Responding to the first part of the video, I also only watched Home Alone 3 growing up. They constantly replayed the less popular sequels of popular movies on things like Disney channel so I hadn’t seen the first 2 until college.
Hey Holden, hey Jenna, Merry Christmas to you and a Happy New Year. I absolutely love the first two Home Alone films, they are one of my favorite Christmas movies of all time, always having a good laugh and having fun no matter how many times I watch them. The other sequels are not nearly as good, not by a long shot, compared to these two. Macaulay Culkan, Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern, in my personal opinion, are the faces of this franchise. I hope one day we get classics like this again because unfortunately Hollywood doesn’t make Christmas movies like this anymore.
Kevin's uncle must be positively LOADED, having a multiple-story brownstone in Manhattan and not just having minor renovations, but having the entire thing gutted and re-done. Those things are worth millions.
To be fair to kevin in the first film. He only said he hated them after telling his mother "everybody hates me!" to which she basically affirms that and does not try to convince him otherwise.
Adjusted for inflation, Kevin’s room service bill of $967.43 in November 2024 is $2,150.93. Imagine two grand worth of ice cream, chocolate bars, cookies, milk shakes… lol.
@@Zepol-sg3ozidk he lost his kid AGAIN, this time in 90s New York. I think the super rich guy got off easy here with just a $2k bill and not one less kid lol
Fun fact: The scene where he plays the tv really loud and they all jump into the hallway those were real guests staying there that poked their heads out 😂😂
Duncan was rewarding Kevin for not only catching Marv and Harry, but for saving the donations saved for the children's hospital was being collected that day. Regardless of being top 1% wealthy in a Presidential Suite at the hotel... it was a gesture for saving the hospital's Christmas. Also... I recently saw a post about Daniel Stern (Marv) having given up the Hollywood actor life and, now, living on a farm where he is a wood carver.
There are a few things that Kevin does to Harry and Marv in the first movie that potentially could’ve killed them. Almost everything he does to them in this movie is guaranteed death. Marv’s likely dead after brick #1.
I just have to say how much I love Home Alone 2: Lost in New York! It’s not just a repeat of the first movie; it’s even better imo, with Kevin navigating the chaos of New York City while trying to avoid those criminals. Tim Curry as the concierge is hilarious, and I love how Kevin grows by helping a children’s charity instead of just defending his house. The traps he sets are even more inventive and funny
Fun Fact: Daniel Stern, the actor who played Marv was gonna be paid less than Joe Pesci for this movie so he negotiated for 1% of the movie's gross profits and royalties instead. He made way more money that way. Then he invested it and now he has a farm where he makes juice and sells sculptures for like $30,000 a piece.
Its kind of weird how you see Kevin getting on that plane and you think to yourself "Was this movie made before 9/11?" And then the movie answers that question for you about 10 min later.
"she's from Addams Family." Oh I know. Like your kid is watching Home Alone on repeat, mine is watching both Addams Family movies over and over and over...
Happy Holidays you guys!!! I absolutely loved this reaction, and this was the first Home Alone movie I’ve watched on the VHS, and it’s a top three Christmas classic in my opinion. I do love the first two films, but this is my favorite.
One fun detail about Home Alone 2’s concierge Mr. Hector (the guy walking in on the shower scene at the hotel) is also the same man who played Palpatine in the later seasons of the Clone Wars after Ian Abercombie passed away.

Jen, Trump was actually the owner of the Plaza at the time, so the only payment he asked from the movie team was a cameo, as he always does. The bill at the end is JUST the room service, not the first suite.

Poor Marv. I think this one is genuinely more funny than the original
there was a point in my life where i had this movie on repeat, maybe even over a month, and this was back when I had it on VHS so I had to rewind it every time
Hi Jen and holden watching home alone two with you guys it is Christmases eve so home alone is one of my favorite holiday movies Jen I love your videos holden you are one handsome dude can't blame you home alone movies are on all the time take my word for it enjoy the movie your friend always Chrissy.
The lesson i learned from watching Home Alone is that being poor sucks!!!! 😂
Great reaction guys.
Please watch Home Alone 3 next! It's my favorite one out of the 3!
Being a kid is finding all the comic back-breaking shenanigans awesome... Being an adult is weeping like a baby at the old man in the first movie and the pigeon lady in this one.
I genuinely also liked Home Alone 3
That brick scene never gets old 😄
I like the theory that Keven grows up the be Jigsaw from the Saw movies.
Being raised exclusively with Home Alone 3 sounds like some strange social experiment! 😅
Holden, I have the same LOTR sweater! Love it!
I’m in your camp Holden. The third was my favorite as a kid and holds a place in my heart still even though it may not be the best of the 3
Every-time I watch the 1st and 2nd and see how Kevin’s violence has increased, the old SAW theory of Kevin is John Kramer is 100% correct
Can we all just agree that the real villain in the first two movies is Uncle Frank?
I too have a soft spot for the third movie, hope you get to share it with Jen. the 4th and 5th movies are also worth a watch.
My wife has a soft spot from her childhood for Home Alone 3. I was in the hate camp. But I rewatched it with her and it wasn’t too bad. It wasn’t home alone to me, but not “bad” fun kids movie.
10:58 The moneyshot.
Holden I feel you on Home Alone 3! I grew up with all 3 movies. We actually had Home Alone 3 in English and in Spanish. Love all 3 movies
"its got the twin towers, Donald Trump and Child neglect.... Merry Christmas everyone!"
Laughed way too hard at that lmao
