I just one delivered about 2 hours ago, charged the battery and cut up the trunk of last years xmas tree(wife uses branches for some hobby stuff). It cut way,way better than i was expecting. I got it on a deal from Temu and paid about $45 for it. Just like the one i just watched. I highly recommend it!

Cheaper than the $38 Makita impact driver I bought on Aliexpress. Mine was new though. I was curious what it would be like for $38. It does run. I believe it's the Japanese version not sure. I do know the U.S. bits fit fine. I haven't put it to work yet. Probably 3in deck screws to tighten up several loose boards & replace a few boards

I will need to replace the chuck still, but oiling them often helps them last for a bit longer, this was a $20 eBay special.

I've always liked hitachi/hikoki / metabo HPT but in my experience they don't handle falls well and the batteries seem to be prone to failure. In this case you take away the easy insert colic and I'm going with Makita. I prefer a little more power from Makita since they're getting their ass handed to them by everybody it seems but the tools ease of operation and smoothness overshadow that especially when you consider you're not going to be using a 1/4" impact for large lag bolts that often.

I just bought one of these a month ago and I also bought the chainsaw and brush cutter attachment and they knocked 100 bucks off of each one of the attachments excellent deal. It was like 425 all in with taxes for the main tool and the two additional attachments

I just bought their tablesaw. When I looked it up it was all stellar reviews. When I got it home it was missing the adjustable leg. So I contacted them through the website. I wasn't expecting much. I got it on clearance. But what they gave me was worse than I figured. A sorry. Return it. Or here is a link to purchase the parts you need. They didn't ask a single question. I could of paid full price for all they knew. The link was useless. I ended up finding a better supplier for the part on my own. Needless to say I will NEVER buy anything they produce under any of their other names too no matter how good of a deal it is. Fooled me once. Bye bye. I have the same policy with Rigid.

Thanks for the vid, recently started building out my tool line, and I picked Ryobi over Craftsman, one main reason is I have a Home Depot near me, but Lowes is much further away.

A lot of you have ridiculously high expectations from craftsman. I will remind people that craftsman under sears never made tools and were a bad client. they couldn't pay the bills. SBD bought the name only, paid almost 1b for the company, and had to start from basically 0 as sears burn so many bridges. They also did spend the money to build tools here in TX. Unfortunately, we have lost too much experience as manufacturers. Now i feel like some people never paid attention to warranty at sears, only the hand tools had lifetime warranty, lights, power tools ect never had it. Its like people only remember the good stuff and ignore the garbage they sold. Now price, most of the tools are reasonably priced, i mean, you can get a 256pc set for under 120$ constantly. Sometimes, they go to 99$ 😅. The screwdrivers set are under 20$, and no Milwaukee set is close to that currently, unless it's on clearance. The ratchets are overpriced, but they have been improving them slowly. Now, you can get a slim model that replaces the old ones. The V line is almost all rebranded facom, expensive for some buyers, cheap for those who know what the equivalent facom cost. They also go on sale offten, that's the time to buy them. Overdrive(mac rbrt), good quality, and cheap. Go price out the MAC version, easily 1500$ for something similar. Sorry, the power tools were a joke under sears. The current line is much better. The RP line is excellent, with some hidden gems. Overall, they are a mid range tool company like they have always been. It would've been nice to see more usa made sets, but people are addicted to cheap stuff. Usa manufacturing has a price, and it aint cheap.

orbital action works great on makita jigsaws...

In other video's i saw that it makes a huge difference which sawblade is used...just try a few different blades to get the best results. My 18V 20 year old Makita Recipro is barely used because it sucks in power...i will buy the 40V now.

I cant speak on masterforce besides going in to get a single impact socket a few times. But ive found some of the craziest deals on good name brand stuff at menards. If you have one near you they have online only deals amd they ship it to the store for free. Not everyday they have crazy stuff but if you look you will find some eventually. And i got 374.00 back on my first rebate mail-ins. That were 3 months old lol

I joined a Makita group on Facebook and it came up that the TD173 are not as durable as the TD172, a guy that sells them says that he has had to repair the controllers often in the 173 and someone else said that the overmold rubber on the shells do not hold up well. I have one but I have not used it enough to know how true the claims are.

Great video. I have both lights. Had Makita for 6 years, came with a 5 ah battery for $129.00. Just bought the Milwaukee with a 6 ah battery for $149.00. I have a home repair business, so I use these lights daily. Excellent for plumbing under sinks and inside cabinet work. I like using the Milwaukee with an 8 ah battery attached. Very stable, and I like the adjustability of the head. Yes, the Makita is lighter for crawl space and even attic work.

Just remember, those battery adapters don't have low voltage cut off & if you run your batteries too low you could damage them. You should periodically check your battery level to make sure they don't go too low.

Don’t own the Milwaukee but I can speak for the Makita , its been great for me. Had it since they came in stores at HD . At that time it was 79$ . Then they went nuts with the price.

I can give you an easy answer to the question in the video title: Once you use Xlock, you will miss it on every normal grinder. It speeds up your workflow, especially for welders. For cleaning up welds, you usually switch between grinding and flap disk, which is a lot faster. If you work in a shop, theres always that one dude who thinks its a strength contest when tightening the nut. No more. Bad thing is, theres a few special tools for standard grinders that you cant use on xlock. A concrete grinding disc would be a good example. If your company is already invested in a ton of standard grinding discs, those wont fit on an xlock.

For a mostly usa made box thats not a bad price. You can get them now under 1400$ for the 72". Much better built, with better drawer layout. Where else can you get a usa made box new at this price? Yes its made in the Waterloo plant. the foreign materials are the slides, casters.

Heres all you need to know regardless of which packout you get in less than 3 years they will have a better one that has the layout you really wanted. So yes it's money pit. 2 years ago, Drawers are awesome, guess what now they have even better layout drawers.

When I bought my first home in 2008, I purchased a set of Rigid tools on sale. Circular saw, impact, and driver as a set. I remodeled that home and have done a lot projects on my current homestead as well. They've been very reliable, not a single problem. I also have quite a few Hercules tools, and, for the price, they've been decent. I had to warranty replace a multi-tool and a table-saw within 6 months each. Every new tool I buy now is Rigid if it's available. It's the best price/quality for me with moderately heavy DIY use.

It’s thick because of good vibration dampening. Still overpriced for an old brushed model. The black brushless version is very expensive and big but has great vibration dampening. Compared to the black brushless MakitA I’m sure the black MakitA is better but overpriced The battery flange on the Metabo Hpt battery I find helpful so youget used to not place it down with a small battery and accidentally damage surfaces. It’s good habit for this tool and grinder and drills. I don’t think this is the intended purpose I believe it is for better vidration dampening not just protecting the battery like you mentioned. Especially in these tools brands like Bosch also excel compared to Dewalt and Milwaukee to sacrifice power for a smoother cut

This actually has nothing to do with Ryobi and everything to do with something you actually bring up in the video: Brushed vs Brushless. Just buy Brushless tools and you'll be golden. It's old technology in Brushed that is keeping the market held back. Thankfully all the cheap 12v and 16.8v tools are going Brushless now so the tech has finally shifted.

LifeTime warranty is pretty sweet on the Metabo but if the Makita never fails, I prefer the reliability . I’ve used my Makita tools for 30 years and I’ve only had to replace one angle grinder after my worker totally abused it and didn’t clean it after working with stone. Just bought my first makita impact wrench to leave in my SUV as I’ve changed 2 tires in 1 week on my wife’s Camry . Manual work is difficult. Using an impact wrench cut my tire changing time in 2/3.

Great video. I like mine but I'm having trouble running my cooler. It powers off if the cooler doesn't kick in. Is there an eco mode that I should turn off? Any ideas?
