In BOTW Thunderblight was definitely harder than monk maz koshia and in totk I do agree with demon king being the hardest even though it isn't that hard, but the Phantom Ganons were REALLY easy compared to the Queen Gibdo
In Phase 3 of TOTK’s final boss, the Light Dragon comes to aid Link in the final battle. I asked myself this question: “did she come back and maybe draconification hasn’t removed everything that is Zelda?” I believed it is her love for her knight is what drove her dragon instinct/consciousness in saving Link from falling and aiding him against Draconified Demon King. We all seen that when her powers were activated when the one she loves is threaten in Breath of the Wild. It could only explains how the Light Dragon was able to carry Link and prevent him for falling.
Tears Ganondorf was absolutely a joy to fight (the Gloom attacks straight up DELETING hearts was genius!), but he's not actually that tough. All of his attacks actually have rather predictable patterns and ways to avoid them. The most difficult thing for me was getting the timing down on the second dodge, because you have to identify which way he's going to swing (either horizontal or vertical) and react in about a split second.
The key to this is how he holds the sword. You'll be able to know what atk he'll use. Though the easiest way to this is just parry so you don't have to guess or make it a pain in the ass

Well... I didn't know anything about it when I fought it but i was wearing rubber armor lvl2 so I'm unshockable I must say it was fairly easy and I beat it first time.
Fun fact about Maz Koshia, if you throw mighty bananas on the ground he will go for them and pick them up. Not only do the yiga do this, but it gives you a chance to attack him
I feel Demise (on Hero Mode) was harder than TOTK Ganondorf. I could only ever beat that guy by rigging the fight with potions. TOTK Ganondorf was an interesting fight by any measure, breaking hearts, flurry rushing me, flurrying my flurry rush, that long health bar, etc. But the fight doesn't make you work for your victory. When TOTK Ganondorf did permanent damage, I knew this was a serious battle I somehow survived with 1 heart and a bunch of hearty fruit I was lucky to even live and I didn’t know there was food that eliminates the gloom effect but it was the best battle
Ganondorf in TotK was easy for me. I played TotK for 420 hours before attempting to beat the game. I had maxed out my hearts and armor and just wanted to get the game over with at that point, so I blazed through the last dungeon, auto built a tank to defeat army without getting hit and relentlessly pounded Ganondorf's forms until he died. I ate strength meals, and didn't bother blocking or doing flurry rushes since I had plenty of hearts to take gloom damage. He went down quick.
❤ Nice video! My top 5 is: 5. Thunderblight Ganon 4. Monk Maz Koshia 3. Onox 2. Ganondorf (TOTK) 1. Thunderbird Note: I got killed a lot of times trying to defeat Onox (in his dragon form) in Oracle of Seasons even having all heart containers and a potion. I also got killed a lot of times by Thunderblight Ganon the first time I played BOTW because it was my first boss (I wanted to visit Gerudos first).
Fun fact about the dark energy balls that TotK ganon fires in phase 3 (I think) if you hit them with a melee weapon they get fired back at him like homing missiles. They don’t do a ton of damage but it’s more on him and less on you.
So Phase 2 of ToTK's final boss is actually a lot easier then people realize, for two reasons. !) The Master Sword never breaks in that fight. 2) You can deflect the gloom darts as I'll call them, but hitting them back with the master sword
LOL the first time i fought it that thing really caught me off guard when it started to move zig zag hit and run, makes me drop every single weapon in my inventory and beat me 7 times. That thing is the reason i perfected my dodging and parry😂
Ngl I had fairly little trouble with Thunder blight as I had collected the full rubber set and while it took a bit I managed to parry the zigzag attack. I feel embarrassed to say that out of all the blights I only had trouble with water blight but maybe that was because I didn't have the best weapon set and in a later play through I found that all the blights are relatively easy if you got the master sword beforehand.
Hot take: I actually enjoyed The Imprisoned fights. I didn't chop off its toes but jumped on to its head from above. That's the much more fun way to fight him. And as for fighting him three times, how many other bosses in video games do you fight three times? I don't hear nearly as many complaints about other bosses that you have to fight three times.
I often found that jumping on The Imprisoned's head usually only works once. As for the toes part, I'm convinced you only need to go with that strategy without the Groosenator once.
@@Chaos89PYeah I think he means just losing them for a second makes you want to cry and not knowing you get them back in the next phase makes it worse.
Top 10 things that is needed to be put in *The Legend of Zelda* movie: 10.) A new version of Hyrule with it's own set of characters 9.) History of Hyrule, Hylia, the 3 Goddesses (Din, Nayru, and Farore), Demon King Demise, and the Triforce 8.) References from the 80's Zelda cartoon show and other previous games 7.) An Original Story build by passionate fans and confident writers 6.) Give Ganondorf more in-depth in to his character 5.) Link's personality and being his own character 4.) The Cast 3.) An epic action-fantasy with a dash of gritty realism 2.) Link and Zelda's relationship 1.) Replacing Tom Holland with a different actor for Link
I dont really think phantom ganon from TOTK is hard the only thing i think is hard is the fact that you cant touch the gloom and his clones also spawn gloom. Edit: ganon just learn flurry rush ngl
Erm, I was 8 years old, I killed Monk Maz Koshia in my own save file, in master mode where he heals if you dont hit him quick enough... I love Zelda 😅.
i fought tear of the kingdom ganondorf, i found if you are very agressive with your attack and keep close combat, he will not use some of his more problematic attack, if you are too passive the copies will keep you from attacking and he will start pulling his worst attack, if this was master mode of BotW, he will also regen health.
Yeah I'm really hoping for at least a master mode update for this game (more damage, health regen, etc) - it will make the bosses and enemy encounters even more interesting
@@cesargomez80 now that I think about it, it'll really be a pain in the ass to deal with. But then I realized Ganondorf will be even more of a pain to deal with, considering that during his third phase he dodges most of your melee attacks including flurry rushes. Now only if he had more attck patterns and hit harder.
@@Nagira_Kannazuki only the first set of attack, if you evade the next attack or try to follow up with your attack, you can land a series of blow, it became a evade and attack exchange.
IMO, Ganondorf in TOTK was not that hard of a boss, but it’s extremely cheap because if you enter the fight with almost all your hearts taken by gloom, you’re stuck with that. I had to go all that way to get to the fight, had all but two hearts taken by gloom, and then I found out the game won’t let you warp out to better prepare. The fight didn’t feel that hard, but I was forced to try and get through it without taking any damage.
I beat TotK ganondorf first try, but I did have prior knowledge, as I don’t actively avoid spoilers, & I bet without that prior knowledge, I would’ve struggled immensely.
I remember liking Demise in Skyward even though it was hard... the animation on the final blow made finishing the battle all the more thrilling... goosebumps!
Let's face the fact. The 2D and handheld Zelda bosses are harder. TOTK Ganondorf was disappointingly easy, but still nicely fun. I just really wish he had a hard mode.
@@octofrog6492 it was dang easy. Unless you played a different game lol. Ganondorf is someone you just walk up to and defeat anytime you feel like. He had good hype and it was a nice fight, but he wasn’t worthy of this list.
Ganon was hard the first time I fought him but the second time I fought him, I beat him with no damage first try and queen gibdo was way harder than ganon for me
@@Nikky-q5t my experience is similar. Ganondorf felt a bit threatening the first time, when he was on his last phase. After that, it’s just been easy but fairly enjoyable melee.
So monk MK was a difficult fight done brilliantly. It wasn’t given stupid mechanics or an unfair advantage, it was a legitimate test to actual skill, no luck involved. And I’d also like to speak for all of us TOTK players when I say we either nearly shat ourselves when ganondorf flurry rushed us.
Moz koshia was cool but I wouldn’t put him as one of the hardest, not even close. I avoided all spoilers for the dlc, I didn’t know a single attack in his move set, and managed to beat him without getting hit. The trials at the start of the dlc gave me way more trouble than he did.
Gman is very strong, and very angry in totk. Makes me wonder if they cut Ganon, pitman or plan, out because it would have been too much. Lttp pm was a bit more then I was ready for, an Gman kicked my bùtt countless times. So back to back? The masochist in me can only imagine.
Haven’t played ToTK yet, nor Zelda II, but the hardest for me personally that I can remember is Vaati. (also never fought the monk from botw, just beat the regular game). I also remember having a hard time with some oracle bosses and ALTP bosses too. And honestly, Majora without fierce diety is extremely hard.
i had most trouble with link to the past bosses. they were stupid hard and if you die, you have to start the dungeon from the start. they used to take me an hour
Not to mention the fact that ToTK Ganon also has the moment of holy shit he has more health. Just watching the bar damn near go off screen scared me the first time.
Not the worst list, but I disagree with some of these. 1.) Thunderblight is easy as long as you keep a cool head. His fast movement is a pattern that always results in a horizontal slash, so it's actually a huge windup and the pillars do nothing if you don't actively stop next to one. 2.) Gyorg really suffers from the unrefined aiming mechanics, but he can be brought down with electro shocks alone, he's not that hard. 3.) If you picked up hearts, swords and armor along the way, Gleeock in level 8 is free. 4.) Mothula is hard, but even more so if you know that hitting him into his blade traps negates damage every time! He should be higher on the list! 5.) The imprisoned is free, all his moves are telegraphed and rather slow. 6.) Moldorm's only move is to push you off, so always charge the spin attack and move towards him to prevent the worst pushing if he gets you towards an edge. Other than that stick to the wall or the center, you'll be fine. 7.) Vaati is tough, but all patterns. Learning to fight him is fun. 8.) Looking forward to Maz Koshia, currently on the way to beating the game. 9.) Would've added King Helmasaur to the list. His size, tail whip and splitting fireballs restrict your movement so much, it's nearly impossible to dodge everything, especially when he speeds up after losing his mask.
In my opinion Ganondorf in Tears of the Kingdom isnt difficult enough, he should be completely invulnerable to Arrows, have more HP and deal more damage, he should be Impossible for noobs and a challenge for both the Average and the Pro player
I said it once and I’ll say it again: TotK Ganondorf is not that hard. He actually gets easier with every phase due to his disappearing hearts shtick in he second phase
I find that a lot of people play zelda games because they want the open or semi-open world games and puzzles, while still not having to be great at combat overall.
My first play through of BOTW I was just winging it lol and I went after Vah Naboris/thunderblight ganon lol it was SOOOO hard but was able to win after line 100 times trying
Thunder light ganon varies on skill. If you can time your parry’s and flurry rushes its easiest blight. And for my 2nd play trough I did fireblight first and got daruks protection with makes it super easy
I thought Ganondorf in ToTK was super easy and I did nothing to cheese the fight (also went in blind), but I also am pretty good at the flurry rush timing, I guess. I think I took like 5 hearts of damage total? And broke one shield. I enjoyed constantly flurry rushing back and forth with him. It felt like dead man’s volley. I’m not too good at video games which is why im surprised this was a hard one for others, idk. Demise was so much harder for me.
I beat tears of the kingdom last night, i had all my hearts at the beginning, litteraly beat him with 1 heart left. Thank god when the 3rd phase of the battle began, the gloom stuff was gone so i could eat my way back to full health. I loved it. He was definitely the hardest boss. I think majoras mask was the 2nd most difficult boss fight though (no fierce diety mask of course)
Moldorm is still gives me minor ptsd lol, despite being relatively simple himself and going back now doesn't seem too bad, I repeated the run up that tower so many times as a kid 😂
Me about to end your bad look on Zelda's aim in TP: In the Horsefight with our Ganondorf, everybody thinks that Zelda has a bad aim. However, what nobody understood: Zelda is supposed to aim in the direction in which the analog stick is showing. So for example: If you are riding a left curve and therefor hold your stick to the left, Zelda will also shoot to the left. Its so frustrating because you need to change directions really often in this fight.
Wow I didn't even know you were supposed to launch yourself onto the imprisoned, I just use the the gust at the bottom of the arena to get the height needed.
If you get the full rubber set its much easier. The helm is obtained by a side quest in the Faron region where you pull an ax that was attracting lightning by the stable. The torso is acquired after completing the Thundra Plateau shrine quest if you locate the chest inside. The leggings are acquired by completing the Song of Storms shrine quest if you locate the chest inside. You can also make it easier by acquiring the master sword before doing any of the divine beasts. And its possible to parry the zigzag attack. I hope this helps and if you already defeated thunder blight I hope this information will be useful should you want to play through the game again
I’ve only fought the imprisoned once so far in my play through. Maybe I was doing it wrong, but I just jumped on his back every time and killed him in no time.
@mojoplays for link to the past you forgot to mention that if you don't at least temper the master sword you have to charge up your sword in order to affect Ganon
Demon king ganondorf is hard but if you fyse a lynel horn to ur master sword it will a lot of damage so if anyone is trying to defeat him if u fought the lynel it will definitely help
Oh yeah, Gleeok was tough to beat while I was still a kid. But once I got older, and I got the game on Game Boy Advance, I got a second chance to beat the whole game, which I did.
I like Gyorg better in 3DS since he doesn't actively swimmed right up to you to swallow you As long as you keep swimming away from him, he'll never swallow you.
Demon Kong Ganondorf can also flurry rush you flurry rush and he can easily break you hylian shield. He is a complete nusiance but i appreciated the boss because of Calamity Ganon
The only boss in the whole of the legend of Zelda series, that I have died to around 20 times is thunderblight Ganon in botw. I have never thought so much about rage quitting before I fought thunderblight Ganon. 💀💀💀💀
Thunderbird was a tough boss sure, but what made him even worse was that you had to go through the entire Great Palace before you could fight him - this was the longest, most grueling, most confusing maze of a dungeon in Zelda 2, and probably the toughest dungeon in ANY Zelda game, by far. Hey, did you know you had limited lives in Zelda 2? Run out, and you have to start the whole dungeon over again. (Also you've probably already collected all the extra lives in the world already, so if you don't beat Thunderbird and Dark Link on your first run, you'll have to try again with three instead of, say, six. Or a dozen. At least Thunderbird stays dead after you kill him, even if you get gameover.) Oh, and good look figuring out HOW to hurt Thunderbird if you didn't know. I honestly don't know how me and my brother puzzled that one out when we were kids. (And they don't tell you the boss's name in game, so don't expect that to be a clue.) Hm. Also there was that annoying jar thing with multiple faces in Oracle of Ages that you had to throw bombs into. That thing was annoying as hell and killed me multiple times last time I played that game.
I spent an eternity getting ancient arrows, you can get them at the Spirit Temple, I think it was, in TOTK. Then you need a few lynel bows; I flattened The Demon King in less than ten minutes, and I’m the most rubbish fighter ever.😂
King Gleeo in TOTK deserves to be in the top 10 I think. If you're not prepared enough for the fight, you'll get toasted before even being able to deal good damage. Not to mention his stupid 2nd phase where he starts spamming air attacks
For me the currently hardest bosses were Demise both imprisoned and unsealed final Girahim and some of the other bosses from skyward sword Ganondorf tears of the kingdom before he turned into a dragon wind and water blight Ganon Mucktorock Queen Gibdo Moragia Sluge like Kohga totk Seized Construct basically any Gleeok in totk the angler fish from awakening. to name a few
I remember.asking my brother if he thought i would beat dorf after a couple hours of failing, and he said no, and i beat him that exact try and yelled "NON-BELIEVER!!!"
Foe totk ganondorf I had lots of stamina potions , bomb arrows , rocket shields and x5 savage lynel bows… essentially bombarded him with Bomb arrows from way high up. Mince meat in 2 mins.
My first time playing BOTW I did thunderblight first, I had no idea he was the hardest one to beat! I spent hours on that fight, completely discouraged for the rest of the game. Finally decided to do windblight next....🤣 Defeated first time around. Rest of the game went fine after that, all enemies felt easy after thunderblight!🤣🤣
Why do people keep saying "crouch" in the corner against Dark Link? Do people assue that you have to hit him low since he comes at you with his shield high up? I've tried both a few times, and I think it's easier to just stand in the corner. It's easier to hit him and he doesn't hit you as often. Also, the reflect magic helps against Thunderbird, since it gives you the ability to block his fireballs with your shield. Even if you should try do avoid them, there's a good chance the fireballs will hit your shield instead of taking damage away from you if you get hit.

I feel embarrassed to say that out of all the blights I only had trouble with water blight but maybe that was because I didn't have the best weapon set and in a later play through I found that all the blights are relatively easy if you got the master sword beforehand.
Thunderblight was definitely harder than Demon King.
I actually loved Skyward Sword. That game is super underrated
@@DaddyGorilla37 Agreed
Glopper Blooper in Super Mario Sunshine is fought 3 times
Ganondorf in totk removes your hearts PERMANENTLY in battle, gratned the game ends after victory but its still very painfull. Each heart was 4 shrines
You get all your lost hearts back during the final phase.
@@Chaos89P the final phase was so disappointing. At least they could have Gannon dragon do a bite attack where he lunges and swallows you like a frox
@@Chaos89PYeah I think he means just losing them for a second makes you want to cry and not knowing you get them back in the next phase makes it worse.
Top 10 things that is needed to be put in *The Legend of Zelda* movie:
10.) A new version of Hyrule with it's own set of characters
9.) History of Hyrule, Hylia, the 3 Goddesses (Din, Nayru, and Farore), Demon King Demise, and the Triforce
8.) References from the 80's Zelda cartoon show and other previous games
7.) An Original Story build by passionate fans and confident writers
6.) Give Ganondorf more in-depth in to his character
5.) Link's personality and being his own character
4.) The Cast
3.) An epic action-fantasy with a dash of gritty realism
2.) Link and Zelda's relationship
1.) Replacing Tom Holland with a different actor for Link
Well excuse me princess but I don’t think you’re getting number 8
If they made a Zelda movie right after lord of the rings Orlando Bloom might've been a good link.
@@urbs1177 Sadly Orlando Bloom is not as young as he use to be. We need an unfamiliar/young talented actor to play as Link.
So glad Oracle of Seasons is getting some love, that game tormented me as a child. The puzzles were way less intuitive than the n64 games too, imo
i fought tear of the kingdom ganondorf, i found if you are very agressive with your attack and keep close combat, he will not use some of his more problematic attack, if you are too passive the copies will keep you from attacking and he will start pulling his worst attack, if this was master mode of BotW, he will also regen health.
Yeah I'm really hoping for at least a master mode update for this game (more damage, health regen, etc) - it will make the bosses and enemy encounters even more interesting
imagine master mode Queen Gibdo.... terrifying
@@Nagira_Kannazuki the water temple octupus, that one will be hell to kill it since it ran away alot and the sheer amount of mud it spew.
The fight didn’t feel that hard, but I was forced to try and get through it without taking any damage.
for ganondorf totk it was one of the most fun bossfights ive ever done, I went in with only 10 hearts and 4 extra stamina charges and it was a joyride
I beat TotK ganondorf first try, but I did have prior knowledge, as I don’t actively avoid spoilers, & I bet without that prior knowledge, I would’ve struggled immensely.
After playing Spirit Tracks, I feel Princess Zelda deserve to be a playable character for future Zelda games.
This man predicted the future, you have my respect good sir
I remember liking Demise in Skyward even though it was hard... the animation on the final blow made finishing the battle all the more thrilling... goosebumps!
Ganondorf TOTK was easy. It was queen gibdo who got me.
Let's face the fact. The 2D and handheld Zelda bosses are harder. TOTK Ganondorf was disappointingly easy, but still nicely fun. I just really wish he had a hard mode.
Wdym it was easy
A little surprised that queen gibdo isn't here.
Yep, I always knew Ganondorf from *Tears of the Kingdom* game was Super Tough and Hard to beat.
I beat ganondorf first try with 11 hearts and no food and unfused master sword
Not to mention the fact that ToTK Ganon also has the moment of holy shit he has more health. Just watching the bar damn near go off screen scared me the first time.
The second phase of TOTK Ganondorf was really scary the first time I faced him. I mean, just look at that health bar!
7:47 fun fact! Zelda actually aims where your analog stick it pointed when shes firing arrows!
And have more attack patterns
I said it once and I’ll say it again: TotK Ganondorf is not that hard. He actually gets easier with every phase due to his disappearing hearts shtick in he second phase
Mothula: "Hahaha try to hit me while dodging my attacks and the spike."
Link: * releases the bee*
I have had to save state scum during the vati fight. That fight was kicking my ass
I feel like all the older games like Zelda 1 and 2 had the hardest especially 2 i have ptsd from shadow link
Honestly, I have a top 2. Ganon from Zelda 1, (because turning invisible is SO unfair), and Thunderbird from Adventure of Link.
Great video!
Ocarina of Time is so good. The ending made me cry. Nobody knows that link saved Hyrule!
I was wondering if Tears Ganon would be top (or at least high) on the list cause I felt like that was a rough fight but wasn't sure if it was just me.
I would say that Queen Gibson was hard for me
Ganondorf is actually not hard to beat. When he flurry rushes to attack you, you have to parry with your shield.
Thunderblight... im still trying to defeat that one.
I hope this helps and if you already defeated thunder blight I hope this information will be useful should you want to play through the game again
thank you very much for your help. i was able to finally defeat him and beat the game@@AnIdiotOnTheInterwebs
I’ve only fought the imprisoned once so far in my play through. Maybe I was doing it wrong, but I just jumped on his back every time and killed him in no time.
The final boss of link’s awakening is a cheat answer here but facing every single dungeon boss again consecutively is ROUGH
I like Gyorg better in 3DS since he doesn't actively swimmed right up to you to swallow you
As long as you keep swimming away from him, he'll never swallow you.
I'm a little past half and I don't see thunderblight Ganon yet, he is the most aggravating boss I think in all on gaming
Demon Kong Ganondorf can also flurry rush you flurry rush and he can easily break you hylian shield. He is a complete nusiance but i appreciated the boss because of Calamity Ganon
The thunderbird gave me so much trouble
If we are being honest, this entire list should be almost all Zelda 1 and Zelda 2 bosses.
I remember defeating the Phantom Ganons in Hyrule Castle with half a heart for my brother.😭
I had trouble with puppet Gannon’s worm in Wind Waker.
Thunderblight ALWAYS gave me a good fight.
Or a dozen. At least Thunderbird stays dead after you kill him, even if you get gameover.)
Oh, and good look figuring out HOW to hurt Thunderbird if you didn't know. I honestly don't know how me and my brother puzzled that one out when we were kids. (And they don't tell you the boss's name in game, so don't expect that to be a clue.)
Hm. Also there was that annoying jar thing with multiple faces in Oracle of Ages that you had to throw bombs into. That thing was annoying as hell and killed me multiple times last time I played that game.
All honesty? The master Kogha boss in botw, although I only died from being distracted of his muscles
Totk ganondorf is definitely the hardest challenge I have ever faced in ANY, and I insist on ANY, video game.
Where's Majora's mask?
Yeah, if you did that without Fierce Deity, it was quite difficult.
Of the three fight you have with the imprisoned I personally find the second battle the hardest of the three.
I remember having a tough time with phantom Ganon in oot 😅
⬇if you ran out of arrows while fighting Queen Gibdo
I completed the floating colosseum so many times I had like, 200 arrows 🗿
I remember.asking my brother if he thought i would beat dorf after a couple hours of failing, and he said no, and i beat him that exact try and yelled "NON-BELIEVER!!!"
No bosses from OOT??? They should have no bosses from Twilight Princess, on this list- that is the easiest (and best) Zelda title.
I tried doing thunderblight first when botw first came out and I raged quit for two years lolol
The health bar going higher for demon king ganondorf and flurry rushing you😧
7:22 blade ball moment lol
Foe totk ganondorf I had lots of stamina potions , bomb arrows , rocket shields and x5 savage lynel bows… essentially bombarded him with Bomb arrows from way high up. Mince meat in 2 mins.
ToTK Ganondorf goes hard asf because your heart stops the moment he dodges your flurry rush bruh
Ganondorf 3rd phase TP Zelda’s aim is based off of where you are aiming the either the left or right stick, I dont exactly remember 7:43
Yeah I was about to comment nah it’s you😂
Genuinely I have to say that the hardest Zelda boss that I fought was Demise since I got to him in less than one day 😅
My first time playing BOTW I did thunderblight first, I had no idea he was the hardest one to beat! I spent hours on that fight, completely discouraged for the rest of the game. Finally decided to do windblight next....🤣 Defeated first time around. Rest of the game went fine after that, all enemies felt easy after thunderblight!🤣🤣
I found that the 2D bosses were largely MUCH tougher than the 3D ones.
