Taylor and Rachel separate the Oval body and pan. Ben comes to help with the metal work. Taylor hurts himself really bad. Follow us on instagram @wickedwerks
Of course you need an oval beam. I had to junk a pretty cruddy 54 pan with a decent beam and split case trans about a year ago. Yeah that bus has southern pine needle rot. The pine needles brown, then everytime it rains they are slightly acidic. So everywhere they collect will rust.
Hands doing good, thanks! Happened New Year’s Eve. Just getting back into the shop end of last week. Yeah swing by if you’re in Providence! Thanks for watching
never seen a bay rust like that, wonder what the story was on that Taylor, always rust from the bottom up. your lucky you didn't cut a tendon, its life changing and happens more often than you think
We were able to figure out that it was a Florida Bus for some amount of time. It had parking permits and club stickers for a Golf Resort down there. We found it parked under a tree in a fellows backyard pretty far from main roads. Yes, extremely lucky. Almost got all my movement back and surprisingly none of the nerve damage tingles, not yet anyway. Thanks for watching!
You should soak the bolts in FREE ALL from O'Reilly's. Marcie June recommended it and I think Mike F N said something too, so I tried it, well, TBH it was better than Kroil.
@@wickedwerks Its strange because my 75 Westie was the exact same way. the floor was covered in a thick mud or maybe even wood like that one but yet when I cleaned it the thing was damn near spotless.

nice progress on the oval, glad your thumb recovered.....oh and Rachael didn't snap off any bolts 😆
She’s a much better tech than I am already. 😂
Hope your thumb heals well Taylor. Praying for you. Great progress on the oval. Cool seeing Nate’s bus also. Hope to see more on both. God bless
Ouch! Hope it heals up soon.
Love watching your Progress on the Oval. Sorry you got hurt hope it heals up soon. Wouldn't mind swinging bye sometime we are in Mass.

I loving the wick-id-awesome-bug-shawp-in-Rho-di-lin! 😃
Thanks for watching! You know, your car looks familiar. Did you have a guy up north build you a 1776?
@@wickedwerks The Bug is completely stock. I bought it two years ago. But it's been driven around in Rhode Island for the past 30 years.
@@riverbluevert7814 I’ve met it’s doppelgänger than! There’s one up north that looks IDENTICAL that I worked on four or five years ago.
welcome to the oval fun and games ;) Looks the same as mine ;) Hope the hand heals quick too!
Hand is doing very well now, thanks for watching!
Cool video, Rachel does good work.
hope the thumb gets better soon.
SEE GUYS.....IT aint Rocket science. This guy will finish this car......and I think it will look pretty good.
Hey thanks, Mike! It’ll be unique if nothing unless. Thanks for watching
Nice progress on the oval! Those welds can be ground down 🤙
They can be, but they won’t be 😂
Now all you need to do is find another $100 bus with a good top and a rotted bottom! Hope to see that hand back in prime wrenching form soon!
Back in the shop as we speak! Thanks for watching ✌🏻
Good job….keep at it 👍🏴
Thanks for watching!

5150mxvw, may have a bus with a nice roof available. Never saw a bus rust out like that.
Media blast, is anyone local doing it?

Quite surprised how that chassis is turning out because I was a bit sceptical, well done !
Too bad you hurt your hand, is Ben abusing you?
The chassis was the most solid part of the car it seems! I’m most worried about getting the nose back together correctly 😂 thanks for watching!
/T.
@@wickedwerks As long as it doesn't end up looking like Michael Jackson you'll be fine. Take care, guys!
The abuse is entirely mutual 😂 - Ben
Crazy how the floor was good even being covered in what looked like mud. but yet the top was shot lol
Right?! It had a wood floor that was very wet and crappy, that’s what I want shoveling out
@@wickedwerks Its strange because my 75 Westie was the exact same way. the floor was covered in a thick mud or maybe even wood like that one but yet when I cleaned it the thing was damn near spotless.
Did you say the $100 bus came with a rack?
The rack was another $100 but yeah, basically 😂
@@wickedwerks Can't pass up a $100 bus rack! Looking forward to seeing it show up in a future video.
Bloody hell taylor hope your ok m8 . Oval bodyoff cool 👍
It's healed up pretty well, hands still kind of weak but I've got most of my movement back. Thanks, pal. Hope all is well!
@@wickedwerks that’s good,easily done !!
Let me know when you need help . I will come by as a apprentice.
Much appreciated! I’m back up and running now.
Nice video. You need some more goats like Sleeperdude, maybe a couple kids...the human kind. Sorry about your thumb!
Put some safety glasses on her beautiful 😍 eyes
Fuckin hell the crust and I thought my 67 was bad. Bad luck with your hand, but these things will happen when you're playing around with rusty bits
We do flock to crust around here 😂
@@wickedwerks lol, they do over here to
