Maybe you have explained before and I missed it, but what makes the Jake brake more difficult shifting compared to non? The fact that the brake engages when you release the throttle?

Take it easy and don't pressure the motor. Pay attention to the water temp, oil temp, transmission temp, and keep the pyro below 800. If the pryo starts to increase, drop a gear. Heat is a caterpillar's worst enemy. Even though I have the power, I don't pressure my truck on hills.
I'll stick with the automatic Freightliner cascadia. The only manual transmission vehicle i ever enjoyed driving is the Dodge Viper ACR, other than that nope!
Get a lumbar pillow, wherever you shop, I needed one after my injury, I have zero pain after a 14hr day, only thing hurt is my bun because I hate bottom cushions
@@presy_jay I ride in a box truck around the city of Pittsburgh and it's terrible. We got cut off by a student driver one time. It was scary but kinda funny at the time. Pretty sure they failed that lesson😂
Not all of us can't drive man. If your could ask you would find out that most of those non driver really aren't from here or there city idiots. Then you have the pissed off out of towners that own the road
Bro it so terrible. I live here and get to witness it daily. Folks can't merge properly. They all pass on the right and play these reckless games with semi trucks when the lanes are ending. I have so many dash cam footage of this madness.

@AtlasJohn Can throw you off in-between shifts. You're shifting up while the jake brake wants to slow you down.

Lo/lo if loaded, taking off a hill. 1st when heavy on a flats. 2nd when light or empty.

To prevent someone from driving off while the forklift operator is in the back of the trailer. And trust me, it does happen.
