My story: Been 3 times in Pattaya: 2 times I wasn't emotionally evolved I was in butterfly mode with a different girl everyday. Stupid me got emotionally involved on the 3rd trip despite having set clear boundaries in my mind.. On that 3rd trip I met a bar lady who never ever asked me to pay barfines or ST/LT or ring the bell. Her obsession was all about eating and occasionally going to nightclubs at my expenses obviously . She never asked for a necklace nor going for shopping. When I started to feel emotionally attached I tried to ditch her to make things less emotionally difficult (at this point she was living with me) but I couldn't. She was silently crying and packing her stuff without a word. I really felt bad about making her feel that way so I apologized and asked her to stay. We both cried like idiots. Then daily life carried on where I'd take my girls to local restaurants and/or nightclub until it was time for me to come back home. Having to go back home litterally broke my heart and her heart too. Today I still feel miserable, I miss her. Part of my mind knows it's a bar girl but I can't help thinking she genuinely enjoyed being with me. Also that girl was in fact a ladyboy. My first one. This is my experience.
Ok, tips for the newbies. Yes, this is going to be long. Pattaya will blow your mind if you aren't use to attention from the ladies. Like he said, they know how to work you like pros. First off, tell nobody your business. My cover story is "I've saved for an entire 2 years to come here and I'm a low level manager in retail." Never act like you have a dime to your name. Don't trust anyone. Farang can hustle you just as much as locals. Carry ONLY your daily limit budget for FUN.....nothing more but 1000 bhat "emergency money" tucked somewhere safe. Carry a business card of your hotel. I got lost miles away and it saved my butt. Plan how much "fun" you want to have and budget accordingly. Trust me, don't bring more than your daily budget. One night without self control can drain half you vacation budget if you don't know what you are doing or can't handle your drinking while caught up in the excitement. I've seen it happen to newbies. Don't touch the fucking bell!! I've done it once............or at least I think I did. Be careful. Keep your drinking costs down by ordering a Long Island Ice Tea. They are strong and just a beer will keep you going, perhaps, for 3 hours. But, I'm a lightweight as I don't drink at home. PAY FOR ONE DRINK AT A TIME. Don't carry a bin tab!! Will keep you safe from being overcharged. I live in a city that have the most strip clubs in the US. Clubs were ALL nude filled with college kids. Pattaya really didn't do much for me because I've been there, done that, and even managed a strip club for a few months. Drama!! DON'T date a bar girl....don't be a "Captain Save a Whore" and know you are in a "movie". Just enjoy the show. Rule #1....don't get involved with ANY drama. I've seen a bottle get busted over a guy's head because the Farang had a big mouth and went after a Thai guy like a fool. Thai people are like one giant family. Mess with one and might as well be taking on the entire city. Mess around and they will come out of the woodwork. Get in trouble with the law and they will always side with the Thai. Be a "skippy" on a girl or treat her with disrespect and for 500 bhat, the girl will have motobike taxis guys come kick your ass or even kill you. I had a freelancer tell me that and I believe her. Not all how jump in Pattaya are committing suicide. Just a thought. Just enjoy the show. Don't be loud. Be mellow. Wear a shirt at all times, and really important is learn the basic of Thai language. Use it and they will think that isn't your first trip and they won't mess with you as much. Girls will say, "why you know Thai? You have Thai wife?" Then say, "Mai tam a da" and just smile and have fun with the response. Best if you learn from the girls from Isaan their local language basics. Learn how to say "Hello" in Isaan. Sa bai dee bo. If you are asked your response is "bo". Use it! This will make it clear they know you aren't a newbie. The "massat" girls will bug you. If you want to be left alone just say "Sa wad dee khap" or the other and keep walking. Trust me, they will think you have a Thai wife and not push things further. Walk like you own the place or you will have girls pulling you to go into every bar around. If you get your junk grabbed by a ladyboy, don't freak out, just tell her you like girls way too much. The best conversations I have had were with lady boys. Strange to be talking to a guy, dressed like a woman, checking out other girls walk by and her saying, "nice ass". 555 And yes.......relations with a girl will seem so natural. No shame. Don't act shy....own what you are doing or you might get hustled. The first time you go for a massage and are specific with what kind of happy ending you want, and tell her at the desk will be the strangest experience of your life!! Be confident and have fun with it. I prefer massages with an ending over taking a girl. No drama, no chance of stuff getting stolen in your Hotel etc and it's cheaper. Book a day where you get 5 massages..it's heaven. Get a soapy massage!! Ask the girl to shake your hand as hard as she can. You will get an idea of how the massage will really be. If you meet a girl that gives good service then you can make her a regular. Consider seriously going to a legit massage place with real Thai massages with an honest cute good girl. Just be sure she hasn't worked in a bar. They are a good option for a great regular GF material and easy to meet and in a short time you will know you have chemistry while getting hands on. If she pats your face gently, she likes you. If you date her you will always get free massages. I have 3 in 3 cities that I frequent. You should too!! Be sure to tip them....200 bhat is average. After a massage you might get asked "you want gf"? She's looking for LT. If you like her ask for ST about 9pm. She will most likely stay all night anyway especially if you have a comfortable bed......yes, Thai people love to sleep. And yes, you will get coffee made for you in the AM if you tell them you like coffee. 2 creams 3 sugars khap. When you first meet a lady and if she likes you, she will treat you like a BF. She will look after you. Get drunk and she will make sure you get home and in bed safely. Tell them UP FRONT after you have chatted her up exactly what you are looking for and offer her YOUR price. Barter UP not down. Expect to buy "gifts" but limit it to only one if you take her for a day. Your rules so make them clear. Never take her to a mall. He's right, one day max!! With so many options, why not. Get a copy of HER id at your hotel or before you take her LT for a few days if that's your choice. Doing this alone will keep her from any problems and drama happens. If you take her to another city, be prepared to get her on a plane if she acts up. This is your vacation don't let any drama queen ruin it. Remember, trust nobody and try to stay away from the ladies on Beach Road. There is a reason why she is on the street. Might have an STD or got caught at a reg bar scamming a customer. Buyer beware!! Let the Indians hunt in packs for them. Don't be THAT group of guys!! Since you WILL be back as I have 10 times, always leave with 3000 bhat in your "travel wallet". Nothing better than a nice hot tub after a long flight and you won't have to pay the fees at the Air Port for exchange. Save some money, take the MRT to your stop. Most likely it will be NANA Plaza. Here is my final tip. Stay in a hotel for no longer than 3 days. Pick the next hotel 6 blocks away. Keeps everything new. Consider staying at Heaven at 4, on Soi 4. Best staff....say hi to Nuna the bartender. She will take care of you. I got a sore throat from the smog and she made me the best lemon, honey and rum "tea" to help me out etc. I can go on and on. Have fun......be safe.....control your money AND your emotions. Stay clear of bar girls or working girls is my best tip of all. Yes they are whores...........but treat them with respect and who knows, maybe you can get a free night with a girl like I did from a gal in Soi Cowboy my first trip. It was an unbelievable story that would make a great book. Treat them like a human, have fun and you too might get that golden ticket!! Your best chance of getting that ticket is to never talk about sex and just have fun watching the crowd. Best part, this lady didn't even hustle me for a drink instead, she bought ME drinks at a bar up the stairs across the street at a club. If you can get the gal to be having fun, they don't want it to stop and it will go on and on and on and on. Thai people truly do live in the moment!! It's like they aren't capable of thinking past that day. Enjoy and like they say in the military, keep your head on a swivel and TRUST your gut feelings about everything. It just might save your life as it's saved mine on my world journeys. Chok Dee........which means good luck and is a way of saying goodbye.
@@tuforu4 Have you been there? Where have you been? I feel more safe at 3 am in BKK, CM and even Pattaya etc. Trust me buddy, I've traveled the world and I know dangerous places. Look, if you are respectful to the Thai people, you will make wonderful friends and you won't have any trouble. I've been there 8 times. Tell me where you have been and how many times. My guess, you have never been there or, you are the loudmouth type that will get you nowhere in TL.
Now, I am seriously intrigued. I kind of know what you are talking about in general terms of traveling abroad to these parts of Asia. Philippines from what I hear , see in vids, and read, is very similar to Thailand. But your narrations, tips, and tactics really provoke me to learn more from your experience. That's exactly I want to live when I go there, it's the way I want to carry myself, to be more precise, when I stay over there for the time I spend living that adventure.
I agree. My first time, I was blown away. I had never experienced anything close to this before. I only stayed 4 nights and I fell in love each night with a different girl. I went back every 6 months since (without COVID) and I fell in love every single night. I am a little older so I can keep my emotions in check. A younger guy does not have the experiences and will get sucked in.
I greatly appreciate how you showed the map prior to the tour. It is so helpful to me and makes everything more clear. As for the advise you shared , thank you very much!
Yes I agree, it made so much more sense otherwise you could be telling us street after street but if you don't show (as you did) the starting point on a map - most of us I dare to say are none the wiser. May I suggest you perhaps try doing it again?
A lot of wisdom in your advice. I definitely am addicted to Pattaya, having about 50+ trips there. First trip was back in 2000, and stayed at the Royal Garden Hotel next to the Royal Garden Mall. I was a true newbie, and didn’t know the system at all, only the reputation of Pattaya. Great experience, but it was really my second trip when I met up with friends in Bangkok and we all traveled down to Pattaya together that I had my proper introduction to the place. I’ve had all sorts of experiences there since then, including GFEs, LT and ST. I take a little different view than you. Everything you said is at least mostly true. Many, probably a strong majority of them are predators, but nice ones. Those that aren’t are quickly taken off the playing field as the find long term boyfriends or husbands. What you say about the gold is very true, although rings are so small and I’ve never had a girl ask me for a ring…. bacelets and chains though, a lot. Banks inThailand are relatively new business and doesn’t have at lot of Thai’s trust, so yes, gold is a convenient way to carry around your money. Also, the stories of sick grandmothers or water buffaloes are a good way to test the generosity of their farrang but the Thai girls really do send up 50% or more of their earnings to their family anyways, and there is often really a sick family member or something that needs repairing or replacing, there’s alway a need for more money. I’ve been to Isaan more than a dozen times and know. But the point you make is true, that it’s a test and the result will likely weigh on how much she values you from that point forward. Money does matter to Thais and will often trump feelings, but friendship and love does often blossom from these relationships, and not just from the men involved. Despite working in type of work environment all these lady are human and have human emotions. Be on guard but treat them kindly and respectfully.
Gold is also a preferred commodity of pinays with many unsuspecting banyaga's (farangs) being lured into shopping centres with jewelry shops. The Philippines is about 15% cheaper than Thailand but,Pinay women schemes are similar.
Newbie advice: Rule #1, never stay with a bar-girl more than one night. Rule #2: never buy her gold, computers, jewelry, etc. Rule #3, see rule #1!! These girls are trained to bleed you dry of all your money and you're easy pickings. The only emotional connection she has is to her parents and her Thai boyfriend. You are an accessory to her only, and you will be used for your money. There are many, many, many stories stating these facts so take your warning from those who have been before you!!
It's not really about luck though is it - it's pure and simple paying prostitutes (delusional to tell yourself otherwise). I'm pretty sure a Pattaya visitor could get "lucky" paying a pro at home and even avoid then repeatedly sending said hooker money afterwards or bloody marrying her. Brains left at the airport syndrome.
@@asdfgh123lkjhgf It depends how cold you want your experience to be. You want her looking at her watch while you're banging her then stick to western pros.
On a recent trip to Pattaya i met a guy who comes from my country & his Thai girlfriend. He told me that he has been sending her $450 CDN a month for the last 12 years. This girl was nothing to look at (about a 6). I told him that he was crazy & i would never you do something like that? And the thing that amazed me the most is that he only goes to Thailand about every 2 years. I told him that if he quit paying her he could go twice a year. Some guys are real pushovers.
a combination of inexperience and an inability to exert self-control. Yah, it's tough...and looks really don't matter when it's an emotional connection. I can say that once you pass 60, say, most any bargirl or sexy young lady, be she a '6' or less...once you're naked and in a room, nature will do its work and emotional aspects, too, will come into play. Love is strange.
I have a brother who is 60 this December. He never even been to Thailand. He met this Thai woman on the internet over 4 years ago. They talk only on some video chat sight. He got alot of photos from her on his Facebook page. Alot of them have been cropped and photoshopped showing him and her together. He's been sending her $350 a month for a couple years now. "Never seen her in person"! He finally got a passport to visit her. That was late last year. He still has not seen her because she keeps putting him off on the trip. We all know whats happening. But he is the biggest fool I've ever met. I'd laugh if it was a stranger. But is my oldest brother. Who is a divorced father of 3 late twenties and thirty year old children.
Excellent video and absolutely spot on accurate. Would love you to do a video charting your move from blighty to Thailand going back to your 1st visit, hotel you stayed at and your journey to being there permanently.
Pattaya is seriously addictive, it’s my favourite place in planet earth , I’ve been 4 times between 2017-2019 and I’ll be going back as soon as those quarantine issues are sorted, literally can’t wait to get back the place is amazing!
Spot on with everything, my first time blew my mind was with a girl within hours of landing , but you learn with experience the one night only rule is an absolute must or you will be ruined both emotionally and financially. I won’t be back until all restrictions are lifted . Almost two years since my last visit and miss it like hell .
I cant wait. I've watched countless videos and even had dreams of the place. I've watched so many videos, I already know my way around. This video highlights my biggest fear. I'm going to have to be extremely cautious.
Excellent video again. it is definitely great advice for anyone going there. I also agree with your opinion that most people won't go back until there is no quarantine.
I'm an ex-pat that has been living in Central America for the last 25 years. I don't know yet if I'll ever make it to Pattaya or not, but if I ever do, I will be arriving very well informed. Thank you for all your great videos, it's like having a good friend scope out a place for you before you get there. I would love someday to buy you a beer or three.
"Be a butterfly and flitter from one beautiful flower to the next'... sounds like great advice. Thanks once again for sharing your experience, Daz. Much appreciated.
I have been going to Thailand every year since 2010. After having travelled throughout Central and South America, I decided to take the Thailand plunge. it's a hell of a long trip from the USA, but well worth it when you arrive. Its a lot of fun, but you have to take it all in stride. The nights full of drinking catch up to you quickly. I learned most of what I needed to know about Thailand through videos like this one. I sure it is back to normal soon!!
Enjoyed the insights into the pitfalls of Pattaya as well as the condo inspections.Pre-covid,pat's was a regular stop on my 3 month se asian treks.Used to like watching the antics of 3 week millionaires in bars but,i generally don't take girls from bars or freelancers-just had too much stuff go missing from my room and ensuing dramatics following copulation, preferring soapies or massage places. Again, thankyou for the effort and insights-subbed today.
I remember it as if it was yesterday. The only holiday that I never wanted to go back home. Almost crying as I was getting on the plane to go home. It’s nothing I can describe, you have to experience it for yourself.
@@suphatrachaiyasit7531 I had exactly the same reception, that is until I showed them the photos I took on my second trip. I made sure I was included on the pictures, which turned many green with envy LOL
@@anthonydowling3356 one would hope so. But then...if you go to Pattaya, as I could choose to do, my wife is privy enough to know that there's only one thing one could do in that town that would piss her off. Saying 'Let's go to Pattaya!' to my wife would be like saying 'Let's go to M H Delpilar or Ermita in Manila!' Same difference. We stayed off of Soi 18 in Bangkok's Sukhumvit in Jan 2019 and wife didnt realize how she had more or less plopped us down at a boutique hotel as near as to ground zero for the red light district as possible. Ha ha...and we never visited Nana or Patpong or whatever.
So true. Gold is like a savings account. Another classic is that your tilac will demand a new latest model tollesap (mobile phone). Gold and a new phone can be pawned easily. Chances are that the gold price has increased when redeemed, since it is considered a safe investment in difficult times. To go to the airport is to squeeze the last Thai cash out of you. The tilac will demand any Thai cash left in your wallet before you board the plane to Farangistan. If you have a long term relation with a Thai GF they will bring up that you need to buy a house for their old mum in Isaan. Or at least make a generous contribution. I kid you not. I talked to a working girl in the Beergarden on Sukhumvit in BKK. Some years ago she landed a German whale who bought a big house for her. German whale left and she was working to pay for the upkeep for that big house. If you maintain a Thai GF you must question yourself if the emotional connection is worth her upkeep. Her upkeep can buy you a lot of short term pleasure with temps instead. Be a whale or be a pla salid, that is the question.
Hi, I'm from Bristol, England. Have just started watching these videos, more for amusement than anything else. I have never partaken of the delights of Pattaya girls. My first trip to Thailand was to meet and marry a young lady who I was introduced to by her Sister in England, married to a man living near me. After an eight months telephone romance, I got on a plane and flew to Bangkok. She met me at the airport and we married two days later. We then went to Pattaya for our honeymoon. It is an amazing place, just as a spectator even. After a few failed attempts, I got her a visa and brought her to England. In late 2018 we returned to Thailand where I've been living in her village ever since. We've been happily married now for thirteen and a half years and I don't regret a second of it. If , when we met, we hadn't liked each other I would have immersed myself in the Pattaya experience but for me it wasn't necessary. I know this isn't relevant to the subject in hand but I just thought I'd share anyway. I'll keep watching the videos, they are interesting and fun. Cheers
My Wife was never a working girl. She worked as a chamber maid cleaning hotel rooms. She had to quit the jib to marry me as they wouldn't give her the time off. When I returned to England and had to leave her in Thailand after a botched visa application she returned to her village in Isan. I'm not naive but I firmly believe she was faithful. She has always said that if she wanted a new man she would divorce me first. While in England she was shocked and upset seeing some Thai wives deceiving their husbands. She said they were giving them all a bad reputation.
Thanks Chap. I was hoping to get there for the first time for my 50th at the end of November but its really not looking good at the minute. Fingers crossed things get back to normal in 2022.
Definitely addicted, you were spot on about everything! Especially the emotional roller coaster! I booked my ticket back to Thailand the day I arrived back in the UK 🤣🤣🤣
An excellent video guide! Yes I became addicted to Pattaya when I first visited in 2006. A playground for single men, the paradise on earth. Many memories came back watching your video. Thanks for that and greets from Germany
Ok Daz, you ask us to tell you about our first time in Pattaya. my first time in Pattaya was in the 1950s,,, (my last time there was in the 1970s). At that time Pattaya was only a very small fishing village. Not at all a fancy place, there were only small older buildings with small businesses. There were small fishing boats along the beach and only one old structure in the water. Apparently, it had been a fishing pier with only the pilings remaining. Not a single other visitor than me at Pattaya. The lovely Thai people in the shops, everyone with their delightful "Thai Smile." There. I was introduced to the delicious "Thai Iced Coffee." I came there with the desire to go water skiing. Someone someway came up with a small boat with a small engine + a slalom water ski. after I enjoyed the water skiing, I had food and drinks with the persons that I rented the ski boat from. Following dinner and drinks, we all settled into my hotel room for the night, the three of us slept very well together. Looking back, I did things like this in so many countries while flying airplanes. I miss those good old days. My work was a pleasure, hard to believe they paid me quite well to go and do such lovely things. So many great places/people on Planet Earth. Other places/people have trouble competing with the "Land of Smiles."
Yes started going there in 1973 @ 17yrs old what great memories, so different now was last there in 2018 may go one more time cause I love the food more then anything else.
You are blessed in many ways, one being experiencing Pattaya before if became what is is today. I'm sure back them people were very very kind as many have become jaded over the years. 1988 was fun. I can only imagine what it might have been like in the 50s. Thanks for sharing a bit of history.
The wisdom whisperer and every word is so true. Been to Patty the first time in 2008, ever since 34 times. (checked all the immigration stamps in 3 passports) Been there, seen it, done everything and will do it again.
Lol - changing hotels ! Haha my next visit I’ve booked 4 different hotels in Pattaya & one in BKK…. For the reasons you mention ;) Familiarity is a bad thing
I really enjoy you vids. I have been to Thailand two times 2008&2009. Best vacation ever. You info is so right on. I met a nice lady and she showed me around. Best to go with someone who knows the ropes. Or they could just listen to you. Thank You!
Great Video and great advice...Im the type who could fall easily in Love..watching this has certainly been of great help..I'm hopefully heading out there end this year or early next year..watching your vids are very informative..Thanks and Stay Safe 🙏
First time- 2000, and there is nothing like the first trip. I was hooked and made several follow up trips. While less frequent now, it usually was 2/year. Times change, but the allure is still there, and there are stories you will have for life. You will also have memories that you will not tell anyone. :-) With TH-cam etc. now I don't think there is really too much of a newbie that is totally surprised, just a first timer. They all know what is there, the question is can they handle it and not get overwhelmed. Either way they will love it. Most of them likely start in Bangkok and make their way to Pattaya a bit later in their vacation. BKK will get them acclimated a bit and Pattaya gets them hooked. Once hooked, BKK likely gets skipped. It did for me. I agree with the 1 day rule, but after a few visits there is no reason you can't spend multiple days with one girl. By then you know the scene and not to get involved long term, even if you are a repeat customer. If you want to get her a gift - up to you. #1 rule after not getting involved with a girl is never make plans (other than a booking), they always change, so go with it. The trip will be more enjoyable. I will end with something I haven't heard in a while: "The worst day in Pattaya is better than the best day back home". I doubt that envisioned the current situation, but I look forward to the time when it is true once more.......
great comment. We all have our different views. I've traveled there 8 times over past 4 years. Only went to Pattaya once. Why? I'm fortunate to have lived in Oregon that has the most all nude strip clubs in the US. I'm now in Alaska. I was also a manager of a club for enough time to know, the drama in the US is the same as in TL. I swear, either all woman are born to be hustlers or it is learned because the tricks and games they play in TL when it comes to the beer bars are all the same. Pattaya really didn't do anything for me because I was desensitized to the environment from 21 years old. I can see how men would be sad to go home and eager to get back though. I plan on moving there 6 months out of the year so I do get it. New Years there is something not to be forgotten though. Talking about a real party in the streets!! I think that same feeling shadows over many who have lived or traveled to TL as often as I have. I have friends there, male and female and that's what keeps me going back, second is the food and third, well you understand. The lady I met truly is a delightful human but I will never marry or get tied down. My life now is ALL about travel. Being single with no kids really was a financial blessing. Enjoy your next journey. Yes, memories you will never forget and stories only you can choose to share.
As a newbie to channel I’m hoping to visit mid 2022. Then full relocation when retire early 2023.. I think pace it is best ! Check the options .. but i think based on your chats gentleman’s clubs good idea .. Cafu in or roll the dice .. love that. 2 day max rule maybe 1. I think if one is emotional and a little soft touch it could be dangerous. And most times it ends in tears ..
Good Video. If everyone treats it as a business transaction, then everyone is happy. I have (or HAD... Stupid pandemic) regulars that I hang out with, but always kept a couple of nights for new "excursions". You should mention that Central Festival is right below the Hilton. A very nice hotel.
Ive enjoyed all your wisdom from the few videos I’ve watched. Looks like I’ve left my run too late. Ive not yet been to Thailand but I’m looking forward to visiting. Your videos are packed full of common sense. I hope Thailand returns to what it was (viewed on through TH-cam) soon. Thanks for the insight.
I just came back from my first trip a few weeks ago and everything you pointed out in this video was on point!😊 It really helped me ground myself but I am going back in April smarter thanks to you. 😂
First time was a 10 day trip in Jan 2006, visiting Bangkok & Pattaya. It was a bit strange for a few days but soon became overwhelming with enjoyment. I was soon booking my next trip when returning to the UK for my return in April and then again in August. The whole experience is addictive, once you've been to Thailand it stays with you forever. But if you have a bit of time on you hands I would visit one of the islands either Koh Chang (personal favourite) or Koh Samui, its like your eyes are deceiving you with the natural beauty.
Well, I'm 67 years old now but my first time in Pattaya was in 1982 (aged 29) and wow!!! I had a ball of a time. I just wanted every girl because they were so beautiful, young and friendly. I never got emotionally involved because I wanted a different girl everyday. However, I saw my mates fell for the emotional trap ending up with strings on their wrists and believing these girls were committed to them in their absence. I was wise and enjoyed it. I visited several times over the years and now whish I could do it all again.
I came to Pattaya first time in 1985. After that I travelled about 50 times in the early nineties when I lived in Singapore. Last time was 20 years ago. Quite a difference today😟. But the story with the bar girls is just the same as the old days. Second road was a gravel road in 1985, and there were no buildings on the east side of second road, only rice paddies. Coming back in my retirement next year😉..
My first time in Pattaya was in 1978. Anchored out and had to take long boats to the beach and then wade in about 2-3' of water. Great times back then. I would definitely pass on the new Pattaya Sandbox setup.
Great video thanks mate, spent most of the video having a chuckle remembering my 1st time in Pattaya. Looks like it's going to be a while before I can return so long in fact that without these types of videos to remind me I may have made a few of those Newbie mistakes again. 🤦♂️🤦♂️😂
Nice to have look around after going to hua hin area, things change quickly, my condo in Pratumnack area is a prime example, not much there 16 years ago and now just the right amount of action imo.
@@everythingPattaya Keep up the great work. I will try out that new sauna you recently did a video on. Looks great. Can be in Pattaya a long time without knowing about a place like that. You know about the other similar place in south Jomtien?
Daz, great advice as always for 1st timers. Since I first came I haven’t looked anywhere else apart from Thailand/ Cambodia for a holiday. Hooked! I don’t like the sound of the new Pattaya Sandbox thing. I’m booked to come 1st Jan. I’ll be interested to see what the score will be by then, but I’m not interested in the model as it stands, pointless & costly
You will be back that's for sure, you also summed up everything that's happened on my second trip (my first trip to Pattaya was with my western ex girlfriend).
15 yrs of visits, fell for love twice. Cost me abit of dosh. I'm 52 yrs old now, and finally stopped sending. Ill go solo now, no more lovie dovie stuff for me. Next trip I better be more wiser!
The worst things is the deaths that have happened under suspicious circumstances. It used to be fairly common in the news to hear about an older farang that was murdered or allegedly killed in self defense, or allegedly committed suicide in his house. Wife or GF supposedly away because they had a fight. Or some in law was jealous and took matters into his own hand because he was not given enough money that he thought the falang had. Even if the wife was a saint, there are ways to induce her to bad things... Gun put to her head, gun put to her mother's head, etc. Be careful about buying things over there or having large known life insurance policies or of having or people thinking you have jewels, money, etc, at home in a safe. Bad things can and have happened, at much higher rates than in other countries.
I was talking to some freelancers on Beach Road on my last trip. They said they know of more than a few mototaxi guys that will beat the shit out of a guy, or even push him, for just 500 bhat. Not all who jump are committing suicide. Rule number #2, don't tell anyone your business or that you have dime to your name.
Long term relationship with a bargirl? *A definitive NO NO.* It is almost always end badly. The few exceptions just strengthen the rule: don't do it! If you want a decent thai woman, you won't find them in the bars and discos.
Good video..again 👍 I think I had my "awakening" in Bangkok.. so pattaya was not much of a big surprise.. although quantity does take your breath away and in case of soi 6.. a bit er.. unease.. Benny Hill chaised by the half naked girls with the speeded up music ... always came in to my mind for some reason 😌
Some advice for the "Newbies". "READ Private Dancer by Stephen Leather". It should be mandatory, because it shows the mentality of the working girls out there, and sadly they all have the same mentality. Money Money Money. Fake love and need more Money !
I was very lucky to have a mate bring me to Pattaya and he and his friends showed me the ropes found the most amazing bar girl on the first night funny friendly and wanted to come home with me skyrockets WOW left after lunch. I wanted more but the boys said slow down you can see her again next week, from then on party every night when i did get back she had gone away with her boyfriend from England. tried LT with two woman but costs to much and they want to control everything you do was ruining my R/R so ended it is more fun to be not tied down especially in a place like Pattaya. Good vlog brings back 11 years of so many great memories but will wait till they stop quarantine and restriction before i return so miss the girls and food. Isnt it fun to bring a newbee and see there reaction. 😍👍
First time I went was with a mate 10 years ago. On Soi 6 in a bar we walked in and three guys were just sitting there looking straight ahead not talking. Seconds later we both noticed three girls were giving them head. He said, "welcome to Thailand". I don't think I slept for a month that first time. Been going every year for a month. Never more than my 4 hour rule for me. Why with so much variety. If I want them for the night I just short time them at 11pm. Chances are they will stay the night anyway if you are in a nice place. That morning BJ is worthy of a tip which is cheaper than long term. :)
Reality check, a fellow reservist who was in Pattaya as part of the Gulf War airlift passing through U-Tapao was told on his commissioning physical to become a pilot that he was HIV positive, figuring it came from a visit in town. There are plenty of Thai drug stores that will do the test for 300 baht a person, money well spent for peace of mind. Don't make some of your decisions in the middle of a booze soaked haze.
So I go to a drug store and get a test and test POS. How is that any different than hearing it from someone else. Either way the guy is screwed. However, your last sentence is spot ON. Moral of the story? By all means stay away from the girls on Beach Road. They are there for a reason.
I loved your videos from the start, your most honest and truthful advice is gold. Hope you keep making videos and who know I might go retire there as well. 😆. Keep up the great info
I first came in 1986 and I was only 22 with a lovely girlfriend back home. It was different then and so was I and I was terrified. I didn't like it. I did not want to have anything to do with these girls. I returned in 2009 and that was more like my real first time. By then I was interested. What can I say. Had a great time and been back 3 more times. It would be more were it not for covid. I have a mate who has lived in Jomtien for several year's as a young retiree. I am just waiting for the covid situation to stabilise then I am moving out for my retirement. How addicted is that? The advice on this channel is sound. You can have a great time but keep it real. If you can get a book called 'Private Dancer'. Read it and take it in. After you have you can enjoy yourself without being fleeced or having your heart broken. Keep your eyes and your mind open.
my first Thailand visit was 1987 and somehow, my wife convinced me to return to the States earlier than I had planned, and to cut short my Thailand vacation. I didn't meet any Thai gals on that trip, but I saw and chatted with plenty of Kathoey along the river from where I was staying.
We arrivved 1st time 1999 with 2 mates 1st night bkk nana plaza then about 12 days pattaya and then 1 more night in bkk. We felt like rock stars or movie stars, thats before mobile phones. We got back home and were depressed as hell, with our minds being back in Thailand and planning for the next trip.As spoken by the youtuber it is something you have never experienceid before. As much as that it is true I would never come go back unless all restrictions are removed especially the one of not double jabbed no entry not even 1 experimental jab which has no efficay whatsover. C'est la vie'
I think the question is....what will Pattaya post Covid be like? I remember like yesterday my 1st day there in 2004, it was so different then to how it was in March 2019. I'm not even sure "newbies" will exist when Thailand re opens.
First time in 1993. After that addicted. After many visits changed to Cambodia from 2007 till 2017. Thema Sihanoukville was taken over by the Chinese. Have a love hate relationship with Pattaya. One advice for newbies is learn the language a little bit. It makes it a lot easier. Next Year 60 and will retire and will live the wintertime in Thailand and summer in Europe
@@ralphburggraaff4081 shocking what happened to Sihanoukville- was great for a bit tho... I moved to Siem Reap near Angkor, and that is still my fave...hopefully Angkor will slow the Shittification process that eventually swallows all...
I really love your channel. You have some solid advice here. I went in 2019 and was addicted, but haven't been able to go back. Really frustrating!!! I was really there on business and was staying with an expat friend. Staying with him was miserable and I was a complete newbie and didn't know how to get around. Toward the end of the trip I was starting to learn how to get around a little. It was then that I started staying in hotels on my own and enjoying myself. I had been with many girls by then, but I was being managed by him. Getting on my own made me able to find the dreamgirl type. I'm still in contact with her and I don't send her money and will probably visit her when I go back. So, if you are there on business don't let an expat manage your experience. He will lead you to the cheapest girls every time and they can be great for cleaning the pipes, but if you are into hunting down the hottest one you need to do it on your own.
Thanks for the map, your movies me personally are very interesting. And I'm waiting for an announcement from you when to open Pattaya. And maybe another meeting for the beer 🙏
Its not only Pattaya, i had amazing fun in Angeles City also, even more fun coz Pinays all speak English. Plus pesos worth less than baht so its 20% cheaper there.
@@marcom2248 you are prepared and it’s a good thing. You’ll still be overwhelmed by the craziness though and you’re in for a wild ride. Your first trip won’t be the last one
@marcom2248 to give you an idea I played the sugar daddy with a ladyboy. Didn't have to spend anything for sexy time but everything else like food, then bars, then night clubs where we'd get a bottle of absolut vodka every night. I was spending 8000 bahts daily (about £170). I don't know if prices went ballistic but I know that back in my home country I'd need at least 4 times the amount. For short times in Soi 6 you can get away with 1500 bahts, sometimes 2000 and you'll have a fantastic time for 2 hours.
@@foufoudoudou299 Thank you very much for sharing your experiences 👍. My budget for everything will be 8000 Bath per day. So I think I will pay for my own drinks 300 Bath, two ladydrinks for 400 Bath, for ST 2000 Bath and for the BF 1500 Bath. The rest will be food, transportation and other stuff.
@marcom2248 your welcome. Anothrr advice too : avoid the gogo bars it is overrated and expensive. Go to normal bars when you can play pool with the ladies. You can also barfine them for 500 bahts if you like them. Also you will be expected to buy lady drinks for your girls friends.. you don't have to do this. Decline politely or just offer one drink if you want to be nice. And also it's not rude to check your bill from time to time to make sure they didnt add a drink you haven't ordered. It never happened to me though but it happened to some people
12:00 one of the best BKK girls I ever spent time with did something quite the opposite of this. "My parents died when i was young. My older sister who raised married a Korean guy and lives there where she runs a successful hair salon. She sends me money to supplement my income. I don't have to support any of my family, they support me" LOL. Music to the cautious man's ears...
In Pattaya, a man can go beyond "Butterfly" status because of the huge amount of choice of ladies and services this wonderful city provides. One young Thai lady paid me a complement when she found out from her friend that I only stay with ladies for one night, as well as visit Soi 6 and/or a Gentleman's Club throughout the day. She called me a "Helicopter". Great place and easy to get addicted. Can't wait to late 2022 when Pattaya will return to her glory days.
@@danvelgtr understand your view with the current hardships undergone by the city and country, but once international travel commences the city will start to recover but it will be different with a focus on the Indian and Chinese markets and more of a closed shop type of club rather than the open air cheaper bars.
And yes.......relations with a girl will seem so natural.

The Philippines is about 15% cheaper than Thailand but,Pinay women schemes are similar.
Social security in Thailand is your family. Out of job now with covid and no family? Tough luck.
Couldn't have said it better.

a combination of inexperience and an inability to exert self-control. Yah, it's tough...and looks really don't matter when it's an emotional connection. After having travelled throughout Central and South America, I decided to take the Thailand plunge. it's a hell of a long trip from the USA, but well worth it when you arrive.
She said they were giving them all a bad reputation.
totally on point - yes it can work out if you work at it.
@@lance9431 that's a pretty cynical thing to think. Maybe for a bargirl it could be true.
SIR, Your Breakdowns Are PRICELESS!!!

Another great video, been to Pattaya many times everything you say I totally agree”from personal experience”555
Great topic! I'm a newbie and this education you gave me will help me!
The lovely Thai people in the shops, everyone with their delightful "Thai Smile."
There. I was introduced to the delicious "Thai Iced Coffee."
I came there with the desire to go water skiing.
Other places/people have trouble competing with the "Land of Smiles."
haha christ you must be 'older than dirt'...
1950 , so how old you are now , 127 hahahaaaaa
@@chrisjuricichxl5 hahahaaa, cheers from Miami
Brilliant. This pretty much sums it up
The wisdom whisperer and every word is so true.
Thank You!
Thanks for sharing!
I'm thinking of going here this year, I'm binge watching your vids and a few others and reading these comments as well, thanks very much.
Hope you enjoy it!
This is a well produced and guided video. First time I've seen your video, very relaxed and smooth. Great, keep up the good work.
Thank you very much!
Your videos are great. So well paced , honest and open .
Great Video and great advice...Im the type who could fall easily in Love..watching this has certainly been of great help..I'm hopefully heading out there end this year or early next year..watching your vids are very informative..Thanks and Stay Safe 🙏
Glad it was helpful!
Great video Daz spot on and agree aint going to jump through hoops ill come back when normal again
First time- 2000, and there is nothing like the first trip. I was hooked and made several follow up trips. While less frequent now, it usually was 2/year. Times change, but the allure is still there, and there are stories you will have for life. You will also have memories that you will not tell anyone. :-)
With TH-cam etc. now I don't think there is really too much of a newbie that is totally surprised, just a first timer.
@@10MinutestoRouletteFortuneI like your lifestyle of never being tied down mate. Definitely something to be said for having your freedom.
I first came in 2018 thinking it was going to be a once in a lifetime trip .. OMG how wrong I was .. I will never go anywhere else in the world again
Thank you for the tour and the chat! Very in-depth, I loved it...!
Awesome! Thank you!
Your videos and descriptions are excellent!!! Thank you!!
Glad you like them!
First time was a 10 day trip in Jan 2006, visiting Bangkok & Pattaya.
It was a bit strange for a few days but soon became overwhelming with enjoyment. I was soon booking my next trip when returning to the UK for my return in April and then again in August.
The whole experience is addictive, once you've been to Thailand it stays with you
forever.
That would have been an adventure I'm sure. As we're older now, Chiang Mai after BKK works for me.
1978 , so how old you are now , 125, hahahaaaa
Thanks so much. I appreciate your comments. I never listened to the end any clip except this one. Thanks again
Thanks for listening
Great video thanks mate, spent most of the video having a chuckle remembering my 1st time in Pattaya. Looks like it's going to be a while before I can return so long in fact that without these types of videos to remind me I may have made a few of those Newbie mistakes again. 🤦♂️🤦♂️😂
Nice to have look around after going to hua hin area, things change quickly, my condo in Pratumnack area is a prime example, not much there 16 years ago and now just the right amount of action imo.
Thank you for your advice. So clear,...so important.
Great content. I spent 10 years in Thailand and have to say you are spot on with pretty much everything you say.
Wow, thanks
@@everythingPattaya Keep up the great work. I will try out that new sauna you recently did a video on. Looks great. Can be in Pattaya a long time without knowing about a place like that. You know about the other similar place in south Jomtien?
@@magamike1800 Do you mean the Gay Sauna in Jomtien ? I don't know any other one.
As always, very nice informations......I been there.
You will be back that's for sure, you also summed up everything that's happened on my second trip (my first trip to Pattaya was with my western ex girlfriend).
Excellent video again as usual. Wish I had access to this information before my first trip in 2004 but back then you had to learn the hard way😀
Thanks for sharing!
Rule number #2, don't tell anyone your business or that you have dime to your name.
everything you say is spot on i love your videos so much advice and information
good video, your saving a lot of heartache
Great video and advice. Really hit home. -Roger, Papillon of Chiang Mai 🦋
Glad it was helpful!
Enjoying your videos. Very informative. Retiring g in 2 months. Maybe do South America next 2 years before I head out to the far east. Good work
Long term relationship with a bargirl? *A definitive NO NO.* It is almost always end badly. The few exceptions just strengthen the rule: don't do it! If you want a decent thai woman, you won't find them in the bars and discos.
Yep, for sure. Golden advice!
Your voice and videos are so calming pal. It’s like listening to my old grandad telling me a story haha
Wonderful discussion. 1 day rule however safe, seems to be pretty brutal. 3 day rule is risky obviously. You bring up excellent points.
Thank you for the information and tips. I have never been to Thailand but want to visit at some point. BTW those malls looked really nice!
You should!
Enjoying all the videos, please keeping coming.. I would like to see some more Condos for rent. Thanks
More to come!
Another excellent video. Lots of info, thanks.
great video , newbies , its all true , im a 20 year + plus man married and divorced from a thai lass , and all the stories are true ,
i have been only once in 2016,wow all new to what i was used to,loved it i shall return cheers mate
I've been many times.
I don't know why I watched it but it did make me laugh and say true that.
I'm enjoying your blogs. The content seems genuine and helpful. Liked & subscribed 👍
I loved your videos from the start, your most honest and truthful advice is gold. Hope you keep making videos and who know I might go retire there as well. 😆. Keep up the great info
Great video again: the sites and explanations both! Thanks
2005 and loved it went back 3 months later and stayed at jontiem beach
Great orientation for new guys, good discussion, many thanks 👍
Yes it is addicting. Even planning going back this year. IF you are easy to fall in love - be careful, to easy to loose it all money and the mind
Great info, Cheers mate. Keep the good job. I never been in Marina.
Then Sihanoukville was ….
Ha Ha, thanks for sharing
Thanks for the map, your movies me personally are very interesting. And I'm waiting for an announcement from you when to open Pattaya. And maybe another meeting for the beer 🙏
I just realized after listening to the video. You sound a lot like Mr Rodgers in his neighborhood! Great.

@@foufoudoudou299 I think you are right. But I've heard that the prices are going ballistic, so I don't know how much fun I can afford...
Oh wow, look pass me her details and I'll send her some money to help her out. hahahahaha
I came first in 1996 with being 27 years young and not bad looking, it was amazing, since than i came every year back to Thailand
Very good , but not too sure about your very last statement .
@@danvelgtr understand your view with the current hardships undergone by the city and country, but once international travel commences the city will start to recover but it will be different with a focus on the Indian and Chinese markets and more of a closed shop type of club rather than the open air cheaper bars.
