I’m so very fortunate to meet people like Gary. He's an Expat that's so full of life and taking advantage of every moment. I truly enjoyed interviewing Gary and producing this version of *"Everybody has a Story"* . Please let me know what you think? I'm open to critical feedback and suggestions to making better videos. Additionally, I'm looking for ideas for videos. Lastly, if you would like to be interviewed or know of interesting person to interview please let me know. Thank you so much for coming along. Tom
Loved the interview, I'm Australian too , I'm 66 and recently separated after a 40 year marriage. Once the property settlement has been done, I will know where I stand financially. I think the 3 month trial sounds about right to decide if Pattaya is more than my holiday place once a year. I really enjoyed the chat and it has helped me to think ahead for my remaining years to have fun . I love live bands too and company to go. Thanks again , Graeme from Sydney
Excellent I hope your future is grand. I know starting over is a massive step but the thing to remember is you have to take care of yourself and try to make your life the best it possibly can be. Good luck and thank you for the comment.
For me, I'm pretty sure of settling in Wongamat already if I decide to move to Thailand. The place is quiet but close to where the action is. It's got no tsunami unlike Phuket and no flooding unlike central Pattaya.
I think it was a terrific interview! Good, positive interaction between host and guest. So many interviewers don’t let their guests speak enough. Sure, as host you need to keep things on track, but so many interviewers tend to ‘steal the show.’ Not so here. Very well done!
It is concern -- -1st way lose weight is to way in the morning every day! Keep active and no pizza till u drop 20lb! Sugars got to go and sugary fruits. Get in a routine and u'll drop 40lbs!

Hey Tom....enjoy your stuff. Question...I see the way the wiring is on the poles in Pattaya. definitely not the standards like what im used to seeing here in New York State. Do you have power outages often in your condo or the surrounding areas? Thanks
The overhead wiring has always been unique. Someday I'll end up doing a video just on that. As far as outages are concerned in all honesty, we very seldom have a problem.
@@MargaritasinParadise Yes hopefully they remove the old unused cables. I also like modern resorts like The Palm where it's like my subdivision here in States, all underground. Very clean. Maybe you can show it one day.

Thank u for a great video. but I was a bit dissapointet of not to be able to hear the fully answers, becouse the way you cuttet Your video. (just to meke it better next time.) for eksempel, i did't understod if he used a company to get his retairment visa or he did it by himself. looking forward for more videos
I really appreciate the critical feedback. I think Gary relies on a private individual to take care of his visa issues. He talked about doing everything himself but I think, he has a retired friend from immigration help him out. Most of my friends, use a visa agent. I do have 3 friends that do everything themselves. it's basically a toss up. You have to decide if your time is valuable enough that waiting or running around completing immigration task are worth it.
Great stuff mate !! I was just thinking about the title of your channel,it should be margaritas in pattaya !! It might help with the search results too.keep up the good videos and best of luck pal 👍
I'm curious about a comment like this? Does it give you a personal satisfaction to tell a overweight person, they're overweight? Or do you think a overweight person doesn't know they're already overweight? I think most overweight people don't like being overweight and the last thing they want to hear is somebody judging them based on their weight especially in a public forum.
@@MargaritasinParadise If I may pitch in, I think it's more of the second. When I got overweight I was not noticing it because it was gradual until I had a reunion with friends I've not seen and someone told me something similar and that's when it struck me. I tried to lose some after that and it did made me feel better on my knees and ankle (which had an injury when I was younger). The bit of loss in weight felt good on my ankle.
@@bigradwolf5001I agree, heck I’m thin man with a six pack inside my head. I absolutely hate being overweight. But I would never tell anybody that they needed to lose weight on a public forum because I wouldn’t want them to feel bad. I guess not knowing the person and not knowing the whole story, I don’t want to judge somebody based on perception.
I assume, you're talking about "Every Man Has a Story"? That's an awesome channel & I even subscribe to it. I definitely took his idea and made it better. I changed 2 words in the title, made "Everybody has a Story", then I completely changed the interview format, including going with can questions and letting it flow better. I know, I don't owe you an explanation. But, this a basic interview technique that's been used on many channels. I do appreciate your comment though and always look for critical feedback. I hope your day is great.
Great interview with your Aussie guest. You guys definitely give great inspiration for those of us looking to travel and finding a new place to consider retiring in. Keep up your great informative videos.

I am not interested in bars or alcohol or girls so I think I can live quite comfortably in Jomtien or Bangkok for $2,000 usd a month
I've never tried Bangkok but on $2K month you should live very good in Thailand.

I can't imagine but you're definitely right.
Expat ....immigrant same thing
Yes you're right. I'm not sure where the expat term came from but it's definitely used universally.

Tom is much better as an interviewer as he asks all the questions and listens rather than interject his opinions or humble brag like others
