Left-handed Link as the left-handed protag (at 16-17 years old, but no facial hair), a back scabbard on Link's back (w/ shoulder belt), Master Sword (w/ the winged quillons (curved to the blade), the two golden gems on the guard, straight edges, spear point, and hexagonal blade section fully intact) as Link's main weapon (the essential sacred sword ta beat Ganon by stabbin' his cold heart in the exact center), Link's green tunic, Link's green hat, Zelda as right-handed deuteragonist (at 16-17 years old), Ganondorf as a very tall right-handed giant w/ the beard (like Abraham Lincoln's iconic beard), and the final final bein' won by Link 'n Zelda by beatin' Ganondorf at his own game. THESE things should be left intact. 'Course the back scabbard needs an open slot so the blade comes out AND goes back in easier (keepin' the blade coated in oil to avod corrison). We need left-handed Link w/ the swords like the Master Sword in his left hand, shields like the Hylian Shield on his right arm (horizontal carry only), left-handed archery by Link, and his green tunic w/ the green hat. We need the 'Merican accent fer Link, Zelda, Hylia, Demise, Ganondorf, and the pigman Ganon. British accent fer Zelda's dad King Rhoam (or Harkinian) and a few aristocrats. We need more diversified accents ta be more diverse. In a Japanese dub, we need Shimono Hiro as Link (talkin' like a casual Yankii punk), Seto Azami as Zelda (talkin' like a princess like Raphtalia from The Risin' o' the Shield Hero), Ostuka Akio as Ganondorf (same voice as Iskandar in Fate Zero). We need an OG story w/ references to the Bible verses and the symbolism, like the Hylian Shield as Shield of Faith and the Master Sword as the sacred sword o' the Spirit. Plus the green tunic w/ the green hat (w/ the long-sleeved shirt AND pants or shorts) bein' Link's main outfit as a symbol of a new life, a new beginnin', freedom without the broken chains, resurrection, and hope.

I'd love for there to be a Zelda anime that's maybe 20+ episodes honestly if they it were to be animated. A 2 hour movie probably wouldn't do this phenomenal series justice.
@@oniran they can easily do the series justice in a 2-hour live action movie they just need to make an original story that's NOIT based on any of the existing games like they said in the video also, animation tend to go from great to worse overtime due to budget limitations we don't need it to be extra flashy like most anime series, we just want it simple to incorporate 3D seamlessly with the 2D plus, thanks to the Planet of the Apes reboot series, mocap acting has improved tremendously, so they could easily bring those races to life with state-of-the-art CGI, just put Andy Serkis in charge of the mocap coaching and things will be ok lastly, it's Nintendo's decision on whether it's gonna be fully animated like the recent Mario Bros movie or live-action, so no matter what we say won't change anything with Sony Pictures part of the production, they could once again use their animation division to bring the series in a unique style like what they did with the Spider-Man Spiderverse series

We know Ganondorf is going to be in the live action Zelda movie because along with Link and Zelda, he is a major character. He is the main antagonist in most of the Zelda games.
The thing about Link's characterization is that none of the official manga adaptations for the games ever portray Link as quiet and introverted. Many some like the Ocarina of Time manga actually do depict Link as cocky, wisecracking and outright chatty.
One guy on youtube created a game of thrones version of Zelda called Hyrule Conquest AKA Hyrule Total War back in the day and The story telling on it was so good, it should've been a major mini series. A live action Zelda movie would be great. I would also like it if Ganondorf was played by a bollywood actor (since he is a gerudo, and gerudos are based on Indian people).
IF we absolutely have to have a LoZ movie, I really hope that if they’re going for the “Original plot” as you say, that Hollywood doesn’t mess it up like they did “Street Fighter” or the OG “Super Mario Bros” movie
What would I want to see? The movie opening narration describes the basic Zelda cycle of a great evil appearing and a Hero and Priestess rising to combat it. During the narration, we get a quick montage of live action versions of Links and Zeldas from the pre-existing games. Nothing in depth, but just quick shots of iconic scenes from various games. The purpose of this montage is not just fan service, but to also establish that Link and Zelda look DIFFERENT in every incarnation (have different actors and actresses play the different Links and Zeldas) even if they have certain traits in common across all incarnations.
Speaking of Zelda as a companion, her relationship with Link is the most important part that should be included to the original story. They started out as best friends at the beginning since childhood. Both are carefree children until Link pulls the Master Sword to which caused him to silent himself now he is carrying the burden of being Hyrule’s hero he did not ask for. As the story progresses, pair learned to trust one another, to rely on, and to help each other overcome their own personal challenges as their relationship grow into something more. A similar love story to Skyward Sword and BOTW/TOTW but the Zelda movie stand on its own. .
What I want most is that Nintendo comes out and says "Just kidding, we're doing an animated Zelda movie with Studio Ghibli.". The only live-action Nintendo movie that actually worked was Detective Pikachu, and that wasn't even based on a major game like Zelda.
I think the first movie should basically be Link going through a dungeon to get the master sword. There should also be flashbacks to why he's doing this and how he knows how to solve the puzzles. The dungeon could be based on the forest dungeon from OoC but with the Hookshot being the dungeon item. Phantom Ganondorf would be a great boss to tease the series future. A second movie should be Ganondorf going from somewhat benevolent leader of the gerudo to being corrupted by the Triforce of Power and usurping the king of Hyrule. The third movie should be Zelda raising and army to fight Ganondorf (this is where the different races come into play) and enacting a plan for Ganondorf and Link to have a one on one confrontation.
An epic Koji Kondo soundtrack has been sorely missed over the last couple of games. I would love that to be in the movie! I agree with all points in the video. I loved the series since I first played ALTTP on the SNES 30 years ago. Unlike some people, I’m down for a live action, original story, even if I'd also love some limited anime series adaptation. I just want for it to be great! Link needs to be fairly reserved but should definitely talk and casted as by a fairly lesser known actor. But he'll need a great and fun supporting cast along his journey. I hope they use practical effects when possible but would love some good CGI too. I hope for some of the music to even be a part of the story as it is in several of the games. I also hope he's left handed too just as a nod to most of the Links of the games, as Link should've always been. The story should have a lush and thriving Hyrule that may get ruined and not one that's already post-apocalyptic. A story that doesn't rely use too many if any flashbacks and instead just has the story and lore building throughout. They could even have a young Link that gets older. I'm hoping for something that's timeless and epic, not just a funny movie kids will like.
He was in "That. Movie." but this is different, if he voiced the Demon Dragon, then it'd make sense, and i would know he could do it, it's all bout the direction.
They definitely need to make the Ocarina of Time story-line as that was the original Legend of Zelda, but Miyamoto lacked the technology and storage space to pull it off.
to me I just hope we get to see lots of classic enemies maybe like some we only have seen in the 2D games like what breath of the wild did with the Lynels and maybe see some cool enemies too like Dark Link and Shadow Link
Whay if it was the life of Ganondorf, since birth to the day he bowed to king Rauru in Oot??? We see so many movies and games adaptations that are still from the perspective of the heroes... how he became so powerfull... how did he gain the lightning ability... how did he gain the power to float... how he gain the power to command Stalfoes and Poes... how he got the ability to transform weak creatures into big monsters... i wish to see that... and a live action movie should be perfect for that... then an anime to show what happened after...
1. Because of how much lore is in the Zelda Franchise, it would be better suited for a TV show. Each season building up to a final boss. 2. Like how Avatar set up Ozai and how the MCU set up Thanos, Ganon should be the big bad of the story. If it gets at least two sequels, I hope Ganon is saved for the end of the trilogy. 3. MAKE LINK TALK! That's all I'm gonna say. 4. No complicated timeline please.
I think that young guy who stars in the new dune movie would make a great link. He knows how to be reserved as an actor. He's young looking and he is fairly new to Hollywood. Just dye his hair blond and he would fit link well I think.
Its almost like my mind manifested this list. Especially the Original Story part. We Zelda nerds who play the games religiously will have a mystery going and the movie won't turn into a checklist or a walkthrough in movie form Regarding Dungeons. I'm thinking either 1 big dungeon for 30-40 minutes. Or 2-3 smaller dungeons for 15-20 minutes each. Regarding Link. A man of few words is what I hope they do with Link with good writing. I'll side with Link being an C-B list actor and cool if they find one left handed. Regarding 5 I echo Zelda being a teammate like Spirit Tracks. Heck she hasn't really been much of a Damsel in Distress in the 3d games anyway. but I don't want them to make her the Mary sue and Link the joke like Peach and Mario were inching on being in that film.
I agree with most of this, but I've always thought an adaptation of OoT incorporating minor elements from other games would be the best story option (and lets face it, Sheik is the best way to get Zelda as Link's companion).
Please bring back the composer of the super Mario Brothers, movie by Universal and illumination as he did, a good job, bringing in music, motifs from the games while making it fittingly cinematic at the same time
The most important thing is to get the tone right. Epic, but a little campy. The closest I can think of is imagine LOTR but written and directed by James Gunn.
I kinda hope they use some of our favorite music 🎶 and keep us guessing with suspense I feel like it needs to be animated, music I’m hoping for is from ocarina of time my opinion
After seeing the AI, I'm convinced that Tom Holland should play Link for the live action Zelda movie. For the first movie, I think it should be based on NES Zelda 1 and SNES LttP. It would be nice to see Link have to face his dark self (NES Zelda 2). I guess it all depends on how they want to pace using the source materials. I did love the story for Link's Awakening, and the Oracle games as well. I couldn't get into the newer games, so perhaps those could be used for the sequel. But ultimately if they are wanting to go for a trilogy like Sonic, there is still enough source material to draw from to create character development.
Link and Zelda getting married is a big thing that I want. After all the changes and new things in Breath of the Wild, we might as well get things like that in the movie.
1: Link stays introverted but charismatic by his cold and calm nature... A Soldier attitude. 2: A try-out 2 and half hours movie based by Ocarina of Time. If we make an hour and half movie, it will need more. And if they try something new, it better NOT MISS or else, it will be a massive failure!! It's not like Mario which is overall all the same but we can add humorous stuffs unlike Zelda that is varied! The actors, if they do good jobs, a 100M$ actor that does a good job and looks like the characters, I have NO PROBLEM! If they try to do a movie based by the games, Ocarina of Time is the best try out. A 2 and half hours movie, we can put EVERYTHING necessary in this movie. Plus the background, flashbacks, races, environments and dungeons. Skyward Sword, it needs a part 2 at least! Breath of the Wild, 3! A Link to The Past, Twilight Princess and Wind Waker, too niche! And Majora's Mask, even if it's my favorite... WAY TOO DARK!
Zelda should have been animated. Mark Wahlberg should have been Nathan Drake instead. I think that was considered at one point. It's better than being Max Payne. Mark didn't look badass enough for the role.
Nintendo Cinematic Universe Phase One: The Super Mario Bros. Movie The Legend of Zelda The Super Mario Bros. Movie 2 Metroid StarFox Kirby’s Dream Land Super Smash Bros. Movie
Just like you guys said, I'm hoping for an original story and hoping that they only have references to previous games. I am hoping that we see at least one dungeon and its boss. Link can't talk in the game. If he does, than it would just go back to the cartoon, which I didn't really care for "well excuuuse me princess." Man, that was so annoying. Anyway, I really would like unknown actors to play at least Zelda and Link. I want a villain type A list actor to play Ganondorf though because I want a good back story just like Tears of the Kingdom did.
I know that these expectations would make it good but IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN AN ANIME IT SHOULD BEEN AN ANIME WHY NINTENDO WHY CAN'T YOU JUST ACCEPT AN ANIME FOR ZELDA! 😭
Whomever they cast, I hope the actors have really good chemistry. Link’s actor should be able to convey a whole lot without saying a word, and since they come as a duo, they should be able to really show us a connection through their acting choices with each other. A lot harder to bring to life in live action, esp with limited dialogue. I hope they find the right talent.
Nah, I'd go w/ open dialogue so give Link the 'Merican accent, but more casual, like, "I'm doin' what the hell I gotta do ta save these peeps, an' there ain't nuttin' yer gunna do ta stop me yet!", "Check these gadgets out, dude!", "Reapin' whatcha sow!", "Damn Ganondorf ain't nuttin' ta scoff at.", "Gimme ev'rythin' y'got, bro!", "Let's send 'em flyin'!", "S'all gunna be done.", "Biz is boutta go down fer reals!", "Totes.", "Cuttin' our way through like Moses through the Red Sea w/ Almighty God helpin' out!", "Zelda's my kinda pal who's flippin' strong, but humble in her conduct.", AND "The Master Sword's my spirit sword w/ a sacred steel blade blessed by God, so it's gotta work by piercin' Ganon as the Evil's Bane!"
Make it a trilogy: Legend of Zelda: ********* of Wisdom Legend of Zelda: Trials of Courage Legend of Zelda: Bastion of Power First is the lore, second is the adventure, third is the final battle.
I swear, it would really suck if Link didn't talk 😅 talk little, yes, but I bet the only reason he doesn't "talk" is because voice actors need to do extra work for that. He absolutely can talk in game 😅
7:24 Suuuure, him obsessing over Peach like a NEET nerd stereotype with the power of a king/flame spitting dinosaur is DEFINITELY character depth. Also being very petty against Mario for thinking Mario will take his princess. -_- 8:55 Who's in an uproar about it? Many figured since Mario got a movie, surely Legend Of Zelda would get one. Maybe uproar over the fact it will be live action instead of cartoony.
Can we please just cast someone else other than Tom Overrated Holland. He ain’t going to fit the teen role for much longer, so cast someone else…as long as they’re the right skin tone. That’s right I’m aware of the black washing habit Hollywood seems to be doing nowadays.
Please make this movie as good at Tears of the Kingdom. Do not screw it up, wonder if Link and Zelda will kiss since they haven't even kissed or shown that they are a couple.
@@a.jthomas6132 I was thinking the same. Here's my thinking of that, you know that they are in love but they don't have to say anything. Every time she's in trouble, he's there to save her. Sometimes words, aren't needed. It would be nice if they do a sick movie with a lot of the technology that we have and finally letting everyone know, that they love each other.

Personally, I don't think animation would work for a zelda movie
@@curtisparsons1177 Anime would be perfect for Zelda, as the numerous manga adaptations have shown
What I want most is that Nintendo comes out and says "Just kidding, we're doing an animated Zelda movie with Studio Ghibli.".
This should really be an HBO show if we’re being honest.
Keith David as Ganondorf, Nuff Said.🙏
What about benedict cumberbatch he was great as Smaug in the hobbit
He was in "That. Movie." but this is different, if he voiced the Demon Dragon, then it'd make sense, and i would know he could do it, it's all bout the direction.
@@RockerMicke1 Cumberbatch was also Khan in Star Trek: Into Darkness.
Could work in the animated movie.
They should make this an animated movie like the Mario movie so they could build a smash Brothers connected universe
They definitely need to make the Ocarina of Time story-line as that was the original Legend of Zelda, but Miyamoto lacked the technology and storage space to pull it off.
What I liked so much about the Zelda cartoon in the 80s was sounds directly from the video games.
to me I just hope we get to see lots of classic enemies maybe like some we only have seen in the 2D games like what breath of the wild did with the Lynels and maybe see some cool enemies too like Dark Link and Shadow Link
We don't want Tom Holland to play Link
Whay if it was the life of Ganondorf, since birth to the day he bowed to king Rauru in Oot??? We see so many movies and games adaptations that are still from the perspective of the heroes... how he became so powerfull... how did he gain the lightning ability... how did he gain the power to float... how he gain the power to command Stalfoes and Poes... how he got the ability to transform weak creatures into big monsters... i wish to see that... and a live action movie should be perfect for that... then an anime to show what happened after...
If Ganondorf's in it, I want Keith David playing him.
Me #crying #😢 late 40's here .
I’m all for the Legend of Zelda movie but no Tom holland…..
Aww that sucks u guys not focusing on the awards, I was looking forward to see what game won in the different categories
We Zelda nerds who play the games religiously will have a mystery going and the movie won't turn into a checklist or a walkthrough in movie form
Regarding Dungeons.
I agree that the movie should have its own unique story and not be an adaptation.
If we had to get an adaptation, i would choose Ocarina of Time.
I agree with most of this, but I've always thought an adaptation of OoT incorporating minor elements from other games would be the best story option (and lets face it, Sheik is the best way to get Zelda as Link's companion).
Stellan Skarsgård as either the king of Hyrule or one of the Sages.
I wonder how link and mario will meet
There is a good chance they won't use a green screen, since Link is iconically green. Maybe a blue screen or a virtual LED set.
Please bring back the composer of the super Mario Brothers, movie by Universal and illumination as he did, a good job, bringing in music, motifs from the games while making it fittingly cinematic at the same time
Christopher Judge (Teal'c and Kratos) for Ganondorf
Number 1. For it to not be live action. Just animate it like they did for Mario.
i can tell you that thumbnail is something that not a single one of us wants
The most important thing is to get the tone right. Epic, but a little campy. The closest I can think of is imagine LOTR but written and directed by James Gunn.
Don’t make it love action and make it an animated series.
Emma as Zelda. Couldn't get much better
I would like Link to say, "excuse me, princess."
I'm more worried about this than the Fallout TV Show.
My first choice for the characters:
Tanner Buchanan - Link
Elle Fanning - Princess Zelda
Idris Elba - Ganon
First Knuckles now Ganondorf I I think Idris Elba would be a great choice for Ganon
If it will be based on oot they should have jack black play darunia
Zelda should have been animated.
Mark Wahlberg should have been Nathan Drake instead. I think that was considered at one point. It's better than being Max Payne. Mark didn't look badass enough for the role.
Why do hardcore Zelda fans want an animated film? I’ve wanted a live action Zelda for almost twenty years now. What are we children?
Wait a minute, both Nintendo and Sony Pictures are working on a live action Zelda movie?
Nintendo Cinematic Universe Phase One:
The Super Mario Bros. Movie
The Legend of Zelda
The Super Mario Bros. Movie 2
Metroid
StarFox
Kirby’s Dream Land
Super Smash Bros. Movie
@@ricardoortiz4870donkey kong country the movie
Yoshi's island the movie
Luigi's mansion
And pokemon detective pikachu 2.
It needs to be somewhere between lotr and indiana jones 😊
Raiders of the fellowship of the triforce
I know that these expectations would make it good but
IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN AN ANIME IT SHOULD BEEN AN ANIME WHY NINTENDO WHY CAN'T YOU JUST ACCEPT AN ANIME FOR ZELDA! 😭
It needs to take place in a different timeline with a completely new story and not adapted from existing stories
I’d love to see the movie end with a kiss between Link & Zelda.
Hope this won’t be a live action Mario movie situation. I thought they’d learned 😢
God I hope Gannon doesn’t look wrong.
Why can’t it be animated 🤷🏾
Apparently nintendo guessed illumination as section to make animated movies
I wish it was studio gibli
I agree with every point.
Make it a trilogy:
Legend of Zelda: ********* of Wisdom
Legend of Zelda: Trials of Courage
Legend of Zelda: Bastion of Power
First is the lore, second is the adventure, third is the final battle.
I swear, it would really suck if Link didn't talk 😅 talk little, yes, but I bet the only reason he doesn't "talk" is because voice actors need to do extra work for that. He absolutely can talk in game 😅
oscar isaac as ganondorf
The movie should be animated not live action
I disagree
@@YT-Rockin I missed the part where that's my problem
@@scottjackson369 that’s cool bro lol but this film is gonna be awesome :)
@@YT-Rockin Yeah great
I want dinner also some unanswered questions that are explored through future games
7:24 Suuuure, him obsessing over Peach like a NEET nerd stereotype with the power of a king/flame spitting dinosaur is DEFINITELY character depth. Also being very petty against Mario for thinking Mario will take his princess. -_-
8:55 Who's in an uproar about it? Many figured since Mario got a movie, surely Legend Of Zelda would get one. Maybe uproar over the fact it will be live action instead of cartoony.
I dont agree that zelda should companion link, she shold be rescued like in basically 90% of the games
Don’t Care We need Tom Holland as LINK
Can we please just cast someone else other than Tom Overrated Holland. He ain’t going to fit the teen role for much longer, so cast someone else…as long as they’re the right skin tone.
That’s right I’m aware of the black washing habit Hollywood seems to be doing nowadays.
Please make this movie as good at Tears of the Kingdom. Do not screw it up, wonder if Link and Zelda will kiss since they haven't even kissed or shown that they are a couple.
I would like to see them kiss as well! TBH I find it criminal for Nintendo for not given it to us and keep denying Link x Zelda’s relationship.
