Great video, super helpful. Made the "jump" to the T-16 only because i could get all the information on this channel. Now i have a great radio that uses crossfire for half the damn price!
My Jumper T-16 V2 Pro was such an enigma to me until I went through your playlist and diddled with the settings for a bit. Dang! This radio is complicated compared to my old (and I mean REALLY old) Futaba T8J. The Jumper takes a lot of getting used to, but your playlist is making it bearable. Finally got rid of all those switch and throttle warnings!!!! Anyway, thanks for all you do for the RC community.
This very same screen and OpenTx widget was and is used by FrSky X10 and X12 Horus for years. Yes, different price tag for a higher-end built quality and official FCC and CE certification, but worth to mention for completeness ;)
Joshua Bardwell Agreed, but do you know whether the unit has a CE marking and a declaration of conformity by now? There is some debate whether it has one (formally) or not. If not, this lovely radio is still illegal to use in Europe :(

Do you kn ow how to use a FrSky Lipo sensor to send the battery voltage in my fly wing when using a Crossfire TX module as an external RF on my RadioMaster TX16S? Is it possible, right now the battery voltage reading in the telemetry is reading the internal battery at 5V, not sending the battery info. from the wing itself? Can you please explain (if it is possible) how to get this to work so I can get my Lipo sensor information on my radio?
Hi Joshua. May I ask you smth? is that possible to set up on t16 radio sound event for decreasing battery percentage like in Mikado VControl, let's say I have 5000mah flight pack capacity and want to hear during flight 90% -> 80% -> 70% until zero. Thank you.
Hi joshua... I always follow ur guides. Need help regarding telemetry. Im using frsky x8r receiver vid t16s tx and f722se fc...im using sbus.. How do i do telemetry in this setup? Vid current connection (x8r to uart2), telemetry enabled, selected sbus in receiver... I cannt see new sensors on my t16s
You can connect the SmartPort telemetry wire from the receiver to an un-used UART TX pad on the FC. Enable SmartPort telemetry in the Ports tab for that UART number. Enable Telemetry in the Configuration tab.
Do you see the right gimbal jumping around slightly on the monitoring page? Mine is flipping between 1499/1500 on the pitch axis. I've tried recalibrating, but it never holds ppm centre.
Hi Joshua. I'm using crossfire nano and micro tx. I'm trying to debug an alert message "RSSI critical" that I heard from my Jumper T16 when I was flying the other day. I wasn't sure why I heard this because I'm using crossfire and not FrSKY XM+. I also made sure that RSSI channel and adc are disabled in betaflight. It scared me when I heard it. I thought it was going to failsafe but glad it didn't. I would like to know if that was really a valid alert that I must be worried. And also prevent T16 from saying it if it's not a useful signal strength indicator. Thank you.
Thanks for your work Joshua, I received my t16 on the weekend, and before I start transferring models over from my dx6e spektrum radio I wanted to check everything out for when I get some new model quads and planes with different protocols. I’ll definitely be getting at least one model with crossfire so that I can get some real distance, so I was wondering if I should get a module as well with a larger output crossfire unit or just use the one inside?
Joshua Bardwell , never had a radio with crossfire before, but I know it has great distance from a friend who has an IX12 spektrum radio, and he gets some fantastic distances, and mentioned that you could get some awesome output power from certain modules.
