Really awesome and then I looked at the price ... this is definitely an enthusiasts thing so I get it, I guess it's cool to never have to replace a whole new stick when a new console comes out you just have to replace the PCB.
this looks really nice, I just wish there was more customization options. what if I want more auxilliary buttons or a different button layout like the classic Mortal Kombat layout or Sega Player 2?
Hey bud I need ask you a question I also have a phreak mods jlf link But the dust washers that I bought are too small like the whole that the link actually goes it was too small so can you tell me if there’s a dust washer that is the right size like which one do you use that fits?
Hi did you ask them to change the top panel or do they come like that? In all the photos on their website it only has 4 slots for buttons and the usb slot is on the right. I really want to build a stick but I would want L3 and R3 buttons.
robanybody87 I believe this is standard now to accommodate all the inputs from the brook boards. However if you don’t require you can just let Marvelous know before placing an order. I’m sure they can accommodate.
For a PlayStation/Xbox/PC-themed arcade stick, I recommend a light blue sanwa button with a green rim for X/A, a red sanwa button with a red rim for circle/B, a pink sanwa button with a dark blue rim for square/X, a green sanwa button with a yellow rim for triangle/Y and four black sanwa buttons with black rims for the L1/LB, L2/LT, R1/RB and R2/RT buttons. And as for the lever, a Myoungshin Fanta.
Could you tell me how do you tell the joystick that you are playing on PC or PS4? I know the Jansen sticks have a rocker switch but I don't see that on the Marvelous sticks. I ask cause I think I might build one, so just curious.
Yeah for sure. You just have to be creative about mounting it. The battery is on the bottom side. I used a piece of acrylic. Drilled some holes on the corners, popped on adhesive feet, and then zip tied the whole rig onto it.
Amazing video! I wanted to ask you how is the stick holding up? Were you able to get it working on the PS4 wireless without problems? Im interested in building a project like this for myself.
Hey Jony, I know this upload is over 6 months old, but by any chance, do you still have a copy of the original template you used to create your artwork? I'm interested in building one of these cases, but I recently downloaded the template from the MC site, and it's missing the border/MC logo layer. After writing them, I got a reply from Joe, who mentioned that the layer should be in the template. The only problem I MIGHT have is that when I load the .psd, I get an error that I THINK is related to missing the font included in the bleed line layer, but since I'm still using CS3, I'm not sure if the layer is just not compatible with my version. Were you able to load that layer, or did you recreate it? I would recreate it, but without having the case yet, it would be tought to guess where the rear button guides should go on the border as you hsve on your artwork. Anyway, thanks for reading, and keep it up with the great content!
Oh, man - no worries! I'm just happy you took the time to reply. If you could upload that blank template with the MC branded overlay layers somewhere, or ask Joe to update the version linked on the site, I would TRULY appreciate it!
Hey, dude. Great video. Super informative and super slick. My question is what artwork is that? Is it your own custom artwork or is it the Marvelous Customs Artwork. It's super sick. I need that.
Thanks for the kind words.. I can’t fully claim the art since the main abstract image is a sourced image from the net. However I did create all the accents and logos. This stick is actually for my daughter - thus the colorway.
Theoretically, you could install this as a lefty stick if you didn't have any artwork on that lower panel, yeah? I would think you'd just flip it over. Getting a lefty setup is a real problem, I tell ya
100 bucks for a case? it looks good but u can get one for 17 bucks on alliexpress works the same more space for the wrist actually and i can spend on other components
Its about the same range as any custom stick. Unfortunately, customs will never be able to compete with factory made sticks. But what you get in return is something completely unique.
You have to think about these as a personalized custom piece. Like functional artwork that’s one of a kind. You can always just buy store bought sticks if you don’t care for custom work.
The price of the standard case is stupid, $80 to $90 for a couple of pieces of acrylic, I get custom work costs, but where is the reason for such a cost, its a bloody box.
Brannen Thompson I respect your opinion.. From my personal experience - I make an all acrylic case myself called the BnB. It sells for basically the same price and I am barely making a profit. I only make money back when bundling other services like artwork, etc. Acrylic costs and laser cutting is not cheap. Try uploading a similar file on ponoko.com and see how much it costs to get an idea. You also have to factor in the time it takes to prep the acrylic for hardware + parts (countersinking holes, etc). If you got the know how to make a stick on your own than of course it’s gonna be a little cheaper. But keep in mind custom builders like myself and marvelous customs are small outfits and don’t mass produce these things and don’t have access to raw materials at discounted rates. If you got a hook up let me know!
@@brannenthompson9662 @jonyfraze There are many factors that go into pricing. Here is the breakdown of the pricing that usually goes into laser cutting. $1.50 per minute on laser + $11.00 per hour (labor) + cost of materials (acrylic). Most of the cost is the acrylic. If you have a discount on raw materials let me know. Maybe we can get an acrylic case that is more budget friendly. Thank you for your feedback.
@@brannenthompson9662 u can actually get a case on alliexpress for 17 bucks its the same u dont need a fancy box then spend the money on the components thats the main point

You can just buy a cheap case and fit it out with parts. Guy's only paying extra for the look and case. You can make a stick out of a cardboard box.
this looks really nice, I just wish there was more customization options. what if I want more auxilliary buttons or a different button layout like the classic Mortal Kombat layout or Sega Player 2?
Hi I bought the same DYI arcade case does buttons are 30mm or 24mm? Thanks
30mm
Can you give us a wiring tutorial? I'm planning on building one but nervous about the wiring
Yeah, it's a shame he time-lapse skipped over that part.
its plug and play u got this
Would you saw that acrylic is almost as good as wood for an arcade stick? I was thinking about this or foe hammer
Kaeside Iwuagwu just a different feel not really better or worse
You could use it wirelessly on PC with a Bluetooth adapter and DS4 Windows.
dope! ill give that a try when i get my gaming new laptop
You don’t need ds4 windows, windows10 will recognize it.
@@tyborg314 can't get mine to work. Then tried DS4 Windows with half functionality. Ie. Non working analog sticks. (works okay with PS4)
Do they no longer sell the 6 buttons on the back version?
I’m sure they do. Just reach out to the MC directly

Dustin Nunn you’re in literally every Fightstick video comment section
Hello cool .do you have a photo of the sanwa color
Can u please do a wiring harness tutorial video
I also wanted to ask you can you combine that setup with the Brook UFB?
Ruben Mejia its possible.
Can I put a Korean stick in it?
Yes but it has to be specified when ordering
hey boss how sturdy is the stick? I get salty and slap the fight stick at times lol
super sturdy. the top and bottom acrylic layers are thick.
Could you tell me how do you tell the joystick that you are playing on PC or PS4? I know the Jansen sticks have a rocker switch but I don't see that on the Marvelous sticks. I ask cause I think I might build one, so just curious.
Im assuming the pcb works by holding down a button combination when plugged in
Think I met you at ECT this year. Dope review. How's it holding up since you reviewed it? Not bending or anything?
Mauldie yeah I was hosting a table there with KleverArt. This stick is holding up super strong.
Jon Bonilla dope. I played SF3 on the little cabinet you guys had next to your both with a friend
Last question boss. I ordered the padhack from modsbysteve. Do you think it'll fit a panzer 3 case?
Yeah for sure. You just have to be creative about mounting it. The battery is on the bottom side. I used a piece of acrylic. Drilled some holes on the corners, popped on adhesive feet, and then zip tied the whole rig onto it.
Awesome thank you
Amazing video! I wanted to ask you how is the stick holding up? Were you able to get it working on the PS4 wireless without problems? Im interested in building a project like this for myself.
Ruben Mejia it’s holding up really well and yes it’s working wirelessly on PS4. I use it often for casuals.

Friend you don't know how to put a qanbaq4raf LEDs?
xX_AZAEL_Xx1 Kof2002 what do you mean ? It’s very easy to do.

Getting a lefty setup is a real problem, I tell ya
only issue would be the countersink holes for the screws but the marvelous customs guys may be able to fix that before they ship it.
Very nice but a tad overpriced. With some extras you hit the 350$ mark. I got a monster joystick which is like 150$ including the rasberry pi 3b+
At that price you're better off buying an omni arcade stick.
Damn yo!! Over 2K views ?!?!?
Hell ya!

Dustin Smith, Joe the owner of marvelous customs gave me the one in this video in person during evo 2017 for me to create a assembly tutorial.
