      It really is, and so simply put. You can explain to some obstinate jerk what it really means until you’re blue in the face. It’s not exclusionary at all, and that saying “all lives matter” is ignorant and dismissive. That’ll get you nowhere. Besides, I’m quite convinced that people who say that got - and comprehended - that memo long ago; they simply won’t admit they were wrong, and mostly say it simply to troll and get a rise out of people, because they’re assholes. And all Michael Che had to say was: “just matters 🤷🏾”

Doesn't he even acknowledge that? Where does that comparison come from? Races of people should be treated equally not with a higher priority like our wives. I mean you are right you wouldn't tell your wife that and you should treat races of people different then your wife. All lives matter saying it differently would be like having 2 sons Aj and TJ and wearing a TJ matters shirt everywhere

      It makes sense if you think about it. To be a comedian you have to have life experience. You have to have already done a bunch of shit and be witty enough to present it in a way that is both funny and makes people think. No one ever got a Netflix special because their father was on SNL. You don't get spots at the Comedy Store just because you went to the right school and no one can dig up any dirt on you, you have to actually be good. To be a politician you just have lived boring, pampered life and have a lot of money.

      @wredmatic 4 ปีที่แล้ว +32

      @@cassteaelle7460 "black lives matter too" implies that other ethnic groups are treated as though their lives matter, but black lives aren't, and what the group wants is simply to be treated like everyone else. The phrase emphasizes inequality. Another way to look at it is "black lives matter too" is a comparative statement, while "black lives matter" is an absolute/standalone statement. Absolute statements can be (mis)interpreted in more ways, and are thus more susceptible to criticism. For starters, I guarantee no one would've responded with "all lives matter too." And btw I didn't say they "needed" to do anything, only that they would've gotten more support.

And I now see that it was stupid of me and ridiculous to need to clarify anything when the statement black lives matter is completely fine as it is.

    • @XxVeexX19

      @Alin Ardelean you're missing the point entirely. He's making a commentary on how American culture generally only gives a shit about you if it's in relation to white people. Before Floyd how many times have you heard "few bad apples" and "not all cops are bad"? Before video? People didn't even believe this was happening to black people at all. You're either being intentionally obtuse or very naive. And when I said someone whooshed, I was referring to you because like it not, racism is very much a problem in America, today in 2020. We're still asking for things our parents and grandparents were fighting for. We are still not considered really a part of America. It's like we just happen to be here but don't actually matter as Che is saying. I suggest you go educate yourself on how deep this really goes. It's more than the police brutality. It's much more than that. As a black person, you're reality and rules for your life are not the same as it is for white people. Hell any person of color, ie someone not white, is likely to tell you the same about their lives. That's what he's talking about. Black people literally want to be on par in every facet of our lives as to white people. The reality is, we're not. Is it as bad as it was for our parents and grandparents, no we have made progress, but we aren't there yet.

Under that same flag Black wall street was burned to the ground, Emmet Till was unjustly murdered, Latasha Harlins was killed over orange just and many more people didnt get justice. Yet under that same flag someone like Dylan roof could kill nine people in a church after a 2 hour sermon and live to eat burger king before being taken into police custody.
      So when people keep mentioning the flag do yall ever keep these things in mind or do you just use it as a point of deflection just like people use all lives/white lives/blue lives (which dont fucking exist) as deflection to the issue of black lives not mattering historically in the country?

    When I first saw this video this morning I thought.
    "This guy really caught what has been going on in the last week."
    So I went to see the date the video was posted ... 3 MONTHS AGO?! And we're still in the same shit?

      @Annanymous it's a shame that BLM and racial issues only come up every election cycle.🤔

      You can drop this bit anytime after 1927 in America, and the only way it'd be out of place would be the film quality.

      Biblioteca Belmonte I think he actually did this about two years ago, not even 3 months ago. And we’re still fighting the same fight. It feels like he did it in response to what’s been happening recently. Isn’t that something?

      Ummm... Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy, George Carlin, ect. There's been a plethora of people talking about this since liberal speech was TRULY advocated in the broadcast media.
