“And for some reason I just looked down for ages. I don’t know what’s going on here…” 🤣🤣🤣 Always giving me a good laugh! IWe all have moments we do something and have no idea what/why we are doing it 😂
Same I was baking waiting on Robert to advise me on what I screw up. 😂I look at screen at he is looking down and I was looking like I really missed what’s going on. 🖤💕🏳️🌈
Yes! More of this, please! Sometimes I think I know the best practices but there's nothing like a side-by-side comparison. Can we do how to pick eyeshadow colors using color theory next?
Can you do an updated video for mature/textured skin application techniques and best products/types? Makeup offerings are ever changing and I feel like I miss things that could help me.
I like how you didn’t call the left side altogether WRONG, rather showed on the right side what may be a better technique. For example, I am an MUA that loves the 2015 brow on myself. No it does not look natural, but I like it on my own face. However, I know that is not the trend and when I work on a client I listen to what they want and they are not too shy to tell me that they want a natural looking modern brow unlike mine. I know it’s not personal…some people prefer one way over another. Anyway, I love your videos and how respectful you are to everyone even when you are providing feedback.
Hey Robert, this doesn't have anything to do with the video, but you showed up in my dream last night 😅 Basically, I was getting married, but my bridal party sabotaged _everything._ Like, pig's blood on my dress, vinegar makeup wipes, everything. The venue's dressing room attendant kicked out my bridal party and called a friend to save my hair, who called her friend to save my dress, etc. and you showed up to save my makeup. Needless to say, you did a fantastic job 💕 Nothing went the way I expected (I wasn't even wearing white!) but dream-me looked absolutely gorgeous.
As a 53 yr old who is aging naturally, I cannot overemphasize the point on building coverage slowly. I can even tell if I overapply my tinted moisturizer by a bit. Aging skin loves a light hand, esp if you'll be adding blush, bronzer, & highlighter.
So true! I’m in my mid 30’s and the older I get the less makeup my skin can handle. I think my preferences have changed over the years as well. I can’t use any “regular” foundations, even ones I used to like are too much and exaggerate what I am ultimately trying to cover. Tinted moisturizer is where it’s at 😂😊
I remember an illamasaqua employee once trying to upsell me products by saying I needed to create a neopolitan look with contour, blush and highlighter. Needless to say, yours looks better!
@@nurseaefake pencil mustaches? I kid, but really, if there can be fake lashes that are as subtle as those whispies, you'd think there could be fake brows. I'd happily give you so of mine, I have brows for 2...
One of the best UK exports calling out the makeup techniques of the UK! Brilliant video. I dob't wear lashes but the difference in the two sides is incredible!
I started putting my skincare onto a silicone scrub brush and then applying it to my face. It’s crazy how much I can make my products stretch this way and I can gently massage them in. Plus it’s easy to clean between products and uses.
Thank you so much Robert! I have a little story about my makeup journey. I always felt the need to use every product available to me and I followed tutorials and applied these products like that person. I never thought of my own face shape. I got very frustrated with contour, it never looked good on me and I looked dirty. I just stopped using it completely and started "contouring" my face with blush. LIFE CHANGING! It suits my skin tone so much better and I look natural and youthful. I guess my point is : Don't feel like you have to use every single category of product out there. Sometimes, it's just not for you and that's okay!
Other than I don’t wear false lashes , it’s nice to know I’m doing all these steps relatively correct , and I use the same glow recipe everyday!! Thanks Robert once again for a great video!!
Huzzah! One million followers!!! Last time I was here it was alllllmost there. Congrats Robert!! You deserve it!! You and Johnny Ross are my most loved and trusted makeup TH-camrs! Also, I'm super grateful for you introducing me to the Sigma eye primer. I have used Urban Decay primer potion, too faced eye primer, and P. Louise eye primer and the Sigma just works the best and least amount of creasing on my rapidly aging eyelid skin 😅 (approaching 40 faster than I am comfortable with!)
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! This is a WONDERFUL video and I love that you included the close up, phone footage to show a more realistic view of the makeup. Much love from Orlando!
Thank you so much for tips! I've waited for ages Sigma Beauty Eye Primer in Italy and, I can say it's an absolute game changer. Never really able to blend out a decent smokey, and now: bunch of compliments for my makeup.
This is such a great video! ❤ your tips always help me and have definitely made me realize less is more and now my makeup looks so much better and lasts longer! 🖤🖤🖤
The boxy brow is a bit cartoonish. I think every animator in the 90s gave male characters the box brow. 😄 It was really great to connect with the basics again. Thank you so much for always being so consistently helpful. 🖤👻
I’ve never done any of these “donts” in my life. Although when I started getting into makeup, I also started watching TH-cam tutorials so I wouldn’t look like that! Good video.
My mom had a Mary Kay party and I was told to put concealer on my lids and lips to make sure everything stayed longer. It never did. I was 13 and trusted the adults, so I thought something was wrong with my skin if it worked for everyone else. Lol.
Perfect video for highlighting what we might be doing wrong! It’s so easy to get caught up in makeup trends and we need Robert to shake us up and bring us back to reality lol I would love more of this content. Heck I love any content you put out 🖤🖤🖤
The eyebrows and concealer is definitely something I'm taking forward! Also I don't know why people use so much foundation! One pump is usually enough, especially considering how expensive foundation is nowadays!
Went away last weekend and forgot my eye primer so used concealer and that proved to me how much better the primer is. Nyx do a great cheap one but my eyes get irritated by it. I'm using Beauty Bay's one at the moment which has great colour payoff and doesn't irritate my eyes. Elf's eye primer is nowhere near as good as either of those, eyeshadow looked patchy and not as vivid
I haven't been super into wearing makeup since 2016 beauty youtube and I'm just Si glad you do these videos ❤ I wanna do my makeup more often but definitely am not a fan of all the 'tips' from that Era lol
Have you done a video about wedding makeup, I'm fully confident in doing my own wedding makeup but want to know if there's any tips or tricks that may help for pictures and stuff

I like that your “how to” videos aren’t a half hour long. They’re short, sweet, and to the point.
Yes! More of this, please! Sometimes I think I know the best practices but there's nothing like a side-by-side comparison. Can we do how to pick eyeshadow colors using color theory next?
Yes! This video and the reaction video he just released both taught me a lot of things that I’d never picked up on before!

Voice Over Robert and Camera Pout Robert are my favorite Roberts.

that part about highlighter not always being in a shape of line - gamechanger
I love watching Robert's talent.❤
Literally nothing has improved my makeup more than watching your videos 💜 eternally grateful
This is so real!
For real. Hard to believe I didn't learn "proper eyeshadow" techniques til 52, but pretty impressed with how far I've come in 16 months!
I can watch your makeup tutorials for ages!! I learn so much every time❤

Nice to have a new video on this Labor Day holiday. Thank you.
I laughed out loud at "Neapolitan ice cream!" Love it. 😂😂😂

Omg. Me too. It was sooo bad.
I wish they would come out with a product for us ladies that have little or no brows

Da eyes looked totally different 💯
True that, the X side looked quite literally like the "m to the b" trend from tiktok

Wait what??? Like a scrub brush designed for makeup? Or something for the kitchen?
I use these for toner products as well!
Applying small amounts of products and taking time to layer them is key. Thank you, Rob 💕💕💕💕

Oh, wow! This was really educational! Thank you very much! :D
Really clear comparisons! Thank you! The pigment saturation difference was very surprising to me.
I know these videos don’t do as well as his other content so it’s so nice to see him still doing them! ❤ I love them
Idk why it’s so obvious about highlight not needing to be in a line… but I never realised until now 🤣 this is helpful thank you so much
I love when you do tutorials, you're an amazing teacher and I always learn something new 😊
I love that you have a full look but it doesn’t have a thousand steps. 💜🖤
"For some reason i just looked down for ages." Ded.
I am definitely going to be using these tips 😅
Yay! I was just thinking it had been a while since we got a tutorial 😊. BTW, I love the term "best practice" for the "good" side, very professional 💜

Thank you for the tips! They are super helpful! I can hardly wait to try these tips!
Wish you would have done liner do and donts. I recently bought a rare beauty liner and I’m experimenting with lining my eyes and it’s hard 😆

The lash tip was great!! But I've been using your tips for ages.
Thank you about the tip for the lashes! I have hooded eyes
super helpful, congrats on 1m x
Any recommendations for eye primer? I have a tendency to dry skin, and find my eyeshadow creases quite easily
Which eyeshadow primer did you use or do you recommend? I’ve been convinced to stop using concealer as an eyeshadow base now 😂xxx
I was watching the video yesterday that you made a year ago that was like this! I’m glad to see an updated version 😊
This was very helpfull, i always struggle with the bronzer and blush part.
I love watching your tutorials. Can you do an eyebrow one for people with light, thin eyebrows? Please? ❤
Love thisss
Fills in brow.... suddenly you and James are the same person! 😂
In the summer time I don't use much foundation and I find using my hand to apply and then my bush to even it out.
Same. I like to use my Nars tinted moisturiser in the summer and just a touch of concealer... 😊💜💜💜
