Gixxers are good bikes. Just because some people squid out doesn't mean everyone who rides one is a squidet. My bike is the last in a long list of good bikes. I am very happy with it.

Back in 2004 they were beast. Crazy how a stock 2005-06 gsxr1000's today can clock better track times at button willow race track than the new ducati V4R.
K6 gsxr is undisputed. Still the fastest to go to 0 to 60 stock. 2.3 seconds

@@markmcknight6457 haha yeah its the k6. K7 came out with slight updates to the body and slight bump in horsepower but k6 was the actual squid missile and was light weight.

I’ve had 2 GSXR’s. A 1000 (way too much bike for the public road) and a 600 which was perfect. Great bikes right out of the box
You forgot the “hoodbusa” chromed out with a 6 foot swing arm, lowered so low it’s almost impossible to pull in to gas stations, led lights, not one mirror on the thing, and custom embroidered seat with the busa kanji.

You posted this a few days after I got my GSXR.. can’t get off that thing, love it.
Other than skipping the SRAD and saying Fi was introduced in the 2000's, this is bang on.
Suzuki introduced EFI to the gsxr 750 in the 1998 SRAD, which they introduced that model in 1996, and was a game changing bike with a light weight aluminum stressed frame. I sometimes wish I didn't sell my 98 750.
As a GSXR 750 owner this was gold lol. I’m sure I’ll be on a GSXR 1000 or an R1 for my next bike though
im quite intrested in the new GSX-8R that is about to release next year. Look like a fun bike
Lol have some respect for the carbs my man, tuning a carb is a fine art and when done correctly and jetted correctly works perfectly for thousands of miles without a hiccup
zef tuning - or a computer that does all your fueling for you. Adjusts your cams. Advances spark. Opens secondary valves. Detects and eliminates knock. Adjusts for altitude. And all the other stuff modern engine systems can do.
@@TeensierPython so no one should own a bike with carburetors? Maybe some of us prefer the raw mechanical feel, the induction sound. When tuned right it's as good as fuel injection. You just don't know how to tune one ;) also maybe I live in a flat country on sea level and don't care about elavation, also maybe I prefer 2 strokes, which don't have valves like your puny 4 stroke lol jk, love to all on 2 wheels
zef tuning - nah, do what you like. I like sweet modern electronic engine controls. You like old fine art carbs. If I could find a sweet old car/bike with a carb I’d buy it. I just prefer working on the new stuff.

GSXR750 is still the most fun bike I've owned, but I do love my current Street Triple. No squiding - all the gear all the time - even on the GSXR. Believe it or not, my Kawi Connie 14 was the scariest! Too top heavy for all that muscle.
Meanwhile, me on my Indian made single cylinder, oil cooled Gixxer 250 with an absolute monstrous 26 hp and 22 nm torque.
It's actually a good bike tho.
I’d love to see yam’s opinion on the CBR125R. If he hates the 250 GXSR he must absolutely shun the CBR, with it’s like 9hp and max speed of about 60... on a downhill, full aero tuck. LMAO

Hey Yam, Great list but I think you forgot the 2008 Suzuki GSX1300 B-King. Its not a GSXR but the hayabusa powered street-fighter is worth a mention IMO.
Love Gixxers, I've had two 750s, one was fightered. I was a total tit on my first 750, 2 broken arms, a snapped femur, a punctured lung and 3 days unconscious. I learned the hard way mate. I'm now a Busa rider here in England, 04 gen one, new lines, discs, tyres, calipers, and its rides very nice, no stupid mods all standard. Great gixxer video Mr Noob. And I'm a sensible boy now.

the video I've been waiting all my life on🙏 I've owned a sv650 for about two years now to hone my skills and I am looking to finally upgrade to the gsxr600 this winter.
Get a 750, they're literally just a fast 600 with more torque. You'll beat any other 600 too if you race. I started on my 750 trust me you won't regret it, or going for a 1000.
I just bought a 750 after two years on an '02 SV650.
First fuel injection GSXR came in 1998. Some in 98 were carbureted and some were fuel injected. Mine was carbureted 98 SRAD. Still miss that bike.
Got me a GSXS1000 all the power none of the uncomfortable riding and it’s dirt cheap! She’s a keeper!

I had 2 of the yamaha r3 bikes ( one for me when I started and later on one for my wife when she started) for my beginner bike. I have ridden all of the 300cc beginner bikes and I've got to say the Yamaha R3 is by far my favorite. One of the only small displacement bikes I've been on that road comfortably on the highway with two people on it

I started on a 2019 DRZ400S with 600 miles on it and last week moved up to a K5 2005 GSXR 600R with 3,800 miles on it. The transition is going super smooth. I have to agree the GSXR is the best in the 600cc Class. I rocket 🚀 in true squid 🦑 fashion with only a helmet and pair of gloves 🧤 plus my cargo shorts 🩳 that hasn’t gotten anyone laid since the Vietnam 🇻🇳 war!

Good timing. I just bought a 2008 GSX-R600 about a month ago. It's fast enough that I've wondered why anybody bothers with the 750 or the 1000. From a comfort perspective...I miss my Street Triple.
I've gotta get a GSXR750 one day. I've sat on one at the dealership, man they just feel right.
1st bike owned: '92 750 (oil cooled) miss that damn bike everyday...
Existing rocket in my garage: '03 GSXR600 "LOVE IT EVEN MORE" GSXR's are great bikes.

How about the GSX 150? Sure it's not a "big bike" but it is one of the best in it's class. I'm in SEA and have the "S" model because I wanted a more upright riding position. It gets 18.9 HP out of it's 147cc FI engine and is highly customizable. Water cooled, wet clutch and a 6 speed transmission. It's a winner in it's class. I used to ride a 1975 Yamaha RD350 and then the 650 special...that was good stuff.
I started off on a gixxer K4 and let me tell ya it was hella fun and not that bad to learn on.

i started on a 98 600. perfect beginner bike.
My dad was a bike racer here at local tracks and one day he had a 2000 gsxr1000 and he was going 80 in a 60 and a kid without insurance pulled out in front of him after several surgeries and blood transfusions he lived, that bike went from beautiful to scrap in the blink of an eye
Sold my K5 a couple of years ago and bought a SC57 CBR 1000RR, and looking forward in the future for a not-so-abused, second-hand Gixxer L9
Bought my first one in 91 brand new wish I still had it now I’m on a 06 BUSA wouldn’t own anything but a Suzuki!
Busa’s are an absolute thing of beauty, when people don’t make them show pieces that will never ride more than 2000km in their lifetime in and out of shows.
My buddy’s dad has one, and decided to show me how awesome 1/4 throttle wheelies are. It was the first time I nearly shit myself on a motorcycle and since that day just knew I needed one.
But; I also landed on getting a cruiser since I’m mid 20’s and don’t wanna leave the smell of burnt calamari for half a mile down any of our local roads.

Just sold my zx10rr , now on a gsxr1000r . Its a power house . One of the best 1000's ive owned .
The actual wet weight of the K5 gsxr 1000 is 444 lbs from the factory. Dry weights don't have to include fluid or consumables which tires battery and brake pads are considered consumables which at 366 lbs dry I'm sure suzuki omitted some of these because there's not 80 lbs of fluid in the bike.
