- Today I try out my new steel stamps I got from my friend Alina . I did 3 melts today Aluminum Cans , Bullet Casings & Copper Pipe and made 3 awesome bars . These stamps are great and make any bar look 100 times better. now sit back take a load off and check out todays video.

HOW TO MIRROR FINISH A BAR
I start with an 80 grit flap disc on my angle grinder then I use my drill with 50 mm round sanding discs . I start with 150 grit then go through the following Grits 240-400-800 Then once I get to the following Grits I use a small squirt of WD-40 1200-1500-2000-2500-3000. The WD40 helps to lubricate the discs and stops the sanding disk binding up with the metal powder . Then after that I use my buffer wheel on my bench grinder to get a perfect mirrored finish on it.

Back again for another melt, today I try out my new stamps that I got and they are absolutely awesome and make any bar look great👍🏻. I'm still moving house and shed so hopefully I can be a step closer next Friday but there's just so much to do to move everything across but priority one is to continue with my Friday videos😁. Now as I always say have an awesome weekend stay safe and I will see you all on next week's video 👋🏻
I know you have a flow I understand but you could've just made some videos ahead of time and posted them every Friday till the move is finished and just did some mini personal melts for yourself every Friday to remove some of the stress yes?
So less stress and nothing changes off-or on screen to much either

My little bloke (turning 3 in November) loves 'the melting man' channel. He looks around my shed sometimes and asks where I hide my hamburgers!!
Give him a thrill from time to time and hide burgers, PBJ sandwiches, etc. ..... tell him "we're gonna go find lunch in the shed".
No vegimite though, don't know how or why anyone would eat that s&#t

@@emzirek he just melts down different metals every Friday and adds it to a shelf, his goal is 2000 lbs of ingots.
You know what would be a great tool for you? One of those smaller shredders, that just turns any can, copper pipe/wire and aluminum in to small granular bits, that would fill up the crucible nicely and makes for fun to watch content, seeing stuff get shredded :)

Yes I completely agree I would love to get a shredder but unfortunately in Australia the cheapest shredder available I could find is a refurbished one and they want $30,000 for it😳😳. I was thinking a couple of thousand would be worth getting but 30,000 is crazy

I've always liked the idea of having elemental cubes with their chemical symbol and atomic weight on them, for some reason. I guess ingots with their ids stamped onto them is the next best thing. The metallic elements are probably the easier to make, but even they take some effort to achieve.
When he first showed the stamps my first thought was “How the hell do you cast bromine.”
He's made element cubes before in a video a couple years ago
@@Kiwi_Teen he went to Uranus. The temp there is low enough bromine condenses and solidifies.
I also like the idea of giving a small child a 100% pure cube of uranium
Love the idea of a plutonium cube (small children will love eating the small cubes)

Here in the UK, it's my official start to the weekend.😀 a cup of tea and a melt, after I get home from work.
I like how you can tell the different specific heats and freezing temps of the metals the way that the ice block was set up this week, super cool comparison with three similarly weighted ingots :)

Always find it humorous with the different items used to destroy the ice block. A freaking ladder. A log. Another piece of metal. A sledgehammer.

Please be careful when heating food in cans....sometimes there is a layer of plastic on the inside to protect food from metal taste that can melt..... love the melt.
these kinds of cans dont contain that
its mostly aluminium ones that do
heck people used to put these cans into a fire and still do when camping just make sure to crack the seal 😂

I just have to admit, seeing so many casings get melted down hurts my soul a little bit lol. But I know they wouldn’t do anyone any good over there really.
Just tell yourself they were from some factory we never heard about thus they're all berdan primed and not worth the effort.

I hear you about the move. I'm in my new house just 3 weeks ago. If anything in a move could go wrong it did with mine. The sewer backed up twice. I was almost 48 hours with out sleep, because we had to be out of the apartment. I had the rental truck and car tow trailer for 4 days. May the rest of your move go smoothly. Can't wait to see the new shed.
