As far as I'm aware a lot of the silver and mithril is coming from people doing valcano and selling it off to buy onyxs as it increases the value of the ore, it's part of why chaos runes were removed from the drop table
Quick question: wouldn’t constant small updates to the tutorial island temporarily stump new bots being made? Or just something being put into the tutorial island that only bots would be stupid enough to not know what to do? For example, for autoclick bots you could rotate the screen for a random amount of time to throw off its clicks and therefore these bots wouldn’t even be able to make it into the game and would have to be created manually. Even then it would reduce 99% of bots because they’d have to be made manually.
whoever maintains tutorial island scripts would just fix it as needed or individual botters would, you'd fix a few super low tech bots but those arent the ones causing major issues in economy

This kind of stuff is exactly why I gave up playing normal accounts years ago, bankstanding meta. I just enjoy the game for what it is, without interaction with gold farms and bots. I don't accept that the game is supposed to be played the way it currently is, either real world trading or grinding gp using a method that is possible for only a few days until people catch up with it and then buying all the supplies from bots with that money. It's the meta because it's the most efficient way to level up and get most items. At least playing ironman, you can stop partaking in the bot economy and break the cycle somewhat. This is why group ironman sounds so alluring, it's basically closed economyman mode and you can actually play the game and switch up your playstyle instead of doing 80% of all the stuff in the GE.

There was a LOT of level 3 bots doing pyramid plunder recently. They disappeared after a while (idk if they hopped or took a break to prevent bans..?) All were level 3, clear bot names (random letters), and all just ran through the 1st room to loot for the scepter, and exited and started over....

Ali Morrismone in alkahrid. Bots are solving the sudoku and purchasing nature, death and cosmic runes. The unought runes go to the supply of the store. This way you can see how many of each runes have been bought before by doing the sudoku. Many stores have 1mill+ runes
There are some odd bots wearing adamant armor in the kalphite lair. They walk in to the soldier room and then just log out. Over and over. I don’t get what they are doing but you might be able to figure it out.
I'm not sure how much better their detection system has gotten but I find it stupid that them 'banning 1000s' of bots per day makes playing an 'f2p' character impossible - I was bored and was afk fishing at barb village on an f2p ironman and that account was banned for botting, and since perma bans are unappealable I couldn't do anything.
How to completely break botting: Add carry weight into the game that has increasing penalty if you carry too much, make all items generally have weight, and raise carry capacity with certain skills. RIP bots carrying several hundred thousand ores and runes to literally being forced to walk, suffer defense penalties, cannot fast travel. Bots won't generally skill up combat like strength for carry capacity, so it makes them vulnerable. Item weight will be reasonable for single items, its the stacked items that will be unwieldy to have too much of. For instance single items weigh a value of 1-10. Stackables (arrows, ores, etc) weigh 0.01. GP doesn't have weight. Lv99 Str gives you 250 carry capacity. Lv99 Agility adds +50 extra. Lv99 Smithing adds +50. Base carry capacity is 50.
its possible they don't ban flagged bots until they are about to get the new player restrictions removed from the amounts to waste as much time of the bot as possible and also prevent the botter from knowing exactly what activity got them flagged for botting

6:15 still happening in F2P worlds. They're like level 50's wearing training S&S or bronze sword and wooden shield. I think they might be duel-arena bots. There's nothing invested in them other that bot time since their melee skills are usually between 40-60 and the rest is 1.
I have seen bots mining adamant and 1 runite rock west of Lletya, there were 2 stacked on top of each other with the exact same equipment so that made it pretty obvious lmao.

The bots that train using earth strike also have a small bot farm that rune crafts earth runes so the cost of there spell is basically nil.
There are some odd bots wearing adamant armor in the kalphite lair. They walk in to the soldier room and then just log out. Over and over. I don’t get what they are doing but you might be able to figure it out.

Silver and mithril ore at tzhaar is probably ultimate ironmen to be honest. Selling stuff to the shops there for tokkul is a smart move.
I'm not sure how much better their detection system has gotten but I find it stupid that them 'banning 1000s' of bots per day makes playing an 'f2p' character impossible - I was bored and was afk fishing at barb village on an f2p ironman and that account was banned for botting, and since perma bans are unappealable I couldn't do anything.
Found a f2p bot farm in non members at the chicken coop connected to the cows near falador, they all have bronze shields and swords
There is a bot farm in draynor village pickpocketing te farmer for seeds. In every world there are 4/5 bots with the same stats around +-75 theiving
Bot farm in lumbridge castle running from the bank on 2nd floor to the spinning wheel on 1st floor. Seemed to be a lot of them as well
How to completely break botting:
Add carry weight into the game that has increasing penalty if you carry too much, make all items generally have weight, and raise carry capacity with certain skills.
RIP bots carrying several hundred thousand ores and runes to literally being forced to walk, suffer defense penalties, cannot fast travel.
Bots won't generally skill up combat like strength for carry capacity, so it makes them vulnerable.
Item weight will be reasonable for single items, its the stacked items that will be unwieldy to have too much of.
For instance single items weigh a value of 1-10. Stackables (arrows, ores, etc) weigh 0.01. GP doesn't have weight.
Lv99 Str gives you 250 carry capacity.
Lv99 Agility adds +50 extra.
Lv99 Smithing adds +50.
Base carry capacity is 50.

its possible they don't ban flagged bots until they are about to get the new player restrictions removed from the amounts to waste as much time of the bot as possible and also prevent the botter from knowing exactly what activity got them flagged for botting
just seen a lot of fishing botters with cb4 and over 90 fishing in catherby, they all seem to have 9 prayer as well

The bot farm in port sarem prison has been there for over a year since I made my account. I would train my range up there to hide behind tables and they were there back then.
I would like to congratulate jagex in banning Seb(maybe justified maybe not) but failing to ban a massive bot farm and long lasting bots that are clearly rule breaking

I think they might be duel-arena bots. There's nothing invested in them other that bot time since their melee skills are usually between 40-60 and the rest is 1.
The bots selling ores are more likely buying onyx bolt tips than onyxes

I have seen bots mining adamant and 1 runite rock west of Lletya, there were 2 stacked on top of each other with the exact same equipment so that made it pretty obvious lmao.
there is a bot farm not sure what they'are doing but they often run past lvl 13 wildy obelisk.. they are skulled, around 50 combat, most of them have addy plate and a pickaxe..please look into this :3

Question: Do you sell the items you loot from bots? I personally wouldn’t because you are just selling the stuff for them, which inflates the market and doesn’t change the problem at all.
It's harder to keep up to quality standards and detect shit like normal while everyone's working at home would be my best guess.
I wonder if there's a bot out there designed to be configurable to fuck up different bot farms.
