That's an authorized retailer, no worries
HD is the largest authorized retailer. Fake tools are much easier to spot and far more rare.
I mistakingly bought a fake Dewalt 18V 5AH battery on Ebay UK,I was refunded but they failed to remove the listing even after reporting the listing on several occasions.contated DeWalt & sadly they weren't interested either as it wasn't purchased from an official reseller.only help they gave was to confirm it was a fake serial number.
Great video! Thanks for putting more word out about these counterfeit Milwaukee batteries. Wish I would have done research and watched your video before buying a Milwaukee M18 12ah battery from eBay at a much lower price point. I didn't catch it at 1st but after using the eBay battery and realizing how terrible its performance was, I compared it right next to my genuine Milwaukee M18 12ah battery and there are a lot of differences between the 2. If I didn't have my genuine battery, I would have fallen for it. Now I have to waste time and fight eBay about a refund. I'm sure a lot of people have been duped and don't know any better. To the untrained eye, or in my case, without my genuine battery and knowing how it performs, I would have thought, wow, great deal and battery. Let's be honest, genuine Milwaukee batteries are not cheap. Everybody would like to save money and get the real deal but these eBay batteries are definitely not the real deal. They are fakes and counterfeits!
I should have listened to my conscience, if it's too good to be true, it isn't.
I got milwaukee batteries from Amazon that are real, got 2 from ebay and i knew right away they were fake.
ALL NEW DEWALT 20V 5.0AH FROM 2023 AND NEWER MUST HAVE QR CODE ON THEM. ALSO BATTERY CONNECTIONS MUST BE MADE OF COPPER NOT CROME METAL.
Seems only the 6.0 AH are being faked?
6s, 8s and 12s. Scammers love throwing the high AHs out there.

@@UltimateToolReviewsI just found out my 2 dewalt 5s are fake and my m12 3ah is fake and likely the other 5ah mulwaukees I already ordered are likely fake. They work I’ve had no issues on light use so whatever too good to be true usually is I’ll stick to checking out the stores around me and online
