These are great numbers for a truck without tuning.
As an owner of a duramax diesel truck who makes my living towing with my truck, reliability comes first.I like HP/TQ numbers,but parts have to last before I spend my money.The stock hot side is a multi piece tube.Too many potential leaks, leading to lost boost, leading to lost fuel mileage.Just can't have that.So,a one piece upgrade to hot and cold sides is coming soon.Less leaks is cool.
How the hell have i just found this channel. I'm super local in the shaw. Will definitely be looking into this whole kit. Ryan's actually done work on my old truck before.
What would be REALLY cool, is to see HSP make that cold air intake work on an lml with a l5p hood swap!!!

I'd be interested in seeing this injunction with the Banks Derringer, and what the numbers show then.
I just bought the air intake, hot and cold side, and plan to buy the derringer in a couple weeks and have it all done by thanksgiving, I'll let you know how it turns out.

@@johnathonlewis5297 I have a Derringer and been running the HSP intake on my L5P for about 3 months now. Only other mod is a Wehrli intake horn. iDash said 527hp and 1,008tq at 200ft above sea level and 40 degrees F. Haven't been able to beat it yet.

Just curious. Why is he referring to 2500 vs 4500 rpms. That’s more like 1500 area for peak torque & 3200 area HP. These trucks don’t rev up to 4500 unless its a fully build race truck which this isn’t or downshifting as a engine brake etc

The aftermarket hot side pipe rubber boot to the intercooler is going to fail.
The stock hot side pipe has a very flexible 10" rubber section in it for a reason. The engine moves around a lot.

@@TruckMaster do you think they would be able to do a banks intake vs hsp intake I have the bank's now but I would love to switch if it is worth, not just looking cool but actually seeing horse power gains, I mean it looks like there's has more HP gains but the dyno should tell us the truth, please see if you can make this happen

I have the exact same truck except it’s a dually 19 high country, I love that thing and as of right now it has all the banks goodies, but I also hav3 a HSP traction bar setup and I love it.

Just curious. The L5P gets quite a bit of air from the ram air on the hood. Did you try dynoing it with the hood closed and the fan blowing in the hood scoop? Seems you could potentially see an increase in power.
No they want as much numbers as possible. Tell everyone why you dyno with the hood up when you don't drive with it up

Can you post the upgraded average HP and torque numbers and stock numbers. Thinking of going this route and hope to lose my dead pedal.
Would an upgraded intercooler make any difference ? say a mishimoto or banks ?

I got a question for you the HSP does it come as a kit or are you to buy individually that’s a hot side in the cold side right that’s not that’s for the inner cooler not the radiator cause I know you talked about the radiator hose too how you could relocate that from the top I was just wondering if that came as a kit that hot and cold side

Throw the intake bundle on It shouldn't void the warranty your not tunning it or anything like that.
If you install the cold, hot & air intake there is no need for a tune yet. Right??

My 19' l5p has 2600miles, regened 3 times this weekend! Recall on regen frequency! Mt.Clemens dealer not taking in customers until April, run it on the freeway? Can I change the shift timing on the Allison?
It’s a recall issue.. the dealer should be able to address it
