Great video! Terrific edit too. I especially appreciate your ability to see ahead in the 'order of steps' to get to the desired goal, while focused on doing everything with no shortcuts. That is hard to do. Does take time to do it all right the first time.
That was pretty much a nice job. 😅. I enjoyed this type work when working on my Ghia. These areas you can cut, weld, beat, cuss and when finished, cover up with sealer, paint, and goop. It will be 100% structurally perfect, and it will never be seen again.
@@dcmflydude6320 kinda my only choice 😂 this car is a mess and it’s not destined to be a show car. We want it to be solid, which it was not and it’s slowly becoming solid
If I had a waste oil heater, yes but those are not actually anymore efficient than a standard oil heater and require a lot more maintenance. I also don’t yield enough used oil to make sense for a burner.
The body from VW is correct….. always fit the patch panel to the body ….. not the body to the panel …. You really should drop the body on the pan and then fit the panel. By you assuming on the position and using the Cleckos you don’t know. You should drill the 1/8 inch holes after the body was on the pan …. It will save a lot of problems. The aftermarket patch panels also suck. But overall nice job.
You do excellent work on beetles and other things and you do them well great video

Nice job. Nice to see you wear protective gear.
Did mine a while back. Same thing had to move the mount and beat the shit out of it. Great video for those about to attempt this repair
Awesome video thanks 👍 ☝ ✊ 👊

Can you filter the used motor oil you take out of cars and filter it and use for heating oil?

I hope you inspect the clutch cable tube brackets, and replace the fuel line on Racheal chassis when you have the tunnel cover removed.
