    Solid advice, as always.
    Retired life in Thailand can be great if:
    1. You find a gem of a woman who has an OK job, and a non-demanding family.
    2. You're sensibly funded.
    3. You're not drinking like it's a holiday.
    4. You're exercising body and mind.
    5. You have an enjoyable side-hustle that keeps your mind sharp, and offsets daily expenses.
    6. You cultivate a decent network of helpful friends that have similar traits.
    Just my perspective, and I'm by no means perfect.

    Daz said she was a stunner a 10+ love the way you narrate the stories. I have learned so much from watching your videos. I will be in Thailand 🇹🇭 in the 2nd quarter of 2023. I’m the soft hearted type and I can’t lie up until I found your videos was thinking that maybe 🤔 I could pull a Thai lady out of the bar. Man I was terribly mistaken. You’re doing gods work for us there in Pattaya and I now will have a different mindset coming to Thailand.

    You are the Pattaya Sensei!!! There is much for me to learn before I get to Pattaya/South East Asia in the next iteration of my life...it shocks me how Thai ladies can be so charming and so ruthless at the same time. They play for keeps, and we must do so as well. Looking forward to upcoming videos!

    Well done again Daz another great one . I think the main lesson any of us can take out of the last 2 vlogs is "DON'T TAKE A BAR GIRL AS A GIRLFRIEND ".
    I myself on my first trip had 2 bar girls ask me to be their boyfriend which I turned down . One of them asked me straight out in the Bar, which I politely replied , "I didn't come here for that " . I think I upset her but that's business for her and I was on holiday . I just wanted some fun .

    • @Sven911
      @Sven911 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I suspect when Pattaya begins to open up to mass tourism and bars begin to reopen, we're going to see more of this aggressiveness of "be my boyfriend", than ever before. The ladies are going to be quite desperate, I should think.

    This is the 2nd video I watched and you are 100% on point. If one is looking for a wife, stick with the over 30s with a regular job, preferably elsewhere in Thailand, even if the girl doesn't work in the industry, she is too close to it. If the plan is a wife, use the same process as you are hiring someone for a job, check her resume, make sure she never worked in the business, also check her family cause you are married to them, if they have financial problems, you also have them, if there is drama, like a demanding mom, you will have problems. IMO, the best wives have a career(not on a bar of course) and you want to keep her on her career, support her professional life and you got yourself a winner.

    Thank you Daz for a real "down to earth" view on life in Pattaya for a older expat. I really am learning a great deal about the way we will be treated and what roll we play in the game of chance that is relationships in Pattaya. Truthfully it is a bit daunting to me. Surrounded by professional "cash extractors" working independently or in concert to relieve me of my funds. I have some experience with similar life in the Philippines but filipinas can't compare to these Thai professionals!!!! Thank you for you great content and words of wisdom. Be Happy Be Safe.
