Dogs are so cute! 🐶
Your first reaction video for 2023 Sophie🥂👍🏽 Bolt is one of my favorite dog movies🐶 should you watch " Underdog 2007" next Sophie🐕❤💙🤍
Just out of curiousity: In another life, what breed of dog or cat would you want to be? Personally I'd go with a border collie or a borzoi.
...🐶
Out of curiosity, have you ever wanted like to own a lot of pets?
Pets absolutely can feel and are very aware; I have a dog named Piglet, and my bro took Piglet to bed with him about 2-3 weeks ago, and she stopped in the doorway, looked back at me, stared at me for a few moments before I said ''goodnight, Piglet'' and then she wagged her tail and walked out of the room. She waited for me to say goodnight to her. We don't deserve dogs.
omg this is SO CUTE 😭
I don't have pet's but I fully understand that I do my brothers cat and dog sitting now and then. Anyone who says animals don't have feelings or are not aware... Do not understant world or their surrounding. We are all part of nature and how we treat animal's show's are what we truly are. How can someone be kind to human's while being cruel to animals? Such people are only waiting to be cruel to humans.
@@SophieLents Definitely! I had a feeling you'd love this movie too! I watched this back when I was like 9 or 10 and I still love it at my age. Also, some of the scenes in the movie never made me laugh as much as now. And one thing I didn't know until today, was that Mittens was a girl. Sorry.😅
@@SophieLents when are you going to react to Mulan 2 ?
@@kristhomas2326 No don't recommend that
The fact that Mittens always put up that tough persona and threatened the pigeons with “the claws” but it was all an act she had to put up to survive, she was declawed (which leaves cats constantly in pain) :(
I always love stories of characters that develop these tough acts to survive or because they’ve only been hurt by being vulnerable before and learning to trust again
While you absolutely should never declaw your cats. They can still hunt and feed themselves (they just can't climb well) we had a big tomcat (was declawed when we got him) that was one of the best mousers we had.
@@blobbertmcblob4888Well it usually leaves them with chronic pain and make it much harder to hunt. They also have a harder time jumping and climbing. Also statistics from Google for you incase you don’t trust me : One study found that 42% of declawed cats had ongoing long-term pain and about a quarter of declawed cats limped. In up to 15% of cases, the claws can eventually regrow after the surgery.
Another source says: Declawing can cause paw pain, back pain, infection, tissue necrosis (tissue death) and lameness. Removing claws changes the way a cat's foot meets the ground and can cause pain like wearing an uncomfortable pair of shoes. Improperly removed claws can regrow, causing nerve damage and bone spurs.
Another says: Cats that have been declawed often suffer from prolonged, long-term anxiety, stress, depression, are more fear, have no ability to protect themselves, and sometimes are more prone to biting if scared, as their first line of defense-their claws-have been removed.
Another: Feeling defenseless without her claws, Kitty may become hostile to people (including you), and to other cats and become more apt to bite. Some cats develop an aversion to their litter box because of the pain associated with scratching in the litter after a declawing procedure.
I know they can hunt by biting but it’s much harder and it sound like you are down playing the consequences, I know you might not be trying to do that but people seriously think this is ok to do so anything that makes it even a little less can give them an excuse in their eyes.
Bruh, the hamster thing at the end was so mind blowing. Like I knew the fact that hamsters don't live long and stuff, but I never put two and two together and always looked at the ending like "lived happily ever after". But now... Oh man.
I’m sorry for ruining it for you 😭
@@SophieLents You ruined Hamtaro for me
Eh, Rhino's got a couple-three years in him yet. My headcanon is he's the hamster equivalent of late teens, early twenties. My brother's hamster lived to 3 1/2 years.
@@ShinyAvalonMy hamster lived for 3. I always figured Rhino was at least 1 year old 🤔
@@unripetheberrby6283 - Hamsters are full grown at 12 weeks. So, going by maximim optimism, Rhino is 3-4 months old when he meets Bolt, has been bingeing the Bolt series through "on demand" service, and will live happily with Bolt and Mittens for a little over three solid years. That's my headcanon and I'm sticking to it. ;)
its still a mystery to me why this movie is so underrated. when it came out back in 2008, disney hadnt been doing too well, and the success of this movie's release pretty much saved the company.
this has been my all-time favorite movie ever since i saw it as a little kid
Bolt is a white GSD (German Shepherd dog). For the longest time, though, I thought he was a different breed since he has such a short and kinda stubby design. They did this to make him more appealing to the eyes.
He's nowhere near the size of a shepherd lol. He's like, sheltie sized, probably just meant to be a mixed breed.
@@blobbertmcblob4888 If you Google him, you'll find his Wikipedia page and Disney Wikia page; they both confirm that he's a white GSD
@@graciemack2002 Actually he’s a White Swiss Shepherd which is a smaller breed from the German variety. You’re half right.
@@robbieking4070 After looking up his breed and looking at pics of White Swiss shepherd, you're probably right! Kudos!
this was one of my favorite movies when I was younger 🙂
Rightfully so
@@SophieLents When you were talking about the pigeons having different color, that reminded me of something pretty nice worth watching when I was a kid.
Alvin and the Chipmunks! Or at least the second movie and third movie. Those two are my favorites! it's worth watching in the time of winter. If your ever interested, you'll understand what I mean.
Hmmmm. Lots of murder scenes in it lol
This movie came out when I was 16, and am not embarrassed to say I talked about it relentlessly with everyone I knew! Still a favorite as a 30 year old dude!
so underrated!!
This movie's been around for 14 years?!
The Truman Show: canine version.
The reason the other animal performers can be in the know is because they are merely supporting cast. They don’t get as much screen time. So it doesn’t particularly matter [to the director guy] whether they are “method acting” or not.
-Bolt is the *_star;_* the one whom the whole show hangs on. That’s the difference.
Mittens is such a cute, sassy kitty... I'd adopt her in a heartbeat, if I had the financial means.
Until recently I "shared custody" over a cute, lil snuggle guy that lives in our block. His owner left him behind and only the sister and her mean-a** dog were there. Kitty would run around with open wounds regularly and become extremely thin. But he was still the sweetes little love bug... So at one point this neighbour from across the street began to feed him and to build him scratching posts, and I let him sleep at my place and feed and clean him up.
Recently he stopped coming to my place though, I don't know why, but he acts like he's afraid of the house... I don't wanna force him to come to my place and I know he has a home at the other neighbours place. He loves him and takes care of him the way he deserves. We talked about it as well, but if he choses to ever wanna stay at my place I'll have food, snacks and a warm couch or bed for him.
This is one of the most underrated movies ever made and it's one of my favorite Disney movies. I have no idea why it doesn't get enough love because it's so good.
disney figured out it was about them
This movie was overshadowed by the ones that came after it, The Princess and the Frog, Tangled, and Frozen. In that respect, it's kind of like Oliver and Company, which was followed by The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, and The Lion King.
And _The Rescuers Down Under._ Also underrated and overshadowed.
"I have the attention span of a spoon" I've never heard that one before, but I'm definitely stealing it now.
Rhino is like a kid that loves a TV show and they believe that it is for real. Many kids think that characters like Mickey Mouse, Bugs Bunny or Scooby Doo are for real, even I believed that when I was a kid.
If you've seen "Who framed Roger Rabbit" Bob Hopkins kids didn't talk to him for weeks after the movie came out because he worked with Mickey and Bugs and didn't introduce them.
I think i first saw this movie when i was like 4 or 5, and the three things i remember from that experience are:
1. Wanting to be every single animal on screen at all times (the pigeons, hamster, and evil cats mostly lol)
2. Being unreasonably attached to the carrot toy, and feeling very strong emotion every time it was on screen
And 3. Being very confused by the plot cause i didn't realize the 'filmed' parts were 'filmed' even though they clearly explain it, since my child's self plot comprehension was near non-existent (thus i was also very confused on why Bolt couldn't use his powers sometimes)
Anyway thanks for bringing back one of my more confusing childhood memories, appreciate it lmao
I remember when I was a child I used to roleplay this movie with my friends because we enjoyed it so much in cinema 😂 crazy old times...
I'm so glad you watched this, this has been my favourite Disney movie ever since I was a kid! Very underrated imo!
Bolt is a White Shepard, although he bigger proportions compared to how big the breed it is in real life. They did that to make him look cuter.
I used to watch this film so many times with my sister when we were kids so going through your reaction was like watching it for the first time in ages with someone new
Great reaction vid Sophie 😁
Glad you enjoyed it
This movie was criminally underrated and one of my personal favorites for two reasons: the animals, and bc Miley Cyrus voiced Penny, and this was when I was a major Hannah Montana fan.
I wonder why it never really caught on?
@@StoryMing I think it got overshadowed over time
@@nisarojas2869 nah disney figured out it was about them and the bts

This is one of the few movies out of hundreds that I watched in my life that made me cry several times since I was a kid, and I still do as a grown up man, that says it all
0:48 yeah I agree with you. I can’t decide between both dogs and cats because I just love both of them and I will definitely not tolerate either dog abuse or cat abuse 🐶🐱🐶🐱❤❤❤❤
Bolt was always my favourite animation (till I watched Luca) and I always thought that it was so underrated ❤️ Thank you so much for this reaction 🥰
❤️
Major Toy Story vibes. Both Bolt and Buzz think that they're superpowered beings.
Poor bolt was so gaslighted, poor baby
Yup, Bolt is a very underrated movie for literally no reason. 😉 It's cute and it's a good watch.
17:24 HERE COMES THE TRAIN!!!!!
"You can't make nor buy loyalty and love."
Probably someone while making this movie - 2008
And it is especially true for animals!
I love this Disney film. It is an interesting break from their usual. The main theme of Bolt isn't so much the love between Bolt and Penny, but of animal abuse. You were dead on with what it was doing to him, and this happens in real life. Animals trust us when we train them to react in certain ways. When guard dogs are trained to attack intruders, and see anyone they don't recognize as an intruder, they aren't being a bad dog. They are protecting their loved ones and home as they were told is appropriate.
Fun fact this was the first movie I cried to
I'm sure Mittens wasn't exactly gonna kill Bolt but to knock him out so she can escape. To her Bolt is a mad dog at that point.
12:28 Awwww.. I thought you were going for a Liar, Liar approach
Kitty soft paws makes me sad as hell, imagine your people the ones meant to love and protect you. Permanently multilateral your feet and then dump you like it was for nothing. The worst part is that this actually happens hundreds of times on a daily basis, it hurts that I can’t rescue and keep every abandoned or unloved animal, but especially cats. Cats are my loves 🙃
Kith Soft Paws? She’s from Puss in Boots.
@@SonicPlayer2004 yeah I’d literally just watched puss in boots before I watched the reaction and I got the names mixed up cause they’re almost identical 😂 my bad
Bolt is voiced by John Travolta and Penny is voiced by Miley Cyrus. I really like this movie. And I really like Rhino’s speech to Bolt and the song Barking at the moon
As a hufflepuff and a huge Oswald fan, all my praise goes to your profile.
@@kronk2.094 Thank you 😄
@Tukio oh yeah one for real Penny and another for the second one
Speaking of MIley Cyrus, Chloe Grace Moretz was going to voice Penny at first, but at some point during the production, it was decided that Miley Cyrus would voice her instead, though Moretz' voice was still used during the prologue scene. And while I can't say whether bringing in Cyrus was a correct decision, I think it actually makes sense that someone else would voice Penny during most of the film since prologue of the film takes place 5 years before the film's main event starts.
Oh same on those two parts, some of my favorites that always gives me many feels
Just like with you, I too didn't catch on that Mittens threatening at the beginning was a lie cuz she reveals later she was declawed. It took me a couple of more watches to realize the fact.
This is one of those movies that gets me emotional every time I watch it, and I saw it a lot when I was younger so I get a lot of nostalgia from it too. So happy that you checked it out, really enjoyed the video as always!
Same I cry every time;_;
I like that they situate in which part of the US we’re currently in using the Pigeon’s accents, it’s so creative lol
I absolutely love this movie! It's a lost Disney gem!
Poor Bolt. He was gaslighted by the studio set and that agent tricked him into thinking his quirks were real which could have cost him Penny. Its somehow a good thing Mittens helped him be an actual dog and showed him that being quirkless has its perks and real life is better. At least Penny genuinely loves him! I'm glad she got him out of his shell
I couldn't keep my laughter in when you thought the intro was real 😂 I remember figuring it out as a child. But cute.
8:50 my guess is that penny tells bolt the plan and bolt follows
And just thinking about bolt is really friggin smart
I want a bolt
Wondering about his breed, Bolt is a white German Shepherd. People say he seems small, but with the exaggerated proportions, he seems to just be short. My german shepherd, Axel, is around his same size
Bolt is technically a white Swiss shepherd.
I loved this movie a lot as a kid, it was one of THE main animated movies of the 2000's for me. It's unfortunately not as iconic in the eyes of the general audience as say Beauty and the Beast or the Lion King but I still think it's a classic!
Nah, that dog-walker wasn’t stealing him, she saw a loose dog and got him on a leash so she could keep him from running off and getting hurt while she figured out how to get him home - she asked out loud whether he was lost, presumably she was planning on pulling him closer to read the info on his collar tag and find a phone number to call to contact his owner.
I had a collie mix who was an escape artist and got out of our yard often, and I can’t tell you the number of times we got a call from one of the neighbors who’d found him and wanted to let us know to come get him. One time, the lady who found him didn’t have a leash to secure him with, so she tied her scarf to his collar and used it as a leash instead. 😂
This is such an underrated film. It's one of my favs. Thanks.
I loved that country song, very relaxing
18:58 LOL 🤣🤣
I remember seeing bolt in theaters when I was a kid and being obsessed with the film, getting a penny cosplay, completing the video game twice, having all the merchandise, and someday I’ll get a cat named mittens and a White German Shepard named bolt. Sorry, not into hamsters. This movie still makes me tear up in certain places even as an adult. Mittens backstory is so sad and will break any animal lovers heart. I wish more people watched this amazing movie. And I think the reason it’s not talking about as much is because of the marketing and the fact that there were more popular anticipated movies that year and the fact that Princess And The Frog and Tangled would come out the following two years and were definitely more successful so Disney just forgot about bolt. Which is sad because it’s my favorite Disney movie ever!
Not to mention that Bolt also had some competition the month it came out. It had to deal with Twilight on the same day (which that film became a huge phenomenon) and family competition from Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa two weeks after.
Actually Princess And The Frog didn't to as well as Bolt did. Princess And The Frog only gets more Disney's attention because it's a princess movie. Believe me, if it wasn't for Bolt Disney probably wouldn't be as successful today, as it was one of most successful Disney movie of 2000s and kickstarted new Disney renaissance. Disney really need to do new Bolt stuff to raise his popularity, especially now because this year is Bolt's 15th anniversary.
6:04 what I get is that the moive could have ended here if anyone said to the guy who is uncannily similar to UpIsNotJump "what if we zoom a bit on this specific scene just enough to hide the mic? Or CGI it out?"
New subscriber, nice job on making me happy. Thanks for your content
Yes!!!!!!!!! Underrated gem from Disney right there!
Bolt, is a film that pet lovers like me as well, the best character is Mittens because she's an iconic kitty
She's like the baby sitter
Yessss I've been waiting for this reaction for so long, this movie was my favorite as a kid, these days when i watch it i always cry:(
omg this movie was my childhood and I loved watching it with you sophie
I absolutely loved this movie when I was a kid even tho it took me SO MANY watches to finally understand what was going on 😅
Also Bolt is a white German Shepherd 🥺
Sophie Lents, official representative of Pigeons Diversity in Animation 🐦✊
You'd probably love Aristocats if you love adorable cats as much as you are loving this adorable dog.
I discovered that bolt is based of a Swiss White Shepherd Dog, mostly the puppy version of it
That's the dog breed of bolt
Bolt is one of my favorite childhood movies
I've always wanted there to be a spinoff show, about the show the characters act in. Maybe Rhino is talking about how he would write the show, and hence avoiding the ending of the actual show in the movie.
Rhino writes fanfiction. Yes.
Bolt can be a number of dog breeds: Laika, White Swiss, Belgian Shepherd (altho that is more sand shade), Eskimo Dog, etc. Really depends on whether he's still a pup or already at his full size.
But if you want a real life super speed super strong dog: Borzoi.
Bolt Is a white German Shepard shrunk down for plot convenience. That was confirmed by the creators as a white German Shepard was brought in to the studio to be the model for his character. It’s a rare breed of German Shepard. Also another breed of the white German Shepard is the Swiss white German Shepard.
@@MagdalenaRay61 Christ, why are people so stupid? "White german shepherd" is not a breed, it's a color and it's not all that rare.
I saw a picture online of a white German shepherd with slight dwarfism, he looked exactly like Bolt. That's my headcanon. ;)
One of my favorite movies, made me cry
Pixar's Wall-E and Dreamwork's Kung Fu Panda and Madagascar 2 came out the same year before Bolt. Madagascar 2 released in theaters a few weeks before Bolt and when adults look at a Disney movie with a cute dog on the front, they just see a kids movie that isn't worth watching.
I remember the commercials and trailers gave away the fake powers twist to make the road trip story sound more interesting but it just felt even more predictable. If they didn't completely give away the twist, it would look like a super dog trying to find his owner and get a lot more attention.
Fun fact: Disney Animation created their own fur simulation for this movie and never touched it again until Zootopia.
Lol her its a movie set, i feel so fooled is hilarious couldn't stop laughing.
I LOVE that you have the same opinion as me on the "dogs or cats?" I love dogs, and I love cats!!
If you ever owned a hamster you'd know that they are either always out for blood or always out to kill themselfs
Did you say that the cat was the head of a syndi-cat?? Lol
I did just that haha
@@SophieLents 😂🤣 That's hilarious

You should check out "The Incredible Journey" from 1963. There's a 1993 version called "Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey" that I like as well. I've seen both but the 1963 version was so long ago. I've read the book and cannot remember which was the best.
Bolt is a white German Shepherd breed. If you wanted to know lol
I saw this movie when i was little and i believed that Bolt is a dog that has superpower and lost it because of the styrofoam. It's not until i rewatched it again and realized the truth🙄
Yay one of my favorite Disney movies in my top 5 you see bolt as a puppy I have one just like him with a black spot in his back but just as cute. I hope you check out some Disney classics from the 90s
fun fact originally bolt was meant to discover that his powers were fake by getting into a dogfight!
theres an official storyboard for it and everything, you can find it on youtube with 'bolt deleted scene dog fight'
Not sure but I think here in Sweden, it's a bit stricter when it comes to truck drivers. The times I have been on high ways, I have never seen any trucks going faster than the speed limit for trucks (because they're long heavy vehicles) which is 90 km/h (about 55 mph) even we have highways whose speed limits are 120 km/h (74,5 mph).
I just realized that Mittens in this movie is literally just Kitty Softpaws from Puss in Boots
Declawing cats is actually illegal in many places, but the main reason I hate it is because it causes physical pain and emotional trauma on the cats (both can be permanent, by the way). It's disgusting.
I just realised that they did that to her, I hadn’t realised that they did that to her until this watch. I feels I sad for her:( I love her so much and that did that to my poor child:( now I’m gonna go and cry, excuse me
Dogs and cats I love pretty equally.. But when it comes to care and cost dogs are alot more demanding and more expensive to keep.. My dog turns 10 years old this year , People still say cute puppy And then try to guess his age..lol Once my dog is gone no more pets for me , i'm done.. Over the few decades I've had about 30ish cats and dogs , time to retire being a pet owner in my 40s.. If you're wondering why , as a pet owner you're always tied down It's literally like having a child Especially with dogs, I just want to try Not having to worry about a pet.. And I did my fair share of owning and caring for pets I think I deserve the time off 😂 Love this movie by the way
The breed of bolt is a Swiss white shepherd Dog hoped this helped👍
trucks only slow down on hills and turns and only them lol
Fun fact: Bolt is a White German Shepard
To short to be that.
Think that Bolt has been overshadowed by WALL-E which was released the same year as Bolt (also Bolt was nominated an Academy Award for Best Animated movie but lost to WALL-E and I don't blame them, WALL-E is fantastic) and over the years, other movies like Tangled, Frozen, Big Hero 6, Moana/Vaina, Zootopia/Zootropolis, not to mention Pixar movies like Toy Story 3, Inside Out and Coco, have overshadowed it as well.
I probably lean more towards dog nowadays but I too am in both camps. If it has a paw, I say awww :)
I´ve seen this movie in the cinema with my best friend when it came out and it was a huge thing, no idea why it died down
What you said about crazy truck drivers, here in Brazil is no different🤦♂️
I haven't seen this in forever, but it's as cute as I remember
Thanks for the video Sophie. :)
Also, I used to be both a dog and a cat person as well Sophie. I feel you. 😢
"The Hamster is going to die soon" Well....damn...
“the hamster is gonna die soon though… i don’t know why i just said that”

Nice you reacted to Bolt!
I really like this movie and of course the game which sadly I couldn't finish but bolt is my favorite character since I love german shepherds 😊
Just from me: This is exactly how dog behave when their protective!!!! And the director doesn't even care!!!!!!!! That lady should've done fired him by now........
I really don’t know why Disney don’t did a Bolt the superdog series so we could actually feel like we are audience of the movie
This is one of the few Disney movies that made me bawl like an idiot
I love Mittens so much😭
Oh my gosh for some reason this movie reminded me of Anastasia which is a really good movie you should watch too
He is a mini white German shepherd
🤣 For some reason I misread your title as "I loved it at first..." 😂
