    I had to use 1 and 1/4 cup of warm milk and two eggs instead because even with sifted bread flour the dough was too dense. It may just be because I'm here in Texas. But i did the recipe and the dense dough was heavy and thick and not the consistency it should have been.. When i adjusted the measurements of the egg and milk the dough was soft and tacky. So much better. Now I'm on the second proofing, will update shortly~
    With the adjustments I made,, they came out beautiful. And cooked all the way through.
    It seems that 3\4 cup of milk for 4 cups of flour is just not possible

      That is true... but people often call them that because Isreal is a Jewish state.
