  • This is a prime example of making sure to go the distance on bench testing let alone live fire testing. With that said upon extremely stressful bench testing the firearm presented a few other issues . Let's address them shall we.

Johnny, if you have sorted out what made your Shield magazines reliable for you, could you please pass that information along to those of us who would like that exact setup but don't have the means, and perhaps knowledge, to diagnose what needs work?
I know your mags might work in mine and vice versa, but hearing from you about your situation helps educate, and it's interesting and fun to listen to.

When I built my P80 G26 the slide catch was sticking up enough to lock the slide back every time. I routed out the trigger due to that appearing to be the cause, but it wasn't. It ended up being a small ledge built into the P80 lower. I had to Dremel out 1/4 inch of material to fully clear the spring, but it did work. It functions exactly as intended now. :)

Right! If your car won't do 0-60 in 3 seconds, you should throw it away. Or if it ever gets a flat tire, or needs an oil change. Don't fix it. Throw it away. That's all it's good for, isn't that what you would suggest, Johnny?

I recently purchased a mag well for a PSA Dagger which uses glock 19 mags , in the description for the mag well it says "will not work with g19 10rnd mags" . I am curious how 2 magazines for the same gun can be so different so as to not work with a mag well . I have both mags and the 10rnd mag won't engage ??? I have measured everything I can and have found no difference in size... any idea how this could be ?

bobby zeek Hey brother sounds like you’re striker control channel it’s not clear!
Sometimes it might be dirty and sometimes they get damaged when people get their guns Cerekoted! If you don’t remove the channel liner before this the heat damages it!
Try to pull out the liner and inspect it clean it or replace it

What upgrades or modifications would you recommend for a model Glock 45. Just asking for future reference.

Sights. Striker control device. That’s all unless it is a competition gun.

Due do you offer any type of armorer course? If so when this whole wuflu thing passes, and things are good enough I would definitely fly down, or even drive if I had to, and take any/all if you offer, or ever do offer that opportunity.. to gain even some of your knowledge would be time and money well spent 👍.. I would absolutely cherish learning from you, with all of the time and hard work, dedication, and consistency you have it would be like learning from yoda😬.. love all your vids brother 👍🇺🇸👍🇺🇸👍🇺🇸

Is that a Glock? Looks like majority of the parts in this particular pistol have been changed to some aftermarket parts of varying quality? That, plus poor maintenance service equals problems. If you want to trust your Glock, leave it original and take care of it with good maintenance 🤯🤠🥳

Hey Johnny G!! I’m pretty sure the phrase goes, “For all intents AND purposes” and not “For all intensive purposes”. At the end of the day people don’t watch your vids to learn proper grammar though... Right? We watch your vids to learn how to work on our glocks, and we want to learn from the absolute best. You happen to be that dude imho. Sorry if I came off as a douchey grammar nazi here... I just thought you might like to know that lil tidbit!!

I noticed two problems. You are calling the slide stop by the wrong name. It's not a "slide lock" it's a "slide stop". And you are not suppose to release the slide by depressing the slide stop unless your in a combat situation. That why that pistol has excess wear on the slide notch. Don't feel bad because 99% of all pistol users misuse the slide stop because they watch too much TV. It looks cool. But that's O.K. Just sell him a new slide and teach him the proper way to release the slide when shooting at the range. It's O.K. to use the slide stop when in a combat situation. Just expect excess wear on the slide notch. Keep up the good work and keep these great videos coming.
