    I'm over in 2 weeks. Cant wait. First went to Pattaya when I was 20. 15 years later I'm heading back. People complaining about prices etc. need to get over it. Its the same the world over. Thailand is still amazing value compared to our daily living costs in the west.

      @dvmartel1 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Prices lol, like where on earth can you walk into a bar knowing the following: There will a number of girls quite happy to immediately down five shots of tequila, entertain, laugh and do the naughty upstairs for $75, all in everything. Either 6 and pothole, certainly under $100.

      That binary comparison of 'still cheaper compared to the rest' is what will eventually ruin it completely. In a country where the median salary is a fraction of the west, girls cannot justify asking 5,000 baht for a night's company. When people are totally priced out and 'entertainment' in Thailand is indistinguishable from "the west", the penny will finally drop.

Always nice to listen to your stories and get a feeling for the essentials. Your story is a very interesting one. I agree 100% with your experience regarding the girl's salaries. It's a tendency that I've been watching for the past let's say 25 years. In early years when salaries were very small, bar girls all around used to ask the customer to barfine them. That doesn't happen very often anymore unless you find a bar, club where salaries are still low.

    As soon as you said 30k I knew where that was going and the obvious affect it would have on staff 'morale' when it came to looking after customers ( likely in all ways, not just the ST/ LT side of things).
    I imagine that some of these new clubs have felt they had to do this to get the girls to come work there as there has been a shortage compared to pre-coof times but it's a road to nowhere. The club isn't gonna get the boots through the door & when they do then those people will be short lived. Yes they'll likely make some bank off the newbies but word get's around. All that needs to happen is one of those sets of lads needs to be sat in a bar and they get chatting with others. Full of stories of the new friend they made & what they thought were great prices just for the other set of blokes to tell them they paid through the nose. Right there you've not only lost any repeat business but sure as hell those boys are gonna tell everyone they meet to avoid XYZ club & they won't stop telling everyone they meet till they go home ensuring 20, 30, 50, 100 guys never walk through the door. Now those girls might like being able to sit on their asses & play on their phones but that doesn't pay the bills for the venue which is already forking out +100k in salary to the girls a week that other places don't have as an overhead.

      @@everythingPattaya Taking all of the above into account (and all not mentioned such as the pandemic, the shortage of girls, scarcity of visiting men, and world wide price increases affecting spendable finances), as well as your fact reporting in your excellent previous videos, there is one more factor or component growing as an inflationary effect increasing all of this (bar fines, ST-LT, Freelancers, etc.), which are two types of Asian men---Chinese and Indian. The Chinese are overly concerned with "saving face" which avoids haggling, and budget conscious Indians (who may opt for less expensive HE massages) visiting on an employer paid-for trip complete with planned itineraries. Just a thought.

    Been here three weeks now. My observations are: Walking Street Pin-Up is best but get there early because it's very popular with Koreans. Damned expensive but the girls are mostly mint. Outside of a few others Walking Street is a waste of time, (the Indians stink), only been there twice, try Soi 6 better beer prices but I prefer LK metro overall. Good value, girls not too pushy, Kink & Showgirls my personal favorites, at Kink you continue in the upstairs lounge after 2am for a giggle. Soi Boomerang BJ bars worth a visit, as are Soi Bonkot as per the previous video. Also worth a crawl along those crappy bars on Baukeuw, where you will find a little gem in every one. General tip: one drink and move on if there's nothing interesting. Be proactive. Good fishing.

      Depends where you get on, if you get on at south bound side of 2nd road where they queue up at the traffic lights, then it's 1 payment, otherwise, from central Pattaya, yes it's 2 payments.

    To Get Through the Airport you must State on the Immigration Card where you are Staying, I always Put The Amari Hotel where i first Stayed in 2001 then i would get the Taxi to the area i wish to visit then take a Side Street away from the main Area and find a Budget or Guest House and book in for 2 Days. If all was good i would Work out a Deal for the rest of the Stay if not you have more time to find Somewhere Else

    Very informative. Thank you. I am going to add that many of us come to Pattaya to golf (there are 25 golf courses) and to sail (the Ocean Marina is the largest marina in Asia) so staying on the southern Dark Side / Jomtien / South Pratumnak is a good choice. As well, there are some bars (such as Fraser's) where a newby can get a lot of sage advice. And, it is not very far from the entertainment district. One last point: I am not particularly adventuresome so I tend to frequent a few "safe" bars. For example, "Windmill" is certainly hands on but few (virtually none) of the girls speak English and the security personnel can get very assertive!!! On the other hand, in this video, you went by Le Pub on Soi Diamond where most of the girls can speak at least a little English (some a lot) and it is extremely relaxed for the most part.

    I predict that at some point in the future, the Pattaya Chamber of Commerce/Business Consortium, will be creating a seat for “Daz” at the head of the table.

    The warning Klaxon immediately sounds when anyone attempts to meet outside the rental office. That kind of scam has been used with rental properties in California posted on Craig's List as well. Very common scam I imagine all over the world.
