I have this on my refreshed M3 LR. It is one of the best accessories. It makes it feel like a cockpit and the screen is positioned in the driver’s direction. I will get this on all Teslas
Not sure about this. One of the things I like in the standard fit is that the speedo reading is level with top of steering wheel, just to left of steering wheel. It’s in comfortable eyeline. Dropping the height doesn’t seem like a good idea. Interesting option though.
So far the soft close frunk / bonnet is at the top of my must fit accessories, beyond me why this isn't a factory fit. Always used to worry me that the many presses of the bonnet would eventually deform it as it's pretty flimsy. Not sure about this screen swivel, can't say I've had any frustration with the standard fit but perhaps it's one of those don't know what you're missing till you try it.
How loose is the mount, does it eventually droop over time with rough road surfaces etc? Also is the kit the same for both RHD and LHD, I believe for the up to 2023 model the swivel part was offset to account for the steering wheel?
Driven several Tesla’s, tens of thousands of miles & never needed to adjust the screen. Would be concerned about a passenger moving it and me not being able to see when driving. Nice idea but for me you are solving a problem which doesn’t exist. That said, really like your content, very helpful. Thanks & keep up the good work.
@@alangravy27 not sure we have 5 haha. We don’t really fit accessories other than this and the Alcantara Dashboards so it would be hard to recommend others that we don’t have experience with.
Is Tesla the only manufacturer where you buy a car, then have to finish it yourself? So, you need to add a display in front of your eyes, maybe a heads up option, then add a gear selector, and of course finish off with a some indicator stalks.... what a palaver. At least they're selling a completely round steering wheel now.
😂 what about the cost of the kit? We don’t make people have these fitted by us and Richard actually mentions that you can fit it yourself if you buy it from somewhere else. For some that are not comfortable fitting it it’s easier if we supply and fit.
@@powersurge6878 my wife is very pleased with it on 'TBX'. Richard's point about it being easier to reach for him is equally true for her - albeit she's a lot shorter!
This is what I was thinking. Not sure how kindly Tesla service would take to people fiddling with the wiring for the screen. Maybe the warranty for the electrics would be void but the motor etc and batteries would remain intact?
Warranty not affected. Unless the bracket causes an issue with the functionality of the screen then it’s all good. Even then they would not cover that issue but you can’t void a car warranty with fitting an aftermarket accessory.
@@mra9085Tesla see hundreds of these and other accessories fitted al the time. We had cars with this upgrade that went into Tesla for warranty work absolutely nothing was mentioned.
I’m Serge in that video. What comments have been ignored? We don’t stay on TH-cam all the time and reply to what we can when we can. We do have full time jobs haha.
Just saw your other comments and it seems you’re looking for a Highland Model 3. I would suggest enquiring on the website or checking out our stock and you will get a reply.
My nephew has one of these RSEV tilt mechanisms on his M3 and it is excellent.
Best modification I have made to the two Model 3s in our family. I actually wouldn't own one now without.

I've got one on my '19 M3 LR and it's brilliant. £90 off Amazon and watched a few vids to instal...15 mins done
Another great video & they look fantastic 👍
Thanks 👍
Maybe Tesla should make this a standard feature.
Model S and X have it, I believe.
no thanks
Nice. However, as you need to take your eyes from what’s in front of you to see the speed having it even lower could potentially be a problem.
Not a problem at all. Once you see it in a car you will want it 😊
if you were worried about that, you probably wouldn't buy a tesla with its look away scrreen, no indicator stalks and wonkey-donkey gear selector.
Looks good. A shame it doesn't offer the option to go a bit higher.

Snap, 90k miles... 3 years.. never thought "man i wish i could tilt this screen"...
I use the recharge pad to view the Scan my Tesla app on a spare phone. I assume the lower screen would slightly obscure that.

Wished Tesla would do something like the BMW iDrive controller - driving & trying to operate that screen is impossible

Do you fit the after market stalk kits for Highland?
Not at the moment
Please could you do 5 accessories you would have and 5 to avoid?

what make swivel kit do you recommend? I believe some types are a little squeaky.
Hansshow are pretty good. Never heard one squeak.
Where are they made?

Oh yeah, forgot about the "sexy buttons" you have to install to avoid a prod, prod, prod-fest to change any settings.
Shooting From The Hip lol How Much Would It Cost To Replace Say A Worn Steering Rack At Over 100K Shockaroonie Al Bet
Not sure what you’re asking there
Parts wise, similar to say a Tucson either new, used or reconditioned. Labour would depend on difficulty and where you had it done. Same as anything.
£240 for 20 minutes work WOW!
Paying for the knowledge of how to do it, not the time it takes.
You are buying the bracket as well as the fitting. 🙄

warranty gone
Would it affect insurance premium?

Standard screen looks much better and it’s easier to see the speed as your not looking down as far, I also think the wood looks better
