Gargoyle Bots, similar to kurask -A weird one, can't figure out what theyre doing. But i seen them using the wizards tower fairy ring then tele away
@Probably NotYour PC can get infected easily without authorization if you're on sketchy websites that offer free movies and stuff, I always watch ads on youtube because i'm on mobile, but there is no doubt adblock is necessary to have on your PC. Although you should support good content creators by turning it off.

Kidz On Didz dude there are tons of bots that all pay for membership. Jaggex does waves of bot bans when too many start to populate. However those bots pay for members which brings jagex a lot of revenue.
A handful of bots in the mid 30's with base 30 combat stats and 37 thieving all talking to Ali Morrisane north of Al Kharid. Initially spotted in W314 but they seem to keep jumping to others, seem to be buying runes. Each one is wearing full addy, a headpiece, and amulet of glory
I got a weird one for you. Theres a farm of lv 4 bots with nothing but wolfbane equipped buying out packs of filled plant pots at the garden stores in Morytania next to the Ectofunctus. They log out if they see anyone on the minimap, but they log back in after a few seconds and repeat. None respond to chat, and unfortunately none on PvP worlds. The packs restock every second, and if they could make a 1gp margin per pot, it would be bils per hour across all the bots, but there's isn't enough traffic on the items in the GE for them to be dumping them there, and would only rarely hit that margin. Only thing I can think of is that the plant pots are being used as a proxy for gp to launder it, potentially for RWT. The packs of 100 vary between something like 100 - 130gp each depending on stock, which would mean that they're taking a minor hit in order to do this. But I can't think of anything else.
A little side note about the kurask bots, if you call them bots or say the word "bot" a lot of them will run to the spot where rangers safe spot and hop worlds. They're pretty advanced and im pretty sure its like an anti-ban keyword. I used to camp kurasks for gp and when I picked up on it I would always call them bots to clear worlds.
Found an ore-buying bot farm in Jatizso. Every 30 seconds, a new account logs into the shop, buys ores and then hops. Occasionally they will also bank there.
Glad you looked into those zulrah bots, hope the ban rates increase on them pretty dramatically. Was painful seeing all those bots run by, some of which with 40m or higher mage xp
Fun fact: About 3 months ago I've decided to take a break from runescape, didn't play it at all for 2 months or so. 1 month ago I try to log in to my account and I find out it was hijacked, bank was cleaned and guess what? It was used to bot zulrah, had over 1.5k kc, zulrah pet, etc. My account even had a temporary ban for botting, which I appealed for and jagex cleared it.
Ex-botter here. Jagex needs to accept that the randomisation and AI (yes, AI) of the best bots scripted by request per farm is far ahead of their detection technology. The only feasible way to solve this currently is with specialised roles created within Jagex to manually hop worlds and investigate, these wouldn't be highly paid roles if outsourced to secondary offices in lower labour rate countries, as opposed to Cambridge. I would estimate an investment of around £200-300k would suffice in stopping all high profit botting. The current system only penalises semi-legit players and provides Jagex enough results to convince them it's working, as long as these bot farms exist with impunity legit players will continue to turn to sub par scripts and get their long term accounts banned due to the advertisement factor created by farms. It's frustrating to see such a well-funded game restricted by rigid corporate methodology. Pentesters exist in cyber security for such reasons, Jagex needs to start thinking like a farm to solve them.
They could easily fix any botting problem if they wanted. But they dont because those bots keep this game up and running. Bots make up over half of their "Players Online right now" when you go to their website. Now they wont admit that, but you can literally see it when you play the game. Like there is no way you cant unless you are in complete denial. And lets not forget to mention the small profit the bots bring to the company. 🤷🏻♂️
Even though I dont play OSRS anymore, I'd still like to thank you. There is another thing though. I feel like the runescape economy is still flooded with bots, that if we were to hypothetically ban every single bot, the GE would crash and go into a depression. My evidence of that would be when they Jag first introduced the "bot nuke" day. Everything in the GE in pricing skyrocketed. However, it stabilised, but im not sure if thats because of more bots were made to counter Jagex's "Botnuke" or if players started recovering the economy themselves. Point is, I love you work in screwing up the botters, and I appreciate it,even if i dont play anymore. It's food for thought and a rather interesting topic when talking about how bots impact the GE, and what would happen if they all suddenly got banned. Thank you again!

To be honest, I'd make an account just to target bots. Low levels ones at least, now multiply that by like 200 you now have a small number of people who would dramatically change the economy if targeting all worlds at one spot.

I was thinking the same thing. I reckon pugger was asked to say that by mod weath to discourage botting... Why would you bother botting if you were loosing money, that doesn’t make any sense. Honestly I think most players have accepted that the battle against simple bots( iron mining, Yew chopping etc)is lost as they take no time to restart. Just really discouraging to see bots with millions of post 99 xp because regardless of what jagex says, those bots have been running for months and should’ve been caught. Even if it’s an alt account, hardly anyone attacks brutal black drags for 5-6+ hours a day and nothing else.
Lately I've been noticing players that look like Bots doing Pyramid Plunder. Only running through opening golden chests and sarcophagi. Wearing the same full rune (except for rune chain) and same stats appearing to have just made it to the quest requirements and possibly just finishing the Contact! quest as well
I've been doing some construction. Seems like many worlds are full of mass level 20-22cb emblem farmers running from Varrock East bank to beyond the Lumberyard to the wilderness in order to farm emblems. They kill each other and a non stop flow of them keeps returning 1 at a time.

There is loads of um at wyverns and are pretty complex ones, knowing when they arent safespotting anymore and need to adjust, they will splash air strike to prevent you from jacking the spot/wyvern ( also effective to try and steal give them back and then run out your agro timer) these bots are logged in for over 72 hours at least . The first one i noticed has been in the same spot in the same world for 4 days now.
Hey man don't usually comment but was at abyssal demons today at Canfis slayer tower and I'm pretty sure its botted! High levels there with full guthans, 99 skill cape. I went on the hiscores to search for one particular guy sign: Ziipol. Low and behold he has 85 sayer (the demon requirement) along with 44M xp in attack, strength and defence. He's obviously been here for so long! Whats going on?! Your videos are making me extra vigilant - great work!
A hilarious thing about the dragon med kurask bot farms is that if you say anything with related to “are you a bot” or any sentence with “bot” in it, they run off and hop. Great for making them fuck off, but doesn’t work on the guthans ones

Something really interesting I am noticing as I type this, at Kurasks I logged into several worlds and there is always someone in the same gear, full dragon armor with dfs and a fury. I logged out 6 hours ago and logged back in and hes still here. Surprisingly though he said something about a leaf bladed axe with a smiley face, idk what to believe, but theres one of these full dragon guys on every world I checked. 1am EST. He also doesn't pick up rannars or rune longswords for some reason. Also this guy was lvl 119. Update: he actually appears to pick up nothing, there was a d med helm on the ground he didnt loot off a kill

Pest Control Bots: Usually run to the middle south with basic rune gear, most of them will usually have 60-62 WC and many 1's Coal Buying Jaitzo Bots: Constantly buying Coal at 62 gp from the trader, sometimes break when you close the door on them.
The thing that I've never understood about botters is that instead of spending all of their time, money, energy, etc. in learning how to run a bot farm, why not instead invest their large RS capital in learning to swing-trade RS items on the GE? It isn't difficult, it isn't bannable, and the profit margins per-day will exceed 100m easily. Maybe they don't know how to read market patterns, pinpoint buy/sell points, or it isn't as easy for others as it has been for me personally. Doing the research on current GE trends via trial and error methodology takes me 2-3 weeks tops. Once I have done that research, I can reliably flip 10-20 different item sets as the GE cooldowns end with little effort for as long as I want to. A lot of people don't realize how stable RS's economy is. Keep in mind, I don't play OSRS at the moment due to University being so busy, and I don't know which items are currently viable. If I were somebody who wanted to make a living selling OSRS gold, that is the strategy I would adopt. Your invested time has much more opportunity cost because you cannot be punished ever for what you are doing. It has longevity, albeit it requires a bit more brain power to manage. And you need to be very, very organized.
Alot of high level bots are in fact hacked accounts, usually the accounts they target are inactive.. So they dont change passwords etc and so the accounts are less likely to get locked. This happened to one of my personal accounts and then i went to investigate

@Probably NotYour PC can get infected easily without authorization if you're on sketchy websites that offer free movies and stuff, I always watch ads on youtube because i'm on mobile, but there is no doubt adblock is necessary to have on your PC. Although you should support good content creators by turning it off.
I generally have no idea how you don't have the backing from jagex to ban these botters - you do more research into bot busting than jagex themselves lol.
Kidz On Didz dude there are tons of bots that all pay for membership. Jaggex does waves of bot bans when too many start to populate. However those bots pay for members which brings jagex a lot of revenue.
A handful of bots in the mid 30's with base 30 combat stats and 37 thieving all talking to Ali Morrisane north of Al Kharid. Initially spotted in W314 but they seem to keep jumping to others, seem to be buying runes. Each one is wearing full addy, a headpiece, and amulet of glory

I got a weird one for you. Theres a farm of lv 4 bots with nothing but wolfbane equipped buying out packs of filled plant pots at the garden stores in Morytania next to the Ectofunctus. They log out if they see anyone on the minimap, but they log back in after a few seconds and repeat. None respond to chat, and unfortunately none on PvP worlds. The packs restock every second, and if they could make a 1gp margin per pot, it would be bils per hour across all the bots, but there's isn't enough traffic on the items in the GE for them to be dumping them there, and would only rarely hit that margin. Only thing I can think of is that the plant pots are being used as a proxy for gp to launder it, potentially for RWT. The packs of 100 vary between something like 100 - 130gp each depending on stock, which would mean that they're taking a minor hit in order to do this. But I can't think of anything else.

A little side note about the kurask bots, if you call them bots or say the word "bot" a lot of them will run to the spot where rangers safe spot and hop worlds. They're pretty advanced and im pretty sure its like an anti-ban keyword. I used to camp kurasks for gp and when I picked up on it I would always call them bots to clear worlds.
The skeletal wyverns get big time farmed also, btw GF hiscores thanks to bots :(

Found an ore-buying bot farm in Jatizso. Every 30 seconds, a new account logs into the shop, buys ores and then hops. Occasionally they will also bank there.
Glad you looked into those zulrah bots, hope the ban rates increase on them pretty dramatically. Was painful seeing all those bots run by, some of which with 40m or higher mage xp

Fun fact: About 3 months ago I've decided to take a break from runescape, didn't play it at all for 2 months or so. 1 month ago I try to log in to my account and I find out it was hijacked, bank was cleaned and guess what? It was used to bot zulrah, had over 1.5k kc, zulrah pet, etc. My account even had a temporary ban for botting, which I appealed for and jagex cleared it.
Ex-botter here. Jagex needs to accept that the randomisation and AI (yes, AI) of the best bots scripted by request per farm is far ahead of their detection technology. The only feasible way to solve this currently is with specialised roles created within Jagex to manually hop worlds and investigate, these wouldn't be highly paid roles if outsourced to secondary offices in lower labour rate countries, as opposed to Cambridge. I would estimate an investment of around £200-300k would suffice in stopping all high profit botting.
The current system only penalises semi-legit players and provides Jagex enough results to convince them it's working, as long as these bot farms exist with impunity legit players will continue to turn to sub par scripts and get their long term accounts banned due to the advertisement factor created by farms.
It's frustrating to see such a well-funded game restricted by rigid corporate methodology. Pentesters exist in cyber security for such reasons, Jagex needs to start thinking like a farm to solve them.
What is "semi-legit"? For me things are binary. One either did break the rules or didn't.
They could easily fix any botting problem if they wanted. But they dont because those bots keep this game up and running. Bots make up over half of their "Players Online right now" when you go to their website. Now they wont admit that, but you can literally see it when you play the game. Like there is no way you cant unless you are in complete denial. And lets not forget to mention the small profit the bots bring to the company. 🤷🏻♂️

There is another thing though. I feel like the runescape economy is still flooded with bots, that if we were to hypothetically ban every single bot, the GE would crash and go into a depression. My evidence of that would be when they Jag first introduced the "bot nuke" day. Everything in the GE in pricing skyrocketed. However, it stabilised, but im not sure if thats because of more bots were made to counter Jagex's "Botnuke" or if players started recovering the economy themselves.
Point is, I love you work in screwing up the botters, and I appreciate it,even if i dont play anymore. It's food for thought and a rather interesting topic when talking about how bots impact the GE, and what would happen if they all suddenly got banned.

To be honest, I'd make an account just to target bots. Low levels ones at least, now multiply that by like 200 you now have a small number of people who would dramatically change the economy if targeting all worlds at one spot.

I was thinking the same thing. I reckon pugger was asked to say that by mod weath to discourage botting... Why would you bother botting if you were loosing money, that doesn’t make any sense. Honestly I think most players have accepted that the battle against simple bots( iron mining, Yew chopping etc)is lost as they take no time to restart. Just really discouraging to see bots with millions of post 99 xp because regardless of what jagex says, those bots have been running for months and should’ve been caught. Even if it’s an alt account, hardly anyone attacks brutal black drags for 5-6+ hours a day and nothing else.
If runefest doesn't get you to do a full dedicated bot busting stream I'm gonna be very disappointed
Lately I've been noticing players that look like Bots doing Pyramid Plunder. Only running through opening golden chests and sarcophagi. Wearing the same full rune (except for rune chain) and same stats appearing to have just made it to the quest requirements and possibly just finishing the Contact! quest as well
I've been doing some construction. Seems like many worlds are full of mass level 20-22cb emblem farmers running from Varrock East bank to beyond the Lumberyard to the wilderness in order to farm emblems. They kill each other and a non stop flow of them keeps returning 1 at a time.

There is loads of um at wyverns and are pretty complex ones, knowing when they arent safespotting anymore and need to adjust, they will splash air strike to prevent you from jacking the spot/wyvern ( also effective to try and steal give them back and then run out your agro timer) these bots are logged in for over 72 hours at least . The first one i noticed has been in the same spot in the same world for 4 days now.
Hey man don't usually comment but was at abyssal demons today at Canfis slayer tower and I'm pretty sure its botted! High levels there with full guthans, 99 skill cape. I went on the hiscores to search for one particular guy sign: Ziipol. Low and behold he has 85 sayer (the demon requirement) along with 44M xp in attack, strength and defence. He's obviously been here for so long! Whats going on?! Your videos are making me extra vigilant - great work!

A hilarious thing about the dragon med kurask bot farms is that if you say anything with related to “are you a bot” or any sentence with “bot” in it, they run off and hop. Great for making them fuck off, but doesn’t work on the guthans ones

Something really interesting I am noticing as I type this, at Kurasks I logged into several worlds and there is always someone in the same gear, full dragon armor with dfs and a fury. I logged out 6 hours ago and logged back in and hes still here. Surprisingly though he said something about a leaf bladed axe with a smiley face, idk what to believe, but theres one of these full dragon guys on every world I checked. 1am EST. He also doesn't pick up rannars or rune longswords for some reason. Also this guy was lvl 119. Update: he actually appears to pick up nothing, there was a d med helm on the ground he didnt loot off a kill

Coal Buying Jaitzo Bots: Constantly buying Coal at 62 gp from the trader, sometimes break when you close the door on them.

The thing that I've never understood about botters is that instead of spending all of their time, money, energy, etc. in learning how to run a bot farm, why not instead invest their large RS capital in learning to swing-trade RS items on the GE? It isn't difficult, it isn't bannable, and the profit margins per-day will exceed 100m easily. Maybe they don't know how to read market patterns, pinpoint buy/sell points, or it isn't as easy for others as it has been for me personally.
Doing the research on current GE trends via trial and error methodology takes me 2-3 weeks tops. Once I have done that research, I can reliably flip 10-20 different item sets as the GE cooldowns end with little effort for as long as I want to. A lot of people don't realize how stable RS's economy is. Keep in mind, I don't play OSRS at the moment due to University being so busy, and I don't know which items are currently viable. If I were somebody who wanted to make a living selling OSRS gold, that is the strategy I would adopt. Your invested time has much more opportunity cost because you cannot be punished ever for what you are doing. It has longevity, albeit it requires a bit more brain power to manage. And you need to be very, very organized.
Alot of high level bots are in fact hacked accounts, usually the accounts they target are inactive.. So they dont change passwords etc and so the accounts are less likely to get locked. This happened to one of my personal accounts and then i went to investigate
