I have a beautiful 2007 Suzi GSXR 600. And yes it’s lowered because I’m short but not stretched. Runs great never a problem. Love the bike! Stay safe brothers and sisters!

Uncomfortable Truth I’ve rode it for two seasons and the valves are still in spec. Harley’s pull a premium here, sure I could get an iron head, but it won’t have the power or brakes that my Ducati has.

I tell you why Kawi made ZX14: Kawi got the speed record with the ZX11 (a sport tourer) in 1990 and kept it until 1995 when CBX blackbird came out. ZX14 is the evolution of that bike (ZX12 in early 2000s, then ZX14). Busa was built by Suzuki in late 90s to get into the competition. btw, the big Kawi was marketed as “Ninja ZX stg” only in the US: in the rest of the world is known as ZZR stg 8-)

It's common to do this too Honda xr600/650's fit cg125 petrol tank get forks shortened cut rear subframe shorter and weld on a loop you're basically there. The other way round sounds near impossible. Could go for the scrambler look I guess.
I had one of them (Honda Dream, that is) and it was all kinds of shite! Seriously though, I'm not trying to knock the ZX14, The Hayabusa, SuperBlackbird or any of the other hyperbikes, but there is no way that their weight, suspension or geometry are going to allow them to match more sporting bikes in the twisties. They're great at reaching ballistic speeds, but so are any of the other, far more modern machines. And those modern machines weigh far less, have far better suspension and brakes that are just astonishing. I'm not saying that a ZX14 is no fun to ride, but that weight thrills me not one bit.
@@davidcolin6519 the thing with the hyper bikes is they do a damn good job in the turns, not as good as the super bikes but are faster and more stable in a straight line and are by far more comfortable to ride for any long period of time. Overall as a bike for the road they’re better. On the track you want a super bike but that being said the Zx14 still has better cornering capability than most riders.
@@blakeotoole806 I get that, but for me, the experience of going through corners sweetly is what sets riding bikes apart. Compromising that aspect just come into my equation. And that's why I'm not seriously considering either. I'm 58 and have 2 herniated discs in my back, so a full on Superbike is never going to be on the cards, and in any case, I love my V twins. I've spent most of my life on Inline 4s and didn't realise until late that it was actually the nature of the engine that pushed me into going way too fast in way too many situations. That doesn't mean that I don't go seriously fast, but the V twin config is just so much easier to have fun on without needing to explore the outer limits. It really, really annoys me that there is literally only ONE manufacturer that produces big V2s these days. So it looks like the Super Duke in one of its iterations will be my next bike. Although the New Speed Triple might fit the bill, and I'll probably test ride the Streetfighter.

I love my 03 Gsxr 600. It is not stretched, I wear gear, and don’t want to throw a rod banging it off the limiter. It’s a beautiful bike in my eyes and a blast to ride.

What went wrong with small sports bikes? Back in the 90's we had the Suzuki RGV250 and Honda NSR250 which had nearly twice the power of a Ninja 250. We also had the Kawasaki ZXR400L which had 10hp more than the new Ninja 400. Small bikes were fun back then, I loved my screaming ZXR400 with its 14500 rpm redline
Spot on my first road bike was a tuned RG 25o , it kept up with pretty much anything in its day ,years later on I had a zzr 250 on loan , what a gutless thing it was LoL

He's saying people who buy ZX14's (like people who buy busas) don't care about corners they just want to go fast in a straight line. Of course most people who ride their bikes to work or tour on them will have chicken strips, the only people who regularly lean their bikes all the way are the ones who hit the canyons every week or take their bikes to the track.
Frankly I like the Victory bikes better as US cruisers--too bad they quit making them. I ride an ADV, but if I go with a cruiser some day probably be a Bolt. Peer pressure never worked on me.

I personally want a Can-Am not because I want a motorcycle, but because I want a Can-Am. It looks like something out of Star Wars, and when I sat in one at the car show, I really, REALLY liked how it felt. I don't think it belongs on the list tbh, it's not really a bike at all- some strange new type of vehicle. I personally want one of the small sporty Can-Ams, then a Trident 660.

Papa Noob, I for one, am getting tired of being passed on my R3 by my bigger squid 600+ CC brothers. Alright they humble to give me a nod or a simple hand gestured "hey". They rejoice as they leave me behind on 1st gear while am already on third and barely hitting 30 MPH. But one day I shall enjoy the mighty power of a MT09 or possibly MT10's hooligan capabilities and endless glory. In the mean time am I can do, is look down onto my R3 and thank her for the limited fun she can provide.
It one of those rare bikes that no matter the speed or revs.... you want to go you are not waiting for a "power band" to hit at insane revs. So easy to ride. Kawasaki named it right... it is a long distance sport bike.
I like the Harley Davidson breakout but I like it for its sound and looks and no. I won't b a snob , its just fun to ride with your group , listening to the gurthy sound and seeing sights is a fun thing .
Ninja 250 is the most practical bike for commuting when you need to make short jaunts in the freeway. There is nothing even close. Plus it is pretty fun to ride.

I've got a 1980 cb900f that's had a gsxr750 engine fitted in it still a going project but should be good when it's done wiring is the hardest part everything else comes along nicely getting a complete makeover still on honda brakes and wheels but powered by one of Suzuki's best engines 👍
That's all I hear about them. It's like how you have more fun driving a slow car at it's max, rather than driving a fast car at slower speeds. If it only goes 50mph you can wail on it all you want and still not get a ticket.
People hate the BSA 250 singles. I love it because I can pick them up with low mileage super cheap and they run great. The triumph guys hated it because it took the place of the triumph Cub but no one was really buying triumph Cubs anyway and Edward Turner figured anything smaller than a 250 with not a real motorcycle 🏍️.
I love my zx14, but yes, it is a big, fat, powerful bike and is hated by a lot of ppl, hahaha. But it is still fun for cornering and also for highways, long trips and for everyday use. But it could use a supercharger of a h2!

bought my '19 ZX14R used with 2100 miles on it. first things i did were replace those awful COFFMANS pipes and removed the 9"-12" swingarm extensions. stock wheelbase and she handles fanfuckingtastic now. i love the twisties. hate the H2. horribly uncomfortable to me.

Have a gsxr 600 that was clapped out when I bought it didn’t even run. fixed it got it running learned how to ride on it haven’t stretched it or anything really stupid but did put led’s sorry they were like 10 bucks on wish and makes for color lighting effects when I take photos with it haha

I had an 07 gsxr 600 back in 07 and all my other friends had similar 600s. The Suzuki in that era was the fastest.

He's saying people who buy ZX14's (like people who buy busas) don't care about corners they just want to go fast in a straight line.
Of course most people who ride their bikes to work or tour on them will have chicken strips, the only people who regularly lean their bikes all the way are the ones who hit the canyons every week or take their bikes to the track.

Frankly I like the Victory bikes better as US cruisers--too bad they quit making them. I ride an ADV, but if I go with a cruiser some day probably be a Bolt. Peer pressure never worked on me.

I personally want a Can-Am not because I want a motorcycle, but because I want a Can-Am. It looks like something out of Star Wars, and when I sat in one at the car show, I really, REALLY liked how it felt. I don't think it belongs on the list tbh, it's not really a bike at all- some strange new type of vehicle. I personally want one of the small sporty Can-Ams, then a Trident 660.

Papa Noob, I for one, am getting tired of being passed on my R3 by my bigger squid 600+ CC brothers. Alright they humble to give me a nod or a simple hand gestured "hey". They rejoice as they leave me behind on 1st gear while am already on third and barely hitting 30 MPH. But one day I shall enjoy the mighty power of a MT09 or possibly MT10's hooligan capabilities and endless glory. In the mean time am I can do, is look down onto my R3 and thank her for the limited fun she can provide.

It one of those rare bikes that no matter the speed or revs.... you want to go you are not waiting for a "power band" to hit at insane revs. So easy to ride. Kawasaki named it right... it is a long distance sport bike.
I like the Harley Davidson breakout but I like it for its sound and looks and no. I won't b a snob , its just fun to ride with your group , listening to the gurthy sound and seeing sights is a fun thing .

I've raced a 1998 Kawasaki ZX-9 and a 2004 Yamaha R1, and the 2011 Suzuki GSX-R750 street bike I have now is just as fast but lighter. Awesome.

Ninja 250 is the most practical bike for commuting when you need to make short jaunts in the freeway. There is nothing even close. Plus it is pretty fun to ride.

I've got a 1980 cb900f that's had a gsxr750 engine fitted in it still a going project but should be good when it's done wiring is the hardest part everything else comes along nicely getting a complete makeover still on honda brakes and wheels but powered by one of Suzuki's best engines 👍

That's all I hear about them. It's like how you have more fun driving a slow car at it's max, rather than driving a fast car at slower speeds. If it only goes 50mph you can wail on it all you want and still not get a ticket.

People hate the BSA 250 singles. I love it because I can pick them up with low mileage super cheap and they run great. The triumph guys hated it because it took the place of the triumph Cub but no one was really buying triumph Cubs anyway and Edward Turner figured anything smaller than a 250 with not a real motorcycle 🏍️.

I love my zx14, but yes, it is a big, fat, powerful bike and is hated by a lot of ppl, hahaha. But it is still fun for cornering and also for highways, long trips and for everyday use. But it could use a supercharger of a h2!

bought my '19 ZX14R used with 2100 miles on it. first things i did were replace those awful COFFMANS pipes and removed the 9"-12" swingarm extensions. stock wheelbase and she handles fanfuckingtastic now. i love the twisties. hate the H2. horribly uncomfortable to me.

Agreed. A bunch of their bikes look & behave the same & they all have their weight problems but there’s a couple out there that look gorgeous with the right aftermarket treatments. Same can be said about the look of sport bike clones. I like the look of a sport bike except when I sit on them & can’t wrap my head around the trees & forks running through the dashboard/fairing.

Have a gsxr 600 that was clapped out when I bought it didn’t even run. fixed it got it running learned how to ride on it haven’t stretched it or anything really stupid but did put led’s sorry they were like 10 bucks on wish and makes for color lighting effects when I take photos with it haha
