I’m going to show how to knit a scarf with 1 row repeat. Itis great for scarfs and many other projects you may have in mind.
If you're a complete beginner, learning how to knit a scarf may appear difficult. You'll be knitting a scarf in just a few hours once you've mastered the basic stitch.
Knitting a scarf is a simple task for everybody. There's no need to go to the store and spend a lot of money! For beginners, you can begin by knitting a scarf. The simplest basic stitching pattern will be used in this scarf pattern. Two knitting needles and some yarn are all you'll need! Knitting mittens is a good option if you're seeking for a companion project that's a little more complex.
A knitting pattern is a set of written instructions for making something out of yarn. Knitting is a technique for manipulating yarn to make a textile or fabric. It's used to make a variety of outfits. Knitting can be done with either a hand or a machine. Knitting is a technique for creating yarn loops in a row, either flat or in the round.

this is such a sweet scarf 🥰 I am primarily a crocheter, although I did knit a l-o-n-g time ago, so I'm familiar with the basic stitches. I can't tell from looking at the picture...are you starting at the narrow end of the scarf or a long cast on lengthwise? If I were more of a knitter I probably would know 😉 I have crocheted for charity for years...and I think I'd like to do some knitted scarfs as a change up. Thanks for your share...and I subscribed 🤗

Pretty scarf..can I please ask why you start out casting on two needles together ?
I do that so that the first row is easier to knit. Otherwise. The cast on is to tight abs makes the 1st row harder to knit. Try it and let me know if you think it makes the first row easier to knit too!
Easy is not the same as beginner. I would love to make this scarf but need more detailed steps. Hopefully the host will offer more

What is the gauge for this pattern, including the needle size, what were the measurements of the finished project blocked, and how many yards of yarn did you use? I want to make it for an adult.
I do not remember the gauge and the needle size I used for this project The width of the scarf depends largely on personal. A skinny scarf can be fun and enjoyable when the weather isn’t too cold. A wider scarf is warmer for the winter. Traditionally, a scarf goes tip to tip. To do this, try holding your arms out so that the scarf reaches from your left finger across to your right one. On average, this scarf will be about 60" long. So, if you going for a 60” long scarf, look at the gauge instructions for your yarn and work it backwards on how many stitches you need and how much yarn. Hope that helps.

Can you use varigated yarn for this.

I have a young granddaughter I want to make this for. I have been practicing with multiple stitches for width. How many cast on stitches did you use on the pink scarf you made for your daughter. 14 doesn’t seem enough and your video your doing 10. The scarf is really pretty
Thank you sweetie. I don’t remember how many stitches exactly but looking at the pattern and the number of vertical “rows” in the scarf, I think I used about 24 stitches +2. Remember to do in multiple of 4 plus 2 stitches for the edge. The 10 stitches I did in the video is just to demo the pattern. Thank you.

What size needles?
It depends on the yarn you use. Look at your yarn label. I think for this specific yarn I used, it was a US size 7 or 8 label. I used a slightly larger needle than the label said since my daughter wanted it light and not dense and heavy. Thanks

How do you cast off
I do a loose bind off. Knit 2. Then knit the 2 stitches you just knitted into 1 stitch. Have fun! Thanks ☺️

This was a pretty thin yarn. Probably a US size 4-5 is probably what I used. What does the label of your yarn tell you to use. With this texture, I would use the needle size that the yarn skein suggests.
