This reminded me of my mother - sadly, now dead. She knitted a version of this type of scarf to keep her warm while playing outdoor bowls. It was so admired she ended up making every lady in the bowls club one. They became a sort of “badge” for the ladies section of the club for many years. Thank you for bringing back a very happy memory for me.

Repeat the pattern but stop making increases when width reaches 11.5 cm. I did not use super bulky yarn for this type of scarf
