Even though Jocasta Nu is only a competent duelist, she held her own fairly well against the Grand Inquisitor
Palpatine described her as "barely competent with a lightsaber." The Inquisitors are a disgrace.

@@Historian474 yes, but Palpatine was one of the greatest lightsaber users in the galaxy, 'barely competent' to Palpatine likely means she was still very good.
The Grand Inquisitor was the only high tier fighter in the Inquisitorius, they were kept weak to discourage an assassination attempt. They didnt need to be very powerful though as Vader dealt with any powerful Jedi and the Inquisitors mopped up the rest. Jocasta Nu was not considered a great fighter though even to the average jedi. Like she said combat wasnt her prowess

Just shows how smart Vader is again that he wanted to keep one of the most knowledgeable jedis to ever live alive for interrogation while another dark side user just shows his bloodthirst and desire for a high in the moment, Vader thinks how his actions and the actions of other will effect the future. Anakin was smart but young and had so much raw power to rely on that he didn’t always think before acting (like when he rushes count duku) but even with Vader not being as strong as anakin was, he is still able to elevate himself because of how he further sharpened his mind and learned from the past. Star Wars really is one of the greatest story’s of all time with so many stories to tell.

I have this comic and read through it and what pisses me off is that she didn't just leave. She even told herself to just ignore it and keep her focus on her mission to get the list. Yet, she gave in to her anger and decided to attack. Which ultimately led to the her downfall. Which was super annoying. I did like though when the Grand Inquisitor said, "there are no more Jedi left" in reference to no one being there to save her, and Vader stops him. Even though he was given orders to protect her so she could be interrogated, it was still cool to see it.

This illustrates the problem with making all jedi to be knights. You get elderly librarians and 3 foot green guys having sword fights instead of simply being wise.

What I want to know is why no-one asked the question how a bunch of clones could respond instantly to a command unless it was pre-programed way ahead of time, like when they were created - thus it had to be planned and could only be executed by someone who deliberately wanted the situation to happen...meaning the entire situation was thought and plotted out by the one who would eventually give the command - obviously making them the real evil.

I believe a side of vader wanted her to fullfill bringing the jedi back. He was always angry for a multitude of reasons and I know for a fact one was palpatine. I believe he regretted it all basically being for nothing and that he sacrificed his life and his loved ones for palpatines vision. For palpatines lie.
Did Order 66 happen on January 6th when people also sacrificed their lives and their (relationships with) loved ones over a lie?

These darth vader stories are seriously intriguing and i enjoy watching them, but could you do more about other villains/heroes, such as the Grievous, there isnt much covered in his background as ive watched multiple Star Wars movies and The Clone Wars seasons

I think Vader should’ve let him kill her I mean it should’ve been obvious that her commitment would’ve prevented her from revealing any secrets I feel like having her alive was much more of risk that wasn’t worth it I mean I understand what his plan was but I feel like eliminating someone with much knowledge hinders the jedi worse than gaining info from her
@Ice Age Baby yeah it’s just annoying how a lot of times the obvious option is to eliminate the problem before it gets worse but the villains never use that method

If it was Anakin then yes but this is Vader. Jocasta Nu was contemplating why she was spared by him when the Grand Inquisitor almost killed her. She quickly figured that the real reason why he let her live was because the Empire and Vader need her secrets as a Jedi librarian. The secrets of the Jedi archives have too much worth for the Empire to ignore. They need her because she's the only one that knows the archives better than any one because it'll take special permissions for access to that information. Otherwise it'll take years and maybe way more for the Empire to navigate all of the archives.
I don't think so. Anakin was lost long before Vader came to be. No one was forcing him to do the things he did in the Jedi temple. He wasn't given any specific orders to kill the younglings. He did that himself. He didn't hesitate, he was taking stock of how many there were as well as taking a moment to fuel his hatred for the acts he was about to do by mentally rationalizing it as, "Look what the Jedi forced me to do!" And then hating the Jedi even more while completely and purposely disregarding any thought he might be wrong about all this and letting it scab over in delusion.
That not bad enough, recall back in SWII when he saw his mother die in his arms. He chose to disregard everything his mother ever taught or showed him of love, peace, hope, joy and who he really is, despite it being her last words. He made the active decision to disregard it because it was already planned. He went there to kill all of them. Finding his mother alive was unexpected and mucked up his plans a little by making him see that he still is that innocent child, but he chose to kill it and disgrace everything she just said because his own catharsis mattered more to him than his own mother.
When masters Yoda and Windu said he was too old,it was because younglings are taken almost immediately after birth so they don't have a chance to form any bonds to anyone or anything that isn't in the Jedi temple. But young Grew up in Tatooine! As a slave no less! He not only formed bonds outside of the temple and had 10 years to do it, but he was also exposed to numerous forms of crime and cruelty. Didn't he also low key blackmail Watto?
People often forget just how similar the Jedi are to Shaolin monks in terms of lifestyle and practices.
So in conclusion, I personally do not believe Darth Vader had much good in him and his reasons for keeping her alive was in part to interrogate her for valuable information, but also to torture her for kicks.

Kid, I just typed up a whole autobiography no one asked for before I realized I'm just talking to a kid on TH-cam who seems pretty cool, so I deleted it. But yeah, anyway, I love having in depth discussions about "Would this person really do this" or "Could person X really beat person Y" and I break them down in separate psychological profiles, look at base physical, mental and emotional stats. I look at certain feats they've accomplished and which ones were done intentionally and which ones were circumstantial. I look at what drives them normally and what has motivated them in the past that yielded different results in effectiveness. I look at strengths and weaknesses (my ability to do this quickly and efficiently has adopted me the nickname Reaver; to find and exploit a weakness) then for the sake of even story telling and assessment, I generally set the scene by placing the two in an environment catered to both party's strengths and weaknesses, for example, an area of neutrality where neither party is at any advantage or disadvantage, an area where one part has a specific disadvantage, an area where they have a natural advantage and alike for the other party. I did one for Darth Revan vs Master Yoda and it came down to who makes the first move (or who is the first to expend energy) and who could outlast who. I gave Lord Revan the home field advantage in a Sith base and a battalion of battle droids and a security system (mostly surveillance and trap doors meant to divide forces) and Master Yoda had with him Jedi masters Plo Koon and Kit Fisto as well as a platoon of Elite clone troopers and 5 gun ships. The gun ships were almost immediately taken out. One was shot down and the other was force pushed into the other by Lord Revan while he stood on the roof of the base just before he walked back into the base.
Anyway, to save time, the other two Jedi got split up and so did the clones. Yoda got sent down a trap door where Revan was waiting in the deep underground, surrounded by about 50 battle droids. (Revan secretly has a forcefield up around him which can pretty easily by disabled cuz it's just a cylinder from the floor to the ceiling and you have to hit the top part to deactivate it but if you don't realize it's there it's gunna be a bit of a surprise for you) so Revan uses the force to send lightning down while he stands there to preserve energy. Yoda jumps from pillar to pillar, slicing battle droids in half while they open fire at him. Revan force pushes Yoda in midair against walls, the ceiling and the floor any chance he can which doesn't tickle. Yoda can't keep doing this with the droids still shooting at him so he uses the force to rip them apart. Meanwhile Revan let's him but rips the deactivated turrets off the wall and throws them at him. Yoda cuts them in half over and over again. He goes in to strike Revan but is greeted with the forcefield. Just as he leaps away, many pieces of droids and sliced up metal collide with the spot Yoda just was a moment sooner. Yoda quickly disables the forcefield and lunges again after leaping from place to place but is shocked to have his lightsaber met with a purple lightsaber of a Jedi. This unexpected surprise breaks the Jedi master's concentration as Lord Revan attacks with a second red saber. Yoda uses the force to get some distance between them, only to find he had fallen into a trap of his own creation. All the sliced up droids, scraps of metal, the broken stone walls, it's used by Lord Revan in a force whirlwind all around the Jedi Master. Each piece cutting and shredding into his skin, causing him to bleed all over. Master Yoda has used up too much energy using the force to jump around, deflect force lightning and dismantle droids and with his concentration broken and bleeding wounds inflicted, the Jedi Master can no longer continue the duel. While maintaining his focus, Darth Revan walks closer to the shredding whirlwind of metal and blood. He releases the force, ignites his purple lightsaber and puts it to Master Yoda's throat. "Do you yield? This battle is over."
Alt. Ending 1:
"Not if anything, I have to say abou-" Lord Revan interrupts the Jedi Master's response with his lightsaber piercing his throat. "I told you, the battle was over..."
Alt. Ending 2:
"Won, you have. Rule not, will the Sith." Yoda manages to say. Revan puts away his saber and extends his hand to the Jedi. "You're right. I think it's time for things to change. Something is coming, and it will take the combined efforts of the Jedi and the Sith to vanquish this new threat. Let us go Jedi. We have a rule to break..."
A library is not complete without a librarian who maybe a living Rosetta Stone. When Archimedes was killed by a Spartan soldier by mistake much was lost. It's a thought.

I understand that Darth Sidious loves his "The Rule of Two" Sith law, but why not make them Sith Knights instead of Inquisitors? I mean even I've seen more than one that've turned to th dark side.
The base idea of the rule of two is, a large group of mid level Sith could overtake a single more powerful Sith, making the whole order weaker. With 2, all the power is funneled, making both extremely powerful.
Sidius is as powerful as he is because of the rule of two.
@@jawstrock2215 true that is true he had at that. But still the one thing he could never stop was the number of force users turning to the dark side. Just saying if he wanted he could've changed the law himself & made it to where he could grow more stronger.
@@jawstrock2215 Also it is easier to stay hidden if you are just a pair. And changing sides is also harder since the master and apprentice stay in close contact all the time unlike the Jedi, where most of them were assigned to sectors or planets alone for a very long time.

It's the same year since these Darth Vader comics take place right after ROTS. Vader goes to build his new lightsaber right after he was put in the suit by stealing a Jedi's lightsaber and bleed it. After that, he came back to train the new Inquisitors and then the hunt for Jocasta Nu happened. This event most likely takes place a few weeks or a few months after ROTS.

2:40 sounds familiar to the story of another fallen Jedi almost like their system was BAD. No that can’t be as we all know the Jedi Council is NEVER wrong. There has never been a part in any of the canon where the Jedi Council sabotage them self and cause destruction of the Jedi and they did not make their strongest enemies because they wouldn’t allow them to show emotion or just be a human being or whatever type of sentient creature they were nope obviously not the Jedi Council‘s fault
