This quickly became my dream car. If only they could offer the option of the bed, blackout curtains. And projector screen and projector, some kind of extra cushy seat covers for the back seats, and folding trays for having over your legs for eating/snacking. Then it could be a bedroom/power nap room on wheels, as well as a living-room. And with stable enough trays, you could also use them as desks for laptops, and use it as a mobile office as well. All in a tiny space. It would not be a camper van, or even close, but still. I think the looks are charming as well. I find the Ignis and C3 picasso charming as well. So it is a car in my taste. Sure I dream of cool sports cars, nice looking cabs as well, but right now, this is the car I actually wish I had.
That car feels like the first Twingos, just a good small car, to make a bit of camping, festivals and other stuff like that. Just the prize is a bit too high for it beeing an interesting offer for young people and looks a bit too big on the outside.
11:13 The maximum DC charge is 73 kW and 85 kW respectively. So why is the charging time at 150 kW specified, whereas the car can't handle that charging power?
This is because the battery capacity is small at 49kW. The charging speed depends on the battery capacity. Of course, the battery used in INSTER is a good battery, unlike the price of the vehicle. So, the C rate can be increased to increase the charging speed to over 100kW, but the charging speed is set appropriately for a longer lifespan.
Interior designed by a Dutch designer. So that explains why it’s great. We don’t have any car industry in NL but we provide lots of great designers to the industry elsewhere.
I’m loving the sliding rear seat options we’re getting on cars now. I mean it’s quite silly to sit all cramped up in the rear whilst you’re not even using your boot?!
Love to see some innovative packaging in a small car. Flexible rear seat room and storage. This is one spot where Mini has really lost a step. They don't offer anything with as good of packaging as a 1st-gen Countryman in their current line-up.
Why tf would they put the turn signals so low in the rear? They could have done cool switchback sequental indicators from the pixel lights.. but no, they did that? Nobody is gonna notice the turn signal so low anyway. Thats stupid.
stowable rear seats aren't a new idea in compact cars or minivans Subaru for example has had the feature since the 360 in the 1960s and the Chrysler minivans have had it since 1988. my moms owned 3 Hyundai cars in the last 2+ decades an 03 Elantra an 05 Sonata and a 12 Azera and liked/loved all three we had the Sonata for 14.5 years and about 165,000 miles until it was totaled in an emissions test drive in Nov 2019

The Rodney in me is screaming "Groovy" that has a modern retro vibe quite cool looking thing from Hyundai
I notice all the EV chanel journalists flew to Korea to review this car 😂
I assume South Korea and not Fat Boy's North
They get paid by Hyundai. That's why journalists are generally not to be trusted, they're looking at these cars with super roze tinted glasses
Yeah. They are trying to reduce their CO2 emissions. Oh wait...

All cars should have that sliding rear seat mechanism.... It just makes so much sense.
Also, is it just me that thinks the black version looks the best?
Ok now thank you Hyundai for making the real successor of the first Renault twingo
Almost 50kwh battery and it weighs 1.3 tons. That is mighty impressive for an electric car.
Amazing car for camping, charging your devices over night etc. I really like it and it's so convenient to get out over the middle of the car when the parking place is tiny on your side... Everything looks so convenient (but not the charging cables as no easy place to get them in and out).
Great car, but let's be honest, this car is a good £10k too expensive. Enough is enough with these daft inflated prices.
Yep, and we pay a good few thousand more than EU and get less kit!
This is called the Casper in Korea, I think thats a better name than Inster. Inster sounds like a startup company name lol
sounds like a kitchen appliance machine sold on home shopping tv channels
What Fiat should be making. Well done KIA. European OEMs are done, gone and they deserve their destiny.
New Fiat Panda is about to drop, it’ll be exactly this ballpark, built in Europe.
Hyundai, not Kia.
@@정도현-q4t같은회사라고 봐도 되죠
Except Renault
Hold your horses there. This is competing with the Citroen e C3, Fiat grande Panda, Renault 5, the VW ID2 and whatever the cheaper Skoda will be called. It’s going to be a very busy market in a couple of years. In my view, this is more practical than the others but the R5 and Panda have it beat on style.
I would just buy it for those foldable seats. Why does not every car have that?
Once again...Hyundai understands automobility.👍
1:02 Anyone missing the classic “Buy. Sell. Carwow” voiceover? 🥲
Yes and no. Yes cus it was unique but no cus it was yet another thing that I'd had to sit thro every single video that is completely irrelevant to me
No cause it sounded shit
a very practical small electric car, this is what electric cars should be about
I feel like this will be a pretty popular car.
The backseat blew my mind. 😂😂😂I even thought that I had changed a video.
UK car does not have blindspot monitoring and 360 camera, nor the sunroof
Top spec does.
@@GregNicolas-vb6vjNo it doesn’t - not in the UK. Because we’re being ripped off as usual. Rest of Europe can spec them. I think we can only get those in the upcoming Cross model.
Got to experience this car a few weeks back at Everything Electric show (previously Fully charged Show) and from my time with it, its a proper iconic nugget. Hyundai are already offering test drives. Its a shame Carwow don't have a public show like Fully Charged do, to physically experience the past 12 months of reviewed/ Drag raced cars in one place !
It's kinda ugly, and I love it. Loads of personality and the customizability of the rear seats makes it super versatile.
It looks like a tiny Land Rover from the front - looks awesome! 😊
This car look like straight out of cyberpunk 2:37 we are going towards future
It looks like an electric Exter(a i10 based Hyundai car we get in India) 1:45
I would buy it in a heartbeat if it was offered by Hyundai in my country.😊
That car feels like the first Twingos, just a good small car, to make a bit of camping, festivals and other stuff like that. Just the prize is a bit too high for it beeing an interesting offer for young people and looks a bit too big on the outside.
thought the same about the size. But apparently it's between the i10 and i20.
Not lots of smaller cars left on the market...
Changing your ca..
*Skips 35 seconds* 😂
Sorry Mat
You're like most of us 😅🙌
Interior designed by a Dutch designer.
3.9mi/kWh converted to something that I see on my screen will be about 15.9kWh/100km, which is very good!
Thank you for helping out the people off the island ❤
Still much more than a Model 3. My average is 13kWh/100km.
@ Your Model 3 is shaped like a melting popsicle, where the Inster is shaped like fridge 😁
I mean.. not really. A much larger more powerful and heavier Tesla Model Y has better efficiency.
@@Twin.motors my answer was a compliment to Tesla’s efficiency 👍🏻
Id buy two of these and a Santa Fe for my 2-ish car driveway if Hyundai sold this in USA
Why is the channel not at 10 mil subs yet....cmon people. This is the best online car show these days by far.
Probably because most people can't afford a new car and buy used.
no its not, not even close. Drag races on airfields its the best
@@BlatantBurnerAccount its staged
not my style but I love that it exists. No gimmicks, thrills or frills. a car that works for the masses
Not giving the 5 cool and annoying features is a crime
Surprisingly a good car and you can fold a front seat as well? nice you can actually carry long items in small car
Hyundai is on fire with these cars
This car is pretty cool, if your city only driving this car is a no brainer
Why tf would they put the turn signals so low in the rear? They could have done cool switchback sequental indicators from the pixel lights.. but no, they did that? Nobody is gonna notice the turn signal so low anyway. Thats stupid.
Bro I wish all small things could shock people
Love it… apart from the b pillar and maybe the c pillar. Just something not quite right there.
Ramps the mic up to show how "loud" the windows is. Forgets later and lowers the rear one and it's not loud at all
motors front and rear are likely not the same
It's very interesting to see how much the repair costs will be if a car is involved in a front-end collision.
a car with a face only a mother could love.
I just love the front seats, so retro like 90s small cars seats
Yo hyundai's been cooking lately ❤
Love the 1990's CREEEAAK when closing the door. Looks quite sleek. Retro rocks.
stowable rear seats aren't a new idea in compact cars or minivans Subaru for example has had the feature since the 360 in the 1960s and the Chrysler minivans have had it since 1988. my moms owned 3 Hyundai cars in the last 2+ decades an 03 Elantra an 05 Sonata and a 12 Azera and liked/loved all three we had the Sonata for 14.5 years and about 165,000 miles until it was totaled in an emissions test drive in Nov 2019
3:44 "It doesn't wobble though..."
*The whole console wobbles like jelly*
Please review the Genesis EV70
If there was an ICE or hybrid version it would be a really great deal. I like all the physical buttons, cameras and how spacious it is but electric cars are out of the question when you drive across Europe couple of times a year
Smart move from Hyundai making a budget small electric car.
I was waiting for the Dacia Duster and Inster and got them both this week.... Thanks Matt.
I love the design so much!
