I've hacked a Magic Guard Shedinja before. It was surprisingly effective with Focus Sash, Endeavor, Pursuit, Shadow Sneak, and Bullet Punch lol. I may have actually traded out Shadow Sneak for Recycle. It went with a Wonder Guard Sableye that had a Lum Berry with Taunt, Dragon Dance, Phantom/Shadow Force, and Close Combat. Also on the team was a No Guard Ninjask with Scope Lens, Sheer Cold, Stone Edge (for Sturdy Shuckle), Sacred Fire (for Sturdy Skarmory/Fortress), and Dynamicpunch (for Sturdy Bastiodon). Also I had a really creative set for my little nephew. I gave him a Timid Mew with max SpAtk and max Speed. Its ability was Wonder Guard, and it had Air Balloon, Thunderbolt, Conversion, Calm Mind, and Psyshock. Now, this was in gen 5, so Conversion just changed the Pokemon to a random type out of its moves instead of whatever move is in the first slot. But, Conversion can't pick itself or any type that the user already is, so that only left Thunderbolt, so it'd make Mew Electric, and since it had an Air Balloon, it had no weakness. Very few things could beat it as long as he made sure to use Conversion on it right away. I also gave him a Sheer Force Mewtwo with Life Orb, Psychic, Flamethrower (for Bug), Shadow Ball (for Ghost), and Signal Beam (for Dark), but the Mew was his fave lol.

48 HP. Divisible by all the fractions that affect HP (I think), so hazards and status aren't instant death anymore, but they and super effective moves can still take it out.
Here's an interesting concept for a video: "How GOOD was Hidden Power ACTUALLY?" You've mentioned the move dozens of times over the course of these videos, citing it as a versatile and powerful move in most respects. An in-depth analysis on the move could be quite interesting.
*Shedinja vs the most powerful Pokemon* Dialga: *ROAR OF TIME* Shedinja: Time is just an illusion.. Palkia: *SPACIAL REND* Shedinja: You cannot create or destroy matter. Get your physics together. Phantom Force was attained in a later gen, which does allow it to avoid Shadow Force by moving second and being untargettable. Requires the read of Shadow Force to begin with, but pretty funny strat all things considered
Fun fact: The defense stats from Nincada are split between Shedinja and Ninjask. Which makes sense as it is losing its shell, which makes it lose all that protection for the shell and puts it on Shedinja
I went up against it in the Battle Factory in Emerald and I was royally screwed ‘cause I had no idea how Wonder Guard worked. That put me off of returning for a while.
Well, since according to the Pokédex, using it will literally steal your soul, you have every reason to be terrified. That and the fact it's literally a zombie.
Shedinja has a good niche in Gen 8 OU stall as the only Pokemon immune to Volt Switch/Flip Turn/U-turn, greatly limiting the momentum of teams that rely on those moves, not to mention having Heavy Duty Boots to negate the entry hazards as well as Pursuit being removed and Knock Off having much less distribution. It also had a great niche in Gen 8 Ubers for walling both Zacian forms before they were banned.

Even better when you use a single level 20 shedinja and beat Wallace/Juan by spamming fury cutter because he can't hurt you haha. Had a good time doing that in Pokemon ruby.
I wish Wonder Guard would also block residue damage, unless it's from the type the pokemon's weak against. That way Shedinja wouldn't be instantly killed be Spikes, Sandstorm (both ground), Toxic (poison) or Hail (ice). However it'd still be weak to Stealth Rocks (rock) or Burn status (fire). It's broken, but at least it wouldn't make Shedinja completely useless.
It can be an empty party slot sometimes, but still one of my favorite Pokémon ever. It's like the Pokémon I would like to leave out of it's pokéball wherever I'd go. I'm always hoping for it to become immune to status/weather and only be hit by direct supereffective moves...
Oh! my holy bug, was designed for it's debut Gen, where double battles were introduced, and now he is good in VCG but not single battles, two claps for Game Freak for that gimmiky pokemon.
This little ghoul has always been fun to use. Takes alot of work to pull anything off with it though. I remember performing a half sweep with it in X and Y. It was great.
I always thought that Wonder Guard should've been able to block Supereffective hits, which would then mean that ONLY passive damage could beat Shedinja. Otherwise, Shedinja is too weak to really be useful most of the time.
I used Shedinja in Ubers singles in Gen6 with great success. Consistently getting to 1600 with it. It walled primal Kyogre and Xerneas completely and using Baton Pass it was the best pivot in the tier.
Just remembered when I was playing Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. SHEDINJA'S WAY TOO TANKY. CAN'T EVEN KILL HIM IN ONE HIT.😢 It almost took me 5 mins to kill a Shedinja.
iirc In mystery dungeon shedinja has 5 HP, and the regular attack still hurts it so if you don't have gravel rocks (which deal static 20 damage so OHKO's shedinja) you can use the regular attack 5 times. Problem is it's a ghost type so super annoying when they are hitting you through the wall, they were a pain to deal with in buried relic.
Just play a doubles battle and use an Audino and a Carbink to get Shedinja the sturdy ability and paralyze it so it cannot be burned or poisoned. Make sure Shedinja is holding safety googles for sandstorm and hail weather. Turn 1: Audino uses protect and carbink uses trick room. Turn 2 Audino uses heal pulse on Carbink to heal it if it was attacked and Carbink uses shill swap on Audino. Turn 3 switch out Carbink with Shedinja using entrainment on it will allow it to obtain the sturdy ability. Turn 4 use thunder wave with Audino on shedinja so it cannot again be poisoned or burned. Turn 5 Shedinja uses hone claws to boost it’s attack and accuracy. Turn 6 Start the sweep :D

Give it magic guard like Clefairy has as well as saying has to be super effective. Could hack a recycle magic guard focus scarf lol
@@Shin_FTW yeah thats fun. One we always talked about was just giving electross wonderguard and air balloon since he has such high offenses. Basically forces enemy to use trick or status.
It would be op though, i think for shedinja to be balanced they have to put hp on it

True but it's one of the novelties that can cause absolute butthurt if you play doubles. Soak shedinja is absolutely hilarious to play, assuming you get rid of grass or electric threats.

Best use for Shedinja... laughing as a low level one slowly chips away at the Kyogre you're trying to catches health.
Even better when you use a single level 20 shedinja and beat Wallace/Juan by spamming fury cutter because he can't hurt you haha. Had a good time doing that in Pokemon ruby.
Anyway, here's Wonder Guard.
I was hoping we'd get to hear about Balanced Hackmons on FSG
I always hated how Shedinja has defense stats, they should be 0 only to make it somewhat good.
But substitute Is Useless about that!
Maybe it refrence to Nincada Line. Nincada have 90 defense and when it evolve,Ninjask got 45 defense...
Maybe it's because of Ditto and substitute
Its because shedninja's stats are just the same as nincada's but 1 HP and the defense and attack swapped.
Me when nuzlocking: Oh no, I have to fight Kyogre what do I do?!
My Shedinja in the box: Bonjour
It can be an empty party slot sometimes, but still one of my favorite Pokémon ever. It's like the Pokémon I would like to leave out of it's pokéball wherever I'd go. I'm always hoping for it to become immune to status/weather and only be hit by direct supereffective moves...
I once looked through the back of Shedinja in my Pokedex, then my Wi-Fi disconnected.

Oh! my holy bug, was designed for it's debut Gen, where double battles were introduced, and now he is good in VCG but not single battles, two claps for Game Freak for that gimmiky pokemon.
Oh yes, the tankiest pokemon of all.
This little ghoul has always been fun to use. Takes alot of work to pull anything off with it though. I remember performing a half sweep with it in X and Y. It was great.
Shedinja having a gimmick by functioning as a guardian angel that intervenes to save allies is great flavor wise.
I always thought that Wonder Guard should've been able to block Supereffective hits, which would then mean that ONLY passive damage could beat Shedinja. Otherwise, Shedinja is too weak to really be useful most of the time.
Air lock = cloud nine
Sturdy = wonder guard That way

iirc In mystery dungeon shedinja has 5 HP, and the regular attack still hurts it so if you don't have gravel rocks (which deal static 20 damage so OHKO's shedinja) you can use the regular attack 5 times.
