Just finished watching your throttle body cleaning video…. Holy moly it was dirty. Tacoma has 61k and had never had it cleaned. Tons of filth caked in there. Will let computer settle next few days and then I’ll do the maf Best Tacoma videos around
Nice. Since i did the throttle body yesterday im going to hold off a few days to do MAF. 1 thing i like to do is give a few days in between repairs or maintenence just in case something goes wacky, this way im not wondering which thing i did that may have caused the wack out. Ive gotto say,ive done so much stuff to my truck this year thanks to T.O.D. A few things i may have not done at all because i wasnt even aware of the importance, much less the existence of some things. Thanks Tyler & Greg💪
Great video. Just did this. Decided it was worth undoing the big hose clamp and moving the air cleaner top to the bench for removing the two screws that hold the MAF sensor in place. If they can drop and disappear, they will.
I did it!! Was having hi idle an massive mpg loss, together with throttle body clean and new air filter, I can hear a difference, big trip tomorrow looking forward to reading odometer at next fillup

Picked up my TB cleaner. Had 1/3 van but can never have too much. Got that on the ‘to-do’ list this weekend. Ran out of time doing lawn maintenance and retrieving mother in law from hospital. 😮 3 days off should give me enough time for all the home repairs/corrections.
I love your videos but id like to add to this, the sensor outside of the maf is air intake temp, the air flow sensor is inside that box air is forced in and measured as it leaves , best practice is to spray inside the inlet/outlet and keeping the sensor opening pointing downward while spraying inside this way i feel you dont over saturate the resister inside as you cant see it and trying to clean as best as possible and important wear eye protection ! Good luck guys 👍👍👍👍

This question is for both this video and your other video regarding the throttle body valve cleaning. Would isopropyl alcohol be okay to use instead? I have access to plenty of that and those specialty cleaner sprays get can expensive.
@@AlexanderMcQueen-h1r I’ll say a hard no. I’ve seen isopropyl alcohol leave hard stains on plastics… thankfully these cleaners can be had shipped free in a two pack (the throttle body cleaner as well) for under $10 bucks I believe.
Can I clean both the throttle body and maf at the same time? I’m assuming doing both at the same time wouldn’t do the computer any harm given that it’s all intake related
